Welcome to Caruso Ortigia Apartments, located in Ortigia, a short distance from important attractions such as the Temple of Apollo, the old Market of Ortigia, and the sea. We are situated in a charming historic building dating back to the early 20th century, in the characteristic Graziella neighborhood. This area, named in honor of Madonna delle Grazie, is an ancient fishing quarter that has preserved its charm, with its narrow streets and courtyards forming a fascinating labyrinth. This place was spared from the demolitions of the fascist era and still retains its original Arab urban structure, which helps to mitigate the heat and winds.
The surroundings offer numerous opportunities for our guests: shopping, the chance to discover and purchase local artisanal products, tasting local specialties through food and wine itineraries, participating in cultural events and exhibitions, and taking long walks to admire the wonderful gardens and landscapes of the area. Near our property, you can find examples of our heritage and various tourist attractions.
Our apartments are perfect for groups of travelers, families, couples, or solo travelers. Caruso Ortigia Apartments offers elegant apartments with independent entrance and private bathroom, equipped with a self-catering and fully equipped kitchen, flat-screen TV, air conditioning, and free fiber optic WiFi connection. If you choose to stay in our centrally located apartments, you will be immediately immersed in the lively island of Ortigia, just a few steps from the Temple of Apollo, the characteristic fish and local produce market, the Cathedral of Santa Lucia, the Aretusa fountain and the sea. Walking through the picturesque alleys of Ortigia, you will have the opportunity to taste typical Sicilian cuisine and pastry and browse through the colorful ceramic shops.
Not only Ortigia, but also the Greek Theater is easily reachable and, if you love nature and the sea, you can discover the wonderful fine sandy beaches of Avola, San Lorenzo di Noto, Fontane Bianche and Calamosche, as well as the Vendicari nature reserve.
Syracuse is also the ideal starting point for visiting nearby Noto and its extraordinary Baroque, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and all of eastern Sicily, from the fascinating Catania, to the elegant Taormina and the Etna Park, the highest volcano in Europe.

The host proved to be a very kind person. We parked at Talete parking and since it is not easily reachable as it is located inside Ortigia, he sent a person to pick us up. Very pleasant room located on the first floor which is accessed by a quite steep staircase. The structure is complete with a kitchen area (which we did not use) and a bathroom with a shower area whose access is a bit tight. The only suggestion would be to recommend the arrangement of the main entrance lock for which we had some difficulty in accessing. Overall, a structure to recommend.
