Description

Beside the little enchantable Lagna’s wharf is Casa Brioschi, from which you can see one of the most evocative views of the lake and where, since 1991, each summer takes place "La Finestra sul Lago", a summer festival of arts, music and theater.

For centuries the entrance of Casa Brioschi has been occupied by the Osteria di San Giulio.

In the garden, close to 6. 000 mq, you'll find a great vegetation variety: high Japanese cypresses, once very common in the villas around the lake, a mediterranean pine, here grown in spite of lake climate, chestnuts, apple trees, a little vineyard, a very old rose-garden, hydrangeas, camellias and interesting Japanese anemones.

The Osteria di San Giulio, offers a warm, familiar, romantic and evocative atmosphere, the perfect place for studying, meditation, rest and love.

The ancient rooms are filled for the most with the original fornitures. The wide garden directly opens on the clean waters of the lake, where bathing is a real pleasure, and offers one of the most beautiful panoramas of the region. Dozens of fascinating corners all around, away from traffic, for unforgettable walks in a fantastic landscape.

Your hosts we'll be happy to suggest you tours and visits to artistic sites, guiding you at the discovery of this region, of its history and its culture.

The ground floor of the rustic wing is for reception and activities, the first floor is for the night.

Entering the main door, on your right yoùll find the reception, while on your left, under the arcade, is the Osteria's kitchen, a living room and and the biblioteque.

The inner stairs lead to the first floor where you'll find the camera Magnolia with 2 beds and the camera Ortensia with 2 beds. Each room has his private bathroom.

The balcony leads to the Camelias suite: 2 rooms, Camelia Bianca with a double-bed, Camelia Rossa with 2 beds, a little living room and the bathroom.

This is a delightful Bed & Breakfast, very unspoilt and authentic. It’s immaculately clean and Giovanni, the host, produces a delicious breakfast and could not be more helpful. The garden leads down to the lakeside from where there are beautiful views up Lake Orta and from where you can swim in the clear, clean waters. It’s a magical spot. The restaurants in Pella, when we were there anyway, were a bit restrictive. Perhaps there’s more on offer in high summer.

Lovely place inside a courtyard, feels like going back in time. Very clean and a short distance from Pella where you can easily get there with a walk. Very kind staff and available for every need. We will definitely come back!

In the midst of the ortan nature and its picturesque lake we came across an excellent structure from the past century with a remarkable ethnographic apparatus with truly ad hoc design combinations welcoming the munificent host super abundant breakfast and meticulous cleaning care definitely excellent experience of peace and meditation.

I stayed over the weekend and I was extremely happy to have done so. The welcome was wonderful, we couldn't have asked for more. Our dogs were also welcome. There is a beautiful park. We will definitely come back in spring when we can also enjoy direct access to the lake. The breakfast was very abundant and of high quality. The bed was very comfortable and the structure welcoming.

The Osteria di San Giulio is located directly on the beautiful Lake Orta. There is a large garden with direct access to the lake. It is wonderfully quiet and secluded. The owners are very kind and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent! We were completely satisfied! Thank you for the lovely days.

I thank Andrea and Margherita for their availability and kindness. The structure is magnificent, furnished in a particular way and lacks no comfort. About 5 minutes from the lake, surrounded by greenery and tranquility. Rich and varied breakfast, both sweet and savory. I would suggest placing a television in the living room (I didn't notice if there was one or not), in order to pass the time on rainy days, like these days. Otherwise everything perfect! If I return in the future, I will not fail to stay there. Chiara.

Das war ein rundum gelungener Urlaub!Solch nette Gastgeber hat man selten. Die Unterkunft war traumhaft, tolle Aussicht, super Lage und viele süße Tiere! Wenn man keine Hunde oder Katzen mag ist man dort falsch. Ansonsten die richtige Adresse um entspannt Urlaub zu machen.

Abbiamo trascorso insieme alle nostre due cagnoline jack russell, Alafa e Ariel, un piacevole periodo di vacanza ad agosto 2015: pace, cortesia dei gestori, panorami splendidi, sono indimenticabili. Finalmente qualcosa che ha fatto bene al corpo e alla mente. Grazie Osteria San Giulio!

A wonderful location, nice rooms and a tasty breakfast. The owners were very nice until the last day. My friend and I had requested for the mattresses to be placed on the ground because neither of us fit in the beds (Dutch and Germans are not the same height as the Italians). The owners were kind enough to remove the bed frames and tuck them on the side of the room. We were grateful for the extra space and thanked them. However, on the last morning before breakfast was served, the owner was clearly very upset and added 50 euros (50 whole euros) to the bill! She was upset about the fact that the mattresses had to be placed on the ground. She told us that this was a bed and breakfast and not a camping ground. I was shocked at the price and also very disappointed in her mannerism. She does not speak English and I do not speak Italian. I tried communicating with her in French, but she was very upset and barely communicated. All of this was conducted before 8 am on our final day. We enjoyed our stay until the last day and were disappointed in the customer service. It left a very sour taste in our mouths.

Aggiungo alla precisazione alcuni elementi: senza autorizzazione è stata utilizzata la cucina per prepararsi la colazione quando sarebbe bastato comunicare l'orario e si sarebbe provveduto. Senza autorizzazione sono state utilizzate le canoe del vicino di casa che ovviamente si è lamentato e ha fatto pagare il servizio. Non è stata comunicata l'intolleranza al glutine e al latte e pertanto il primo giorno non è stato possibile servire una colazione adatta che invece è stata servita dal secondo giorno. Quindi prima di dare la valutazione "2" al gestore occorre valutare sé stessi. Il gap linguistico si può superare con uno sforzo reciproco e nel nostro caso, se uno dei gestori non parla lingue straniere l'altro non ha alcun problema pertanto era sufficente chiedere e avremmo risposto adeguatamente. Una precisazione: i 50 euro richiesti come sovrapprezzo per la risistemazione della stanza e la pulizia dei materassi non sono stati riscossi. La nostra disponibilità è stata totale ma tengo a precisare che non ci è stato chiesto di trovare una soluzione alternativa ma sono stati messi i materassi per terra senza autorizzazione. Se un ospite ha delle esigenze particolari dovrebbe segnalarle in maniera da consentire al gestore di trovare una soluzione prima oppure di indirizzare ad un'altra struttura più idonea. Nei B&B ci sono delle regole da rispettare perché non si è né a casa propria né in un campeggio dove non c'è un contatto quotidiano con i gestori, ma in una casa privata che si apre all'ospitalità. Se si chiede cortesemente si ottiene cortesia, se ci si comporta in maniera troppo "indipendente e invadente" si rischia di irritare i proprietari. Spero che possiate capire e modificare i vostri atteggiamenti cercando soluzioni più adatte alle vostre esigenze.

Ein sehr sauberes B&B, mit freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Gastgebern, umfangreichem Frühstück, in dem der Geist des alten bürgerlichen Italiens lebt. Was will man mehr? Einen Park mit Privatstrand am See, tollem Blick, Liegestühlen und klares Wasser? Ebenfalls vorhanden! Wenn wir wieder einmal Urlaub am Ortasee machen (ideal zum Wandern UND Baden), dann hier. Dom and Lydia are the perfect hosts. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the breakfast fantastic, with homemade marmalade and local cheese and ham. The area is very quiet and the beautiful garden invites you to relax by the lakeside. Thank you for the warm welcome and the interesting conversations and last not least, for finding us a safe spot for our classic car. We will be back!

Tutto spettacolare, peccato però che l'impianto di riscaldamento non sia proprio adeguato alla struttura, abbiamo patito il freddo. Spero proprio si possa migliorare questo problema.
