Il Seicento is a new-concept hostel that offers B&B service, with private rooms and apartments with kitchen, or shared rooms, all en-suite bathroom. In the middle of Valtellina in panoramic setting, located 630 m a. s. l. at Sernio top, 3 kms from Tirano with Bernina Express railway terminus, UNESCO heritage; near Bormio, Aprica, Livigno, St. Moritz (CH), Poschiavo (CH), and famous alpine Passes as Stelvio, Bernina, Mortirolo, Gavia, Tonale.
Il Seicento is a good choice for families who like to stay in a place that makes feel like home; suitable for a relaxing and romantic vacation in a nice setting, or for work and business trips. It is a big stone-built house about 350 years old, well restructured and barrier-free; friendly location for groups of vacationers and sports fans, but even for single travellers spending their time between the Alps, who can reserve a bed in shared room.
All apartments and rooms are big and comfortables, with double or single beds, double sofa-bed or bunk bed; free Wi-Fi and independent heating, linen, towels, hairdryer, shower-foam and soap are included (bed-cot by request on booking). Kitchenettes inside the apartments are equipped with dishes, dishwasher, microwave oven, electric hob, fridge-freezer with minibar.
Continental buffet breakfast is served in the ancient room ‘Sala della Volta’, with local products (gluten-free products on request). At first floor, the big living room ‘Sala Lettura’ with pc internet point, tea corner, maps, brochures, books, and more; the house has little corners for childrens play. Downstairs a little laundry with washing drying machine; the parking is just outside, a nice sunny garden behind the house, and a small soccer field is adjacent, available to play outdoors.
Nearby our Guests will find delicious typical meals, monuments and interesting spots for history vultures, ski resorts, lots of trekking paths, mountain loops for road biking or the cycle path by the river; dirt roads and single-trails for any mtb (xc/am/enduro...).
IlSeicento is bike-friendly and bikehotel: a good breakfast, path maps, and direct indications by the staff, mtb guide for cycle tours available on request, closed bikeroom with tools, water for bicycle cleaning. There is also free bike rental (adult size, non professional mountain bikes). For motorbikes parking, there's a covered closed garage.

The property was very nice and in a charming village. The family room we had was very well appointed with all the comforts of home and very spacious. The property is nicely renovated inside, which belies the historic exterior. The hotel staff was very friendly and made the check-in/check-out process extremely easy. They provided excellent recommendations for things to do and places to go. I would not hesitate to book this place again, in a future trip to the area.

Returning from the fabulous trip on the Bernina, we stayed at the hostel Il Seicento, 2 kilometers from Tirano. The structure is renovated, welcoming and clean. Our apartment with kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom, on the first floor, has a reading room where my son played with the many games available. On the ground floor, there is another area for children. It is possible to park in the garage included in the price. Quality-price ratio is a 10. I recommend it.

If there had been an 11 out of 10 as a possible rating for the quality/price ratio, that would be the correct rating. Courtesy, cleanliness, and even extra spaces beyond the rooms are the plus of this place. Truly highly recommended. We will return! Well done.

Beautiful structure obtained from the renovation of a building from the sixteenth century. Our studio was spacious and equipped with all the necessary things. Although there was a complete kitchenette, we did not use it because we did not need it. It was not easy to organize the moment of breakfast with that of the reception by the manager when the structure is full as there was only one person present. Self check-in with code was very much appreciated for us who arrived at the structure late. Convenient garage adjacent to the structure. Good location to reach the Tirano station (3 km) where the red Bernina trains depart. Good breakfast. Good quality/price ratio. I recommend this structure. Kindness and availability of the managers.

We arrived by bicycle and with two minivans. There was room for all the vehicles. The fast check-in is excellent. The place is enchanting. The rooms and apartments are spacious and clean. The common areas are welcoming, with books and herbal teas available. We really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Seicento the night before taking the Bernina train. The structure is located in a magnificent village and is itself beautiful. Check-in is very easy. We stayed in a large room because we had our little dog with us; room equipped with a nice kitchen and 2 double beds and a large bathroom. Excellent breakfast with delicious cake. Excellent value for money!

Located in a village of other times, this ancient but renovated structure is very pleasant. It is very clean and welcoming, with friendly and helpful staff. Very positive for those with motorbikes and bicycles is the possibility of the garage. Overall, it was a great stay. Spacious, comfortable and practical two-room apartment. The small kitchenette has all the necessary dishes and the microwave and dishwasher add comfort. Good breakfast, especially the pastries and pies and the superb yogurt. Excellent service for entry via code that gives you maximum freedom upon arrival. Congratulations, everything is perfect. Better than many 3-star hotels. The two-room apartment is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is truly complete with everything. Excellent cleanliness and the place is lovely. We will definitely come back. There is a bit to review about the breakfast buffet organization in my opinion. Cards with the name in front of the tea or coffee or other foods displayed would be useful. I recommend a machine that automatically dispenses hot drinks: coffee, tea, cappuccino, etc. instead of the microwave with packets of milk to pour that splash and coffee pot. All not very practical, especially if there are several people at the same time. However, I recommend the stay to anyone. The structure is really well maintained. Thank you for the welcome. Not very convenient in terms of access but immersed in tranquility and a stone's throw from all amenities. Friendly, polite, and very helpful staff. New and very clean structure. In the quiet of the village, the structure offers every comfort. Besides the nearby Tirano, we very much appreciate the services of Lovero. Sandro's advice was crucial in planning our itineraries in the valley, which we greatly appreciated, in addition to the great availability and kindness that welcomed us in the structure. We will plan a late autumn and winter stay.

Excellent facility to base yourself for trips to nearby locations such as Bormio and Livigno. Mr. Sandro was very kind and helpful. We were two couples with 2 daughters of 20 months and the playroom was very useful for rainy days. Top breakfast and cleanliness.

For our short vacation in this property, we had a great time. The hostel is very clean, furnished and maintained with simplicity, in the apartment there is everything you need. We really enjoyed Roberta's homemade soap and the chats with Sandro, also appreciated the rich breakfasts. We want to thank them for their warm welcome. Too bad it lasted a short time. The structure is wonderful, as are the comfortable, modern and spacious rooms. The welcome is excellent and the kindness and competence are excellent. Very useful the bike box that shows the nature of a bike hotel equipped with everything, even for fixing the mechanical parts. Strategic location to reach splendid mountain bike itineraries. The owner's knowledge and the possibility of being guided on mountain bike routes complete the splendid picture of the B&B Il Seicento.

Excellent welcome and availability of the manager. The B&B is located in a quiet position. Abundant choice for breakfast. We (me and my family) appreciated the reading room (with the countless herbal teas available) and the children's space in the 'cave'.
