“La Ca' Vecchia B&B” (the old house).
La Ca' Vecchia B&B is a country house which was the first inhabited nucleus of Rea, a small village in the area called Oltrepò Pavese (beyond the river Po), 15 Km from Pavia.
It is placed on the right side of the river, at the end of the river Ticino Park, along the Via Francigena and the Way of Salt. Quite near the hills of Casteggio, a morainic amphitheater, are a great local attraction because of their natural, historical and cultural value.
The rooms
Silent and confortable rooms with private bathroom, one is also suitable for disable people.
A garden with trees and flowers where you can relax and a small chapel where you can admire a sculpture by Pino Baù.
We offer: B&B, ½ pension, high quality food (our motto is high quality in tradition), rent bike.

La Ca' Vecchia is a very nice and charming old farm in the outer circle of the small village of Rea. Not the easiest to find, but really worth looking for and finally finding.
The hospitality and personal service as well as the quality of the rooms, are on the same level as Tina’s cooking and kindness. Just fantastic and excellent! Home made Italian food, made with love and local ingredients together with local wines, in this atmosphere, make you very close to heaven. This little village close to the river Po, is a quiet place with cool and nice citizens, out on the country side. It’s also a perfect distance to cities, other villages, wine district, old castles and much more interesting to experience in this old province of Pavia. You can spend your whole life travelling around in only this province of Italy, with its fantastic old and important history, without manage to see it all. The city of Pavia and La Ca’ Vecchia in Rea are then perfect for a start of the Italian journey of your life.

This B&B is something very particular which is not so easy to find. It's managed by a couple who
speaks English fluently and infact they have guests from all over the world.
This B&B is in a peaceful place which is better to reach renting a car. From there you can visit beautiful sites like Pavia, Milan, Appennini and Langhe.
It's so peaceful you will be waked up by the rooster.
Altough the place is far from the sea dinner will reserve you many surprises: from ravioli filled with beef, to impepata di cozze, from porcini mushrooms, to “saor”, from culatello to genoa rice pie.
Tina (the chef) is very careful about your health and digestion and together with Ferdinando (who is in charge of wines and hams among many other things).
They buy the main ingredients from local suppliers. This improves the genuity of the meals.
Rooms are very comfy and have their own bathroom.

What a super stopover. We stayed 1 night and had a lovely breakfast. So impressed that we arranged to stop again for a lunch on the way back in a weeks time: it was the best meal of the trip! Home cooked Italian. Hope we can visit again!

Sehr nette Gastgeber in charmant restauriertem Bauernhof. Sehr ruhige Lage. Einfache aber schöne Zimmer. Sehr sauber. Die Möglichkeit hervorragend landestypisch zu essen. Beim Frühstück wird auf die individuellen Wünsche der Gäste eingegangen.

Gestione impeccabile, struttura pulita, immersa nella natura anche se ciò comporta la presenza di zanzare (peccato perché la colazione in giardino sarebbe stata un valore aggiunto), distante circa 20 minuti da Pavia.

Io e mio marito abbiamo trascorso un incantevole e rilassante fine settimana. La signora Tina e il marito ci hanno letteralmente coccolato... ci siamo sentiti subito a casa. La cena semplice ma curata in tutti i particolari, gli agnolotti al brasato della signora Tina buonissimi, il tutto accompagnato da vini di qualità consigliati dal signor Ferdinando. Lo consigliamo vivamente!

La signora Tina è stata un'ospite deliziosa, gentile e disponibile. Ci siamo trovati benissimo, la sua struttura è immersa nella campagna, la stanza era arredata con mobili antichi e il letto l'ho trovato comodo. Non c'è la TV, il che per me è un pregio. La domenica la proprietaria ci ha servito un'ottima colazione con dolci fatti in casa e poi abbiamo avuto la possibilità di fare una bella chiacchierata sia con lei che con alcuni suoi parenti che erano venuti a trovarla. Tina è molto affabile e socievole, ed è una vera miniera di informazioni sulla zona. Si ha l'impressione di conoscerla da tanto tempo, penso che torneremo volentieri nella sua struttura. Grazie di tutto, siamo stati benissimo!

La struttura si trova ai margini di un paese piccolissimo a poca distanza dal Po, una casa colonica sapientemente ristrutturata e tranquillissima.
Stanza accoglienti, arredate all'antica e climatizzate.
La proprietaria è persona gentilissima e molto premurosa, la cucina con specialità locali, alcune molto particolari, è ottima e molto varia.

Situato in aperta campagna, quiete notturna totale, auto parcheggiata in zona recintata e chiusa.
Gestori amabilissimi e premurosi, cucina del ristorante di ottimo livello.
Camera e bagno decorosi, puliti e funzionali.
Unico neo (per qualcuno un pregio): manca la tv.

La Ca' Vecchia è una struttura ordinata e pulita con molto spazio nelle camere arredate con gusto.
La colazione è servita nella sala del ristorante che fa parte della struttura e che consiglio caldamente di provare per la qualità e per la particolarità delle pietanze servite.
I proprietari sono gentili e disponibili e con piacere raccontano la storia vissuta del posto permettendo al viaggiatore di capire il presente guardando il passato.
Insomma non cambierei un posto così per nessun hotel impersonale e senza anima.
Ho anche apprezzato moltissimo in sala ristorante l'assenza di TV, generalmente presente e perennemente accesa in molti "non luoghi" di ristoro.

Bella struttura, proprietari simpatici e cordiali.
In assenza di tv in camera, il proprietario ci ha invitato a vedere la partita con lui.
Arrivando di sera e andando via la mattina presto non abbiamo potuto apprezzare la location, ma da quello che abbiamo visto, ci è piaciuta.

I due proprietari sono persone gentilissime e accoglienti, la gestione è familiare e quindi molto semplice ma dispone di tutto il necessario. La nota più positiva è la grande pulizia.
Anche il ristorante, sempre gestito da loro è ottimo, pochi tavoli ma il cibo genuino e casalingo, si assicurano sempre di averne offerto a sufficienza.
Ottimo per un breve soggiorno.
Siamo una coppia giovane e ci siamo trovati benissimo.

Vriendelijke gastvrouw en gastheer. Propere kamer met airco. Hebben ook het avondmaal in het restaurant genuttigd. Prijs/kwaliteit zeker in orde. Ontbijt viel wat tegen-had wat uitgebreider mogen zijn. Enkel wat crostini, geen brood (jes). Gastvrouw had wel een lekkere omeletgemaakt voor ons. Al bij al toch een geslaagd bezoek.
