Description
Al Mercato B&B is located in the historic center of Siena, just a few steps from Piazza del Campo and the Duomo, in an ancient palace of the XIIth century. The couple Fabio and Carla have personally followed the restoration of the residence (2008-2009), executed with the total respect of the original structural features of the ancient palace.
In the rooms, equipped with private bathroom with shower, you will also find the air conditioning and the free Wi-Fi. The windows open onto the picturesque Piazza del Mercato with a beautiful view of the Palazzo Pubblico and the Torre del Mangia.
At our restaurant "La Finestra" in the Piazza del Mercato, you will find a typical Sienese menu at a special price. Possibility of half or full board.
You can choose between a Public Garage 4 minutes walking or the Car Vallet Service for the cost of 25€ for 24 hours.

Fabio and Carla, together, personally oversaw the renovation process of the B&B and the restaurant, ensuring complete preservation of the original features of the ancient palace. At our restaurant, named La Finestra, you can indulge in authentic Tuscan and Sienese cuisine, with the entrance and veranda overlooking the historic Market Square. We have special options available to book half-board or full-board at an affordable price.

Structure located very close to Piazza del Campo, rooms not furnished with current standards but still decent and in line with the context, not suitable for long stays but perfect for one or two nights. Parking cost should be taken into account, which with the hotel agreement is € 25.00 per day.

Cute, clean and quiet hotel. Large room, beautiful view of the Market square. Kind but not intrusive welcome. Poor breakfast, no fresh fruit, no wholemeal bread, long-life milk... in short, it would take very little to make it excellent! I think of returning to this structure.

The structure has an enviable location, in the center of Siena and just behind Piazza del Campo. This is its best feature. The single room was small and not very bright, but it had everything needed for a short stay. The breakfast is a bit sparse but the staff is very kind and prepared.

We enjoyed our stay in Siena at the Al Mercato B&B. The room was very clean and spacious. Our first night, the piazza behind the room and right above a restaurant was very loud even at 2 a.m. Two suggestions: make clear arrangements before arriving of where to go to receive a key if the property manager is not on site. We could not understand the speaker at the door, nor could the passerby who spoke Italian. This would have made it much easier to check-in. Also, just a suggestion to add some fruit to breakfast. Thank you.

We stayed at Al Mercato B&B for two nights and we had a great time. The location is really excellent, in the city center. In the evening, being the structure overlooking a square, you can hear some noises that however then end and allow a good rest. Good and plentiful breakfast. The welcome is also very good!

Excellent location, behind the most important square in Siena and overlooking the market square. The only downside is that the structure is old and has not been recently renovated. Spacious double room with a very small bathroom.
