The location is superb, you walk right into Vatican City or Rome city center. The host is very friendly and full of tips and advice. Breakfast consists of coffee/tea, orange juice, a cup of yogurt, wrapped mini-cakes, and wrapped toast with some jam. The room was nice and clean, has a fridge and cooker. The bed was good! Of course, it's an old building, but we found that charming! The bathroom is fine, with enough towels, and cleaned daily. The B&B on the fourth floor had everything you need for a stay in the beautiful city center of Rome!

My wife and I were lucky enough to spend a week at Lauro's 4th Floor B&B. The apartment has an excellent location, is central yet quiet. Restaurants and shops are located right nearby. Most of Rome's attractions are easily reachable on foot within a few minutes. A transfer stop to and from Fiumicino Airport is a 5-minute walk from the accommodation. The apartment is sufficiently large for 2 people, well equipped, and clean. Lauro is very helpful and very accommodating. It is to be appreciated that he personally takes care of everything and puts all his love into it, and you can see that! From us, an absolute recommendation.

Grazie per la vostra recensione. Mi piacerebbe sapere quali sono alcuni dettagli da migliorare, così da poterli mettere in atto. Grazie per il rapporto qualità/prezzo se è commisurato (strano 7). Mi dispiace per la pulizia 5, Non posso grattare anche il pavimento e la pulizia che avete avuto è il massimo che si possa ottenere in una casa ex monastero del 1300 e con i pavimenti (vedi bagno) con mattonelle a terra originali degli anni 30 (alcuni architetti sono letteralmente impazziti) che ovviamente sono consumate e annerite dal tempo ma non sporche. Basta passare un dito a terra e fare la prova. La mia casa è sempre pulita al massimo e anche disinfettata giornalmente. Nella stanza ci sta il parquet originale e viene soltanto tolta la polvere ogni giorno. Così si gestisce un parquet. Gestore 7: oltre la accoglienza che non mi sembra mai formale, dato il mio mestiere, e la gentilezza poi di dare qualunque informazione, in soli due giorni che altro vi aspettavate? La colazione è a norma di legge e sono obbligato a dare tutte le cose confezionate. Il numero delle cose è scritto nelle normative della regione Lazio ed io eseguo senza discutere. Ho amici che hanno pagato indecenti multe per aver offerto crostate sublimi fatte in casa. Comunque il mio ex monastero del 1300, nel Rione più costoso ed esclusivo di Roma (Borgo- ex Vaticano) con terrazza sulla vecchia Roma sarà sempre aperto e disponibile a riospitare voi ed i vostri amici in qualsiasi momento ed occasione.

Gentile Elio, Le vorrei spiegare che il mio B&B, da sempre, offre una stanza con il bagno interno. All'interno ci sono dei servizi come l'aria condizionata, il wifi gratuito, i vetri doppi per un piacevole silenzio. La colazione invece viene servita a volte sul mio terrazzo privato, a volte all'interno della mia casa, a volte al bar davanti casa. Dipende dal tempo e dalla mia disponibilità. È scritto ovunque che la terrazza è privata e non è del B&B. Sono dispiaciuto per la sua delusione, ma in mia assenza anche per motivi di sicurezza, oltre che di privacy, non concedo l'uso libero della mia casa, altrimenti gestivo un altro tipo di struttura. My cousin and I had the opportunity to stay at this wonderful place, located in Borgo Vittorio, this Sunday. I was impressed by the friendliness of the very kind host, Lauro.
A better welcome could not have been: he was hospitable and warm from our arrival until we left the room, and he provided us with all the possible information to move around, in addition to the very kind favor of keeping our luggage in the structure for hours even after our check out.
Furthermore, we found the room and bathroom very clean, in excellent condition.
On Monday morning, breakfast was served on the wonderful terrace, in the company of the owner with whom we had the pleasure of chatting.
Great value for money. Located in a fantastic area, very close to Castel Sant'Angelo, Trastevere, and all the most beautiful areas of Rome.

Horrible. Beware.\n\nAs indicated, this is just someone renting out their spare room for cash only. The room, which was probably nice at one time, was very dirty: - layers of dust, the bed dirty and stained, and it had a strong stale smell. We thought stale cigarettes but the owner insisted otherwise, could have been damp/mold. The Wifi didn't work. There's no TV. The bathroom dirty and old. The owner asks for a 100 euro cash deposit for one key not advertised. The location is good.\n\nRegarding the owner's claim that his motivation for undertaking this activity was because "I enjoy meeting people from different countries and cultures etc etc"... He wasn't there to greet us and arrived 7 hours later around 9 pm. When we explained it was awful and asked for our money back, even offering to pay for one night, he flatly refused. After the police got involved, we left paying for two nights 50:50.\n\nThere are hotels and suites available in the immediate area at similar prices that are infinitely better.\n\nBEWARE: - People often leave bad reviews after a bad experience. Perhaps we were just unlucky. Book here if you wish. But DO NOT HAND OVER CASH until you are happy with its condition. Once you do, he works on a possession is 99% of ownership basis.. I have been managing my B&B for many years and I am grateful to the guests for the many positive comments received and also for the criticisms, useful to improve it and make it more and more welcoming. To the gentlemen. I didn't like my house, well it can happen! Faced with a very respectable opinion I would not have replied, but I find it necessary to deny some of the inaccuracies expressed: 1) I am not an improvised landlord, but the owner of a historic B&B in Rome, with a regular license and regional identification code; 2) The very dirt found in the room consisted only of a layer of dust on the chandelier, for which I apologize, alerting the staff in charge of cleaning to greater accuracy; 3) The bathroom is not old, it was built new only 3 years ago, and the floor is of the time, it is a Carthusian of the 30s that, because consumed, even when clean, does not appear shiny and perfect; 4) There is NO TV and there has never been a specific personal choice 5) NO smoking and never smoked in my house (I am not a smoker first), 6) Upon delivery of the keys, a document or a deposit of 100 euros must be left to guarantee the keys (in the total choice and discretion of the guest) to be returned upon check out, and all this is expressly indicated on the website of the b & b; 7) It is not always me personally taking care of the check-ins, because I happen to have work commitments. I am a theater director and it happens sometimes to be in the theater to work, but this has nothing to do with my pleasure of meeting people, which I confirm and endorse; 8) The "failure to return the money" refers to the "cancellation policy" adopted for my structure, duly indicated on the portal used for the booking. The gentlemen, in the hope of having recognized their "alleged" rights, considered it appropriate to involve the Police (never happened in 20 years!), However, the intervened agents, having ascertained the groundlessness of the guests' claims, could not do anything. Therefore, between the start of a judicial procedure and that of a conciliatory solution, I preferred to undertake the second. Thank you for your attention and your patience!

Lauro is a very good host, friendly and willing to help us with anything we needed. The room is very comfortable and all the necessary facilities are provided. The house is next to the Vatican and really close to the city centre. The breakfast was very good to start our day. The price is really worth it for what is offered. Totally recommended!

The wonderful place for staying in Rome. The location is perfect, only 5/10 minutes walking distance to all historical places. The room and bathroom are very clean (cleaned every day). The breakfast is good (Italian style). The area is safe and calm. Nearby there are plenty of restaurants, shops, and markets. The building is very beautiful. The host is very hospitable. I strongly recommend this apartment.

Beautiful stay at Lauro's in Rome. We spent 4 unforgettable days in Rome. The location of the B&B is unique: you can reach all the main attractions on foot, and at the same time, the room is very quiet. Lauro was always available with advice and tips and was a nice and interesting conversationalist. Absolutely recommended.
