Description
The B&B is located on the ground floor of a big stone house, it has an independent entrance and an outdoor car parking.

The house is surrounded by a large garden where it’s possible to have breakfast in summer, the hedge makes the garden quiet and private.

A wonderful cherry tree will provide you with an afternoon snack in May, and flowers and plants, my mother’s hobby, will make your staying more pleasant. On sunny days in Summer you can sunbathe in the “solarium” where you can find some sunbeds, a big umbrella and a lawn swing.

You will relax for sure!
You won’t miss the company of many animals: the fish in the pond, Zagor e Zoe, the two house dogs, the goat Sofie, some hens, some geese and a lot of birds.

Cà Merlo is the ideal place for those who love animals and would like to take their dog with them on holiday.

The breakfast at Ca 'Merlo is a "must".

After your arrival you will receive a questionnaire where you can indicate your breakfast menu.

Somethin of your breakfast is into the coapbords (cafè, thee...) or on the table (different jam, nutella, honey...)
In the morning I'll put other thins you've chosen for your breakfast into a nice basket at the entrance.

The products are mostly locally produced and breakfast will become a the first meeting with the rich gastronomy of Valtellina.
.and for those who want it is possible to ask for gluten-free products!
During Spring and Sommer you can have breakfast also outside in the garden.

Dear guests,
Tourism has been my passion since I was young, which I have turned into my profession as I grew up.

I hold a degree in tourism sciences and besides managing Cà Merlo in Villa di Tirano, I work as a tourist guide and companion.

It will be my great pleasure to accompany you on the Bernina red train. Throughout the journey, I will provide you with breathtaking views along with my "flavored" explanations, filled with local legends, interesting facts, a few snippets of Valtellina and Valchiavenna history, and, why not, some popular sayings.

Everything is designed to make your trip truly unforgettable.

In addition to being specialized in the Bernina Express route, I can also accompany you on a visit to the beautiful historic center of Tirano and its splendid Basilica, as well as other excursions throughout the entire province, in the nearby Valposchiavo and Engadine.

I will be delighted to be your guide for a day.

It is indeed in the immediate vicinity of Switzerland, with its enchanting valleys, Engadine and Valposchiavo, just one kilometer from Tirano, the Italian terminus of the famous Bernina red train, and not far from other tourist, leisure, and shopping destinations such as Bormio, Livigno, Aprica, and Tirano.

We stayed only a few hours, but we felt at home. Francesca (the owner) was very kind. We stayed in the blue studio and it's a little gem for cleanliness and new furnishings. Highly recommended.

The owners were available from the beginning in everything, there were no problems of any kind as we had a disability issue with a dog. Very clean and well furnished, simple and essential, a stone's throw from the center of Tirano, we felt like we were at home.

We stayed at the B&B Cà Merlo for 2 nights. Cozy, clean structure with a well-kept garden and close to the center of Tirano. Francesca, the owner, is simply unique. She pampered us and provided very accurately all the information for the tour with the Bernina train (most suggestive stops, where to stay, what to visit). I miei genitori con altri 6 amici hanno soggiornato presso il B&B e si sono trovati benissimo. Cortesia della proprietaria e disponibilità, la struttura è piaciuta tantissimo e la posizione si è rivelata davvero comoda per raggiungere il paese e la stazione per il trenino del Bernina. La stra consiglio.

Ambiente molto spazioso e accogliente. Curato nei minimi particolari e con amore. Sembra di essere a casa. La colazione nel cestino lasciata fuori dalla porta alla mattina è una vera coccola. Ho soggiornato in questa struttura in occasione del mio giro di due giorni sul trenino rosso del Bernina. Consiglio caldamente a tutti di prenderla in considerazione, per la logistica (comodissima per la stazione che è molto vicina) ma soprattutto per l'accoglienza della proprietaria, Francesca, cordialissima ed efficiente nel prenotare e proporre le tappe consigliate. La struttura è nuova e pulita e la colazione è ottima, ogni giorno dolci e pane appena sfornati. Dieci e lode. Silvia.

Ho soggiornato a Cà Merlo per una sola notte (purtroppo) con bambini piccoli. La struttura è splendida, ben curata, pulita, con giardino. Francesca, che la gestisce, è gentilissima e disponibilissima a soddisfare le esigenze di ognuno. Non manca nulla. Consigliatissimo.

Il 7/4/13 ho soggiornato con mia moglie presso il B&B Cà Merlo trovato nel sito web bed-and-breakfast.it. Posizione comodissima a qualche centinaio di metri da Tirano con il miniappartamento che ci è stato dato veramente arredato con gusto e molto comodo. Ottima la prima colazione che ci è stata fornita. Ringraziamo la proprietaria Francesca che si è dimostrata molto gentile e disponibile per qualsiasi informazione che le abbiamo chiesto.

Luogo suggestivo in un alloggio confortevole, accogliente e familiare. L'appartamento è ben organizzato, dotato di tutto il necessario e collocato a pochi passi dalla bellissima cattedrale di Tirano. Ma l'aspetto più importante è stato il sentirsi in famiglia. Il gestore fa quello che in pochissimi fanno: accompagnare il turista lungo tutto il soggiorno, consigliarlo nelle visite e negli acquisti, aiutarlo nella risoluzione di problemi nell'immediato e fermarsi ad ascoltarlo. Consiglio vivamente a tutti l'alloggio al Cà Merlo.
