Description
Situated in a scenic area and recently renovated, this house welcomes guests into an environment with genuine charm, furnished with solid wood furniture crafted by an old master carpenter, including some antique pieces. The striking wooden beams and elegant wrought iron accents, made by local artisans, add character to both the indoor and outdoor spaces.
The house features a double bedroom, a small bedroom, a bathroom with a washing machine, and a spacious living room with a kitchenette. The fireplace, with firewood always available in the nearby storage area on the terrace, creates a cozy atmosphere during the colder seasons.
Outside, the large exclusive terrace of 32 square meters serves as a relaxing spot, furnished with a table, chairs, and a wooden swing, enclosed by walls, hedges, and a railing with a gate. A pergola provides shade and privacy, making it an ideal space for outdoor meals and peaceful moments.
The covered private parking is a major advantage, especially considering the limited availability of parking in the nearby historic center of Orvieto, where most parking is paid and accessible via narrow streets.
Guests can rely on the unobtrusive presence of the owners, who are always available for advice and tourist information without intruding on privacy. The price is particularly competitive and includes all utilities, as well as bed linens and a set of three towels per person, with a weekly change.
Pets are welcome, thanks to the durability of the solid wood furnishings designed to withstand wear over time. Complimentary ADSL internet access is available for guests, along with a selection of books and informational materials to help explore the area.

I am a clerk, with a passion for art, crafts and local history. Married and with a daughter, dress always in Orvieto and always in this area. I devote myself always in your free time to the restoration and enhancement of a small family and cultural heritage.
My family bought this house in 1920.
The properties in this area have been handed down from generation to generation. By the early '20s they were rebuilt the first settlements using the ancient tuff coming from ancient villages of' Subripa ' (under the cliff), historically present in the Middle Ages and then destroyed in later centuries. The oldest part of it is the old carpentry of my ancestors. Even today it is a laboratory where furniture restoring and reconstructing using antique wood.
What makes this house unique?
Everything is decorated with antiques or crafts pieces. Outside and inside are wood, ceramics, wrought iron, stone. Everything, from the Etruscans to the present day, talking about history and art. We are near the Porta Maggiore dominated by a statue of Pope Boniface VIII and the crenellated medieval walls. A 3-minute walk you can find elevators and escalators for the historic center. Next opens a superb view over the valley.

Casa Serafina as a “typical product” of the Orvieto area.
This was our inspiration when we began to offer weekly rentals of the house belonging to the “old carpenters.”
Those who envisioned, created, and lived in these spaces utilized the solid chestnut wood from our forests. They crafted, carved, and polished it with wax, relying on artisans who have nearly vanished today.
The house is adorned with wrought iron finishes from equally imaginative artisans, deeply connected to the region.
Artistic ceramics, inspired by the past and always handcrafted, add a vibrant touch of color.
We opted for only minimal adjustments, aiming to share with you the joy of a unique artistic craftsmanship, thus creating an “added value” in terms of comfort, location, views, and hospitality. It represents a genuine snapshot of life and family within the equally authentic context of Orvieto.
We are just a 3-minute walk from the elevators and escalators leading to the Historic Center. It takes about 10 minutes on foot to reach the Piazza del Comune and 20 minutes to get to the Cathedral.
We are located 3 km by car from the train station and the motorway exit.
The beautiful Lake Bolsena is a 20-minute drive away.
