The terraces of Serranova were born from revisiting a farmhouse built on three hectares of olive groves and open fields, in one of the most suggestive places of the Torre Guaceto area, the last rocks of the Murge area, absorbed by the scent of lavender and wild fennel.
Our terraces dominate, caressed by the wind, the seaside of Torre Guaceto and the olive trees, the faithful guardians of our history which will whisper to you about seasons and the time passing by.
The interiors present classic mediterran elements: tuff stone, wood, stone floors, suggestions of the sea and of farmers life. The rooms are colored light lilla, light blue, ocher and green with a special attention to the detail, simple but with a lot of care.

The double rooms for non smokers has private bathrooms, air condition and a different sizes of private terrace with view on the sea and olive groves set up with a small table and sittings.

Every day different, never obvious, with the products prepared by Maria, all strictly "home-made".
Here the diets are banned: almond pastries, croissants, panbrioche with mother yeast, burnt wheat friselline, shortbread biscuits, mostazzueli, castagnole, pulaneti, staples, zeppoloni, crumbled but also mozzarella and salami for the lovers of salty, composed of fruit, herbal teas, coffee and of course our oil, in the most country chic atmosphere of Torre Guaceto.

It all began when we fell in love with these countryside landscapes. Over time, friends have found refuge in our home, and the world that entered our daily lives has awakened our sense of hospitality. Don't expect a hotel or a resort, because we are not that, so don't ask us and don't expect what we are not. So, here we are, Maria and Ferruccio.

Strategic location to reach the places of sea view and art cities.
Our room had a magnificent terrace with a breathtaking view of the sea and olive grove. The breakfast was superb for the manufacture of all homemade sweets and for the variety every morning. Rarely have I eaten homemade pasticciotti and almond pastries for breakfast. It's a pity that some guests turned out to be rude in taking too much for breakfast but this is not attributable to the managers. We didn't take the savory part as Maria made omelettes and crepes, cold cuts and cheeses on request every day.
The farmhouse has an orchard from which jams and extra virgin olive oil are made available every day. The infinity pool overlooking the olive grove and we really appreciated the complimentary towel service.
The kindness of the owners in welcoming you and giving you fantastic advice on the area. What can I say?
Thank you for the unforgettable vacation you have made. We will definitely come back.

Le note positive sono la location, la pulizia delle camere e la disponibilità della signora Maria però purtroppo ci sono diverse cose da segnalare. Le camere sono quasi tutte confortevoli ma poco funzionali e una troppo angusta per due persone per un soggiorno di più giorni, ma ci si adatta. La peggior delusione è stata la colazione: si poteva usufruire di uno spazio angusto (certo c’era una terrazza ma tra il vento e il sole non era sempre usufruibile) con a disposizione un tostapane, una brocca da litro di spremuta del latte, due torte, due brioches (saltuariamente), qualche dolcetto, poca frutta, niente di salato se non due uova sode, dei pomodorini e una focaccia (due in 10 gg). Con la struttura al completo cioè 10/12 persone mi sembra quantomeno poco. Vero è che la signora ci aveva esortato a chiedere in caso di necessità ma ritengo che non si debba mettere il cliente in condizione di chiedere pane, succo, acqua, caffè o cose che normalmente dovrebbero essere state messe a disposizione. Quindi il rapporto qualità/quantità/prezzo è da rivedere. Vorrei precisare che siamo soliti trascorrere le vacanze estive in B&B perché è una formula che ci ha sempre soddisfatti, questa volta siamo rimasti delusi, peccato perché il posto avrebbe davvero un grosso potenziale (suggerirei per esempio di sfruttare per le colazioni la struttura a vetri in giardino e magari un aiuto a gestirle). Non è una bocciatura la mia, spero che dalle critiche i gestori possano trovare spunti interessanti per apportare alcune necessarie migliorie. Quindi spero sia un arrivederci.

A fronte di fallaci circostanze riferite, ci vediamo costretti a contestare tali gratuità. Giova precisare come già all’arrivo, alcuno di costoro (era un gruppo) si sia degnato di rispondere “Buongiorno” al nostro buongiorno e benvenuto, serbando per tutto il soggiorno, un atteggiamento di distacco e maleducazione. Al momento della prenotazione spieghiamo le caratteristiche di ogni camera in modo che l’ospite effettui la sua scelta in modo consapevole, sicchè se si sceglie la camera più piccola per il prezzo è fuori luogo lamentarsi dopo. Omette di riferire la signora che appena arrivati i signori pretendevano il cambio giornaliero di tutta la biancheria della camera, tripli cuscini da posizionare sotto le gambe, discutendo anche dell’altezza del cuscino se sotto 20 cm o superiore a 30 cm. Omette di riferire la signora che al mattino occupavano l’intera sala o la terrazza (luogo aperto a tutti) formando tavolate ostruendo il passaggio degli altri ospiti verso i tavoli e verso il buffet. Più volte abbiamo dovuto redarguirli per il tono di voce utilizzato e per utilizzare il cellulare in sala colazione in vivavoce disturbando altri ospiti. La colazione che inizia alle 8,15 è a buffet, quella salata è su richiesta; omelette, salumi e crepes sono preparati al momento sinonimo di freschezza e lotta allo spreco con tre persone a disposizione. Quando sono stati richieste omelette e piatti salati sono stati preparati. Omette di riferire la signora che il gruppo si alzava alle 7,45 ed il cibo veniva (cornetti, muffin, pane, frutta) asportato per essere portato via, cosa assolutamente vietata. Le brocche di acqua e di succo presenti al buffet venivano utilizzate per uso personale, privandone gli altri commensali. Riscontrato tale costume abbiamo dovuto fare altrimenti perché tutti potessero fare colazione. Omette di riferire la signora che nelle camere venivano inserite tessere sostitutive di quelle di accesso per mantenere accesa l’aria condizionata dal mattino alla sera, pur non essendoci nessuno in camera. E ogni mattina gli incontri non prevedevano mai un Buongiorno, un grazie o un prego, una chiacchiera e così sino alla partenza. Un soggiorno sgradevole per tutti. Di fatto non hanno mai partecipato alla vita di masseria; ad una cena, agli eventi, agli aperitivi. L’agriturismo (non siamo un B&B) non è un albergo di 500 camere dove nessuno conosce nessuno o una bara dove si è soli. La bellezza di un un agriturismo familiare, nel rispetto dei diritti degli altri e della buona educazione è anche la possibilità di conoscersi o condividere le storie di questi luoghi. Abbiamo compreso e verificato, la ragione per cui non sono ritornati a soggiornare nello stesso luogo.

Posizione baricentrica tra mare e paesi limitrofi. Tre delle 5 camere hanno una vista bellissima fino al mare, sull'Oasi di Torre Guaceto.
Colazioni strepitose ben oltre il voto espresso. Gestori cordialissimi. Non ho dato il massimo dei voti solo perché la 'perfezione' non esiste.

Una bellissima esperienza: gentilezza dei gestori, posizione magnifica, colazioni buonissime, appena arrivata mi sono sentita subito a casa.
La posizione poi è strategica, nel giro di 60 km si ha la possibilità di visitare quasi tutto il centro sud della Puglia.
