Hugging the cliff walls on the edge of Orvieto's old town, Ripa Medici, takes the concept of "room with a view" to a Whole new level, gazing longingly out across undulating counryside.

The rooms have been given a pinch of romance, with antique furnishings dating back to 1800, while the beamed apartment offers even more space and a kitchen.

This was my second place to stay in Italy and I absolutely loved it! The view from outside the room is stunningly gorgeous! And I loved that it was not in the busy area of town so it seemed quieter. Everything was clean and so darn cute. The hostess checked in with me several times and seemed very kind and attentive. Would definitely stay here again.

The bedroom and bathroom were both spacious. The building is just above the outer walls of Orvieto, so we had a terrific view of the countryside. The host very generously left us some cantucci and a cold bottle of Orvieto white wine. Highly recommended!

This was an awesome find to stop along the way on our travels from Bologna to Positano. Great location, beautiful unique Italian town on a mountain top. Wish we could have stayed another night. Everything we well organized and Sabrina was fantastic!

I would rate higher this property and its lovely proprietor Sabrina absolutely exceeded our expectations. I only wish we could have stayed longer!

Sabrina is the best host - warm, efficient, and very helpful. She gave us great recommendations and even helped us get to the train station in the morning as the taxis are precious few. The room was very comfortable with a/c and even a washer, which was good timing for us. Sabrina gave us a drying rack. The view is spectacular and the location an easy walk to the center. I can't say enough nice things about the whole experience.

If we could give this lovely suite a 20/10 we would! Sabrina was such a gracious host who has truly thought of everything to help make the suite such a special place! It’s spotlessly clean, with the most gorgeous views of the hillside and decorated with so many special touches. Sabrina left a bottle of wine and delicious cake in the fridge to enjoy, extra touches in special toiletries, lovely linen towels, and even left a beautiful bouquet of lavender and hydrangea on the antique table one morning! The bed was so comfortable. The location is so central yet quiet as well. We can’t give this accommodation enough praise and will certainly recommend it to our friends and family. I can't say enough good things about this property! Not only was it charming and impeccably clean, it was a lovely location near the town center with an amazing view and very peaceful. Sabina, our host, was so helpful and a pleasure to work with. We were greeted with wine and treats and loved our stay. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our time in Orvieto and Sabina kindly worked with us to allow us to stay longer. I hope to return to Orvieto and without a doubt would book with Ripa Medici again. Don't hesitate to book this property - you'll love it.

Absolutely stunning property. Besides the unbeatable view, the apartment is charmingly decorated, and has plenty of space for everything you need. Very well located on the edge of town and everything is walkable. Sabrina was great to deal with, friendly, and very responsive. Highly recommend staying at this beautiful apartment in Orvieto.

A most perfect stay! Impeccably clean and wonderfully decorated. But the best part of the stay was the hospitality of the hostess. A bargain at twice the price!

This is a very nice place, wish we could have stayed longer. Parking was a bit tricky, roads are very narrow around the location. But once we were shown the lower parking area, which has an elevator right up to the B&B location, it was great.

We enjoyed a beautifully renovated, spacious suite with views overlooking the spectacular countryside. This very romantic B&B in the historic center is world class, just wonderful in every way. Sabrina, the friendly and helpful owner, welcomes you and facilitates free parking at the lot below the walls that is easily accessible to the B&B via an escalator. Wish they served breakfast, but coffee and pastries are easily available at cafes nearby.

Great place to stay. Walking distance to a variety of restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops. The hosts were amazing. They booked for us, advised us where to go, and even gave us a ride to the station the next morning. They made sure we had everything we needed. They exceeded expectations!

Loved this apartment, it is exactly as in the photos. We were very comfortable and the host was extremely helpful and responsive and very available. Completely recommend staying. Close to everything and an easy walk for shopping, coffee, and restaurants. The views right outside the door are breathtaking.

Sabrina was a perfect host, the room is in a great location with a spectacular view, very clean and spacious. Too bad for the lack of breakfast options but there are plenty of bars around. Perfect stay!

Great Bed and Breakfast in a strategic position close to the center but in a quiet location and with the convenience of a covered parking included in the price, easily accessible by elevator. Clean and welcoming structure. Highly recommended.

Returning from Calabria after the holidays, we decided to make a stop halfway through the journey, having a 4-month-old baby on board. Right from the start, Sabrina, the owner and manager of the B&B, was kind and helpful, waiting for our expected arrival at 9:00 PM. She met us before the limited traffic zone started and together with Marco, they guided us step by step to both the parking lot and the room. The latter also pleasantly impressed us for the cleanliness and attention to detail. Simple, but functional and especially well positioned relative to the town center. Breakfast was not included, but Sabrina was so kind to offer it to us. Unfortunately, we saw little of Orvieto because with such a small baby it's a bit difficult to visit, so we will definitely return and certainly stay again at Ripa Medici. We recommend it.

We had a wonderful apartment with fantastic views over the Umbrian countryside. The bedroom was large and airy, and it was nice to have a separate living area in case one of us wanted to stay up later. It was furnished very nicely and the kitchen was well supplied even though we didn't cook. The location is excellent with close access to the parking lot and a short walk to the main shopping street., as well as an excellent restaurant at the small square at the end of vicolo Ripa Medici. And, Sabrina, our host. She is a delightful, friendly woman. She is so nice and eager to help. She gave us a number of recommendations for breakfast and dinner, as well as what to see. She responded to any communications before we arrived and after our arrival. Thank you, Sabrina, for making us feel so welcome. I would definitely recommend Ripa Medici to anyone planning to visit Orvieto. Should we ever come to Orvieto again, we would stay at this lovely location.

Muchas cosas hacen que este B&B sea muy especial, por supuesto su limpieza, sus detalles, su ubicación su comodidad pero hay 2 que sobresalen y son su propietaria Sabrina siempre amable dispuesta a ayudar y la otra es la ventana de la habitación. Vaya vistas! Solo por esa ventana y esas vistas ya valdría la pena una estancia. Abrirla y contemplar El Valle hizo que pasara mucho tiempo sentado contemplando tanta belleza. We stayed in the apartment with a small kitchenette, dining table, living room with couch and bedroom plus bathroom. The apartment was perfect for two days on our honeymoon. The decor reminded me of an Italian fairytale and the views were dreamy! We loved walking to dinner just down the street. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very Clean, good size, comfortable bed, control your own heat, perfect location. Sabrina was very easy to communicate with and gave helpful tips and recommendations. We hope to be back! Thank you!

Sabrina is a really nice, caring host who offered us to stay in her lovely apartment for one night during our road trip to Orvieto. She put lots of thoughts into the place and made it very comfortable for us. The location is also a plus, as it is close (5-10mins walking) to all the major sites and restaurants, and has a great view in door front which you would enjoy for sure!
