Around the Malaspina Castle of Tresana you will find a green and uncontaminated landscape: the Osca torrent which originates from mount Cornoviglio and flows into the Magra river, its valley, rich in chestnut and turkey oak woods, where mushrooms are gathered in autumn, the green hills facing south where vines, olive trees and fruit trees grow and on the horizon the magnificent chain of the Apuan Alps. The Castle is located in this paradise, which is Lunigiana. But Lunigiana is not only castles, churches and villages, it is also sea. Less than an hour’s drive from the castle are the Portovenere and Cinque Terre beaches and the beaches of Forte dei Marmi, Marina di Massa and Viareggio on the Tyrrhenian coast.
