A big dormer-window and its light, trusses, beams, wrought iron, an ox-eye window, exposed bricks, Venetian marble… three bedrooms overlooking a central room.

Al Pozzo di Luce is an intimate and refined B&B situated a few steps away from Fondamente Nove, one of the most distinctive and authentic areas of Venice.

Accurate restoration works, that recently came to an end, have made this habitation a modern, comfortable, functional and simple place, equipped with all comforts a traveller could possibly wish.

Restored with passion and enthusiasm, respecting its original structure, Al Pozzo di Luce combines elements of the Venetian tradition with modernity.

It hosts a few objects that have been recovered inside the old building and that find in the restored building a new life, as well as others which have been created on purpose by Venetian artists.

Al Pozzo di Luce is an ideal place for a romantic, pleasure or business trip.

Situated in a strategic and quiet position, a few steps away from what was Titian’s atelier, it allows you to reach the train station or the airport within a short time.

In 15 minutes walk you’ll find yourself in the heart of San Marco square or on Rialto bridge; water buses (vaporetti), 2 minutes walking distance, reach the main islands of the lagoon (Murano, Burano, Torcello).

The B&B has a hall for breakfasts and three double bedrooms, each one furnished with private bathroom with shower, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, fridge-bar, strongbox, independent heating and air conditioner.

The owners will be glad to welcome you and provide you with all the relevant advice to make your stay in Venice unique. Upon arrival, you will be given a map of the area around the B&B, where the major sites of interest are indicated: places to visit, shops, supermarkets and best restaurants where to savour the delicious Venetian cuisine.

It is with this aim in view that, coming from different backgrounds and professional experiences, Roberto, Davide, Francesca and Alessandra have given birth to the B&B ‘Al Pozzo di Luce’.

Two genuine Venetians and two Venetians by adoption – a bit dreamers, a bit visionaries – are glad to open you the doors of their home; to guide you, with advices and suggestions, to the discovery of Venice and share with you the excitement to live and visit this magnificent city.

The host Alessandra has created a charming space, well-decorated and appointed rooms, in a peaceful street located very conveniently 3 minutes from Fondamente nuove. Particularly easy for airport transport by water boat. I loved the area as less touristic but still very central. Alessandra was extremely helpful when my arrival flight was so late that a water taxi was necessary. She made the reservation for me during the evening. Highly recommended.

In the heart of Venice, but located in a quiet area, it allows you to savor the most 'real' and authentic rhythm and atmosphere of city life. This was a wonderful home-away-from-home during my stay in Venice. The neighborhood, while a little ways away from the train station, was incredibly lovely and quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of the city center. The views of the islands were gorgeous; Alessandra was incredibly helpful getting me checked in. I'm only sorry I couldn't stay longer! I will definitely be staying here again if I ever make a return trip to Venice.

The property value for money was high. The location was very close to the water (which is quite helpful for direct passage to the airport). We came from Ravenna so there are some hoops to go through to get bags to a boat coming in. But from the airport this is all quite simple. B&B is away from high traffic areas and the bedroom and bath are very good. Host is most accommodating. Thank you. We would stay again.

I stayed at this peaceful Bed and Breakfast for only one night, it is located 10 minutes on foot from San Marco. The structure is new and very clean, we slept really well. The room has everything you need, excellent breakfast and then what can I say about Mrs. Alessandra: very kind and helpful. I highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast.

Brand new and very well located B&B, a stone's throw from Fondamente Nuove which allows you to move to the other islands and connects you to the train station and Piazzale Roma. Alessandra has been a great host, very kind. Varied breakfast tailored to intolerances, in my case gluten-free. The accommodation is clean, the bed very comfortable and the place is quiet. Of the times I have been to Venice, this is the best accommodation, no doubt.

This is such a beautiful B&B, so comfortable and Alessandro is a wonderful host. It's the perfect location for catching the waterbus straight from the Airport (2nd stop) and is only a 10/15-minute walk from St. Mark's and many of the other central sights. I really couldn't fault it and I had an amazing few days here.

We spent two nights in this B&B, which is very nice and well-kept. The rooms are new and very clean. The breakfast is very good. The owner is very kind and helpful. The B&B is in a very convenient location for the vaporetto boats to Murano, Burano, and Torcello. The location is also convenient to quickly reach the area of Fondamenta della Misericordia or Strada Nuova. The area around the B&B is always very quiet and not very touristy. This is definitely a plus for us. If we have the chance, I will certainly return.

B&B in a less touristy area (Fondamente Nuove) but easily accessible (recommended to take the vaporetto from the parking lot of the FS Santa Lucia station), one minute walk away. Very discreet but very efficient Alessandra, who welcomed us and made us feel at home. Recently renovated, with very well-kept details, abundant breakfast, very comfortable bed and well furnished. The B&B is small, 4 rooms but very cozy, in a very quiet area. A less touristy but equally interesting Venice, small alleys and squares unknown to us, equally small restaurants where we ate typical Venetian food. Highly recommended for those who want to 'lose themselves' wandering among the less frequented canals in addition to the wonderful Venice. We will definitely come back.

I really loved staying at B&B Al Pozzo di Luce. The owner, Alessandra, made us feel at home immediately. She arranged to receive our pocket wifi from DHL before our arrival, and also allowed us to check in early, which we were so appreciative of after our long flight. Alessandra gave us many excellent recommendations and even provided us with breakfast to go on the day we left early to catch our train. Thank you so much for the stay! We will recommend you and the B&B to all of our friends coming to Venice!

A wonderful B&B, run by the lovely and welcoming Alessandra. I was alone and felt really at home at B&B Al Pozzo di Luce! I loved the neighborhood, so quiet, close to the Vaporetto stop. My room was lovely, newly renovated, beautiful modern bathroom, very comfortable bed, electric window shutters. I have been to Venice several times. This B&B was way better than the others I stayed in. A different experience.

Al Pozzo di Luce is a wonderful B&B, which we can highly recommend! Alessandra and Francesca are two marvelous hosts, communication went smoothly and without any problems, both were absolutely kind and made our stay just perfect. The house was newly reconstructed, the furnishings are new and of high quality. We found it modern but still cozy. The room and the bathroom were cleaned every day, we felt like staying in a 5* hotel. It is perfectly located 1 min from Fondamente Nove. From there it is only 10 min to The Rialto Bridge, or 17 min to Piazza San Marco. In the Cannaregio district you will find quiet streets, nearly no tourists, but a bunch of wonderful restaurants and hidden sights. Our final thoughts: we will come back soon.
