I stayed for 1 night in this guesthouse. It was a nightmare. Room on the third floor under the roof, without air conditioning, there was a ceiling fan that did little and a portable air conditioner, fake, that only blew hot air and made a noise like a tractor. As a result, we couldn't sleep but spent the whole night in the sauna. The response to my criticisms was that the website states that there is no air conditioning. But a working fan should be present. I advised the manager to sleep there for a night to understand if it is possible to rent. Negative experience, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Terrible experience in this bed and breakfast. The rooms are in unhygienic conditions, very dirty, non-functioning bidet, no breakfast service, only a small table with coffee at the entrance which was sometimes missing in the mornings.\n\nI stayed with my mother, a 75-year-old who was about to undergo surgery at the nearby Villa Erbosa clinic. The room had no heating and was cold for three days, contrary to what was indicated on the website. When I asked for an electric heater to take a ten-minute shower, I was told there were no heaters. Furthermore, on the morning my mother was supposed to be admitted, there was no hot water and she couldn't shower, which she absolutely needed.\nWhen I asked to have a hot shower, I was told it was my fault if there was no water and that the water heater would recharge after three hours. No alternative was provided (another room to shower, for example) and when I asked for a solution, the response was "the solution is for you to go to a hotel and shower there". Initially, I was told that I wouldn't have to pay for the current night if I left, but then, when settling the bill, the owner changed his mind and said "no, you also have to pay for that night". I don't like to argue, so I paid and left, but I truly have never encountered such people before.\n\nThe result was that I had to take a 75-year-old person, who can't walk, to the hospital two hours early, in a torrential rain, without a shower, 24 hours before a very delicate surgery.\n\nThe previous night, there was a very concerning incident that alarmed all the guests of the bed and breakfast: endless screams, noises of broken things by a guest with evident issues. When the people I know and were there asked for explanations, evasive answers were given. Certainly, it's not a safe place for women alone accompanying family members for surgery.\n\nI repeat, one of the worst places I have ever stayed in. I recommend the hotel nearby, which has a similar price, with a service worthy of the money spent.

Really friendly hosts, always smiling. Excellent cleanliness with very helpful staff. I was impressed to find the room tidied up every day and the linens clean. Kitchen and coffee always available, including fresh drinking water which is not common. Thank you for everything. Simonetta Esposito.

Good value for money. Clean. Meets expectations. The owners are very kind.

I stayed at Sophia Art Guesthouse for my wife's surgery at Villa Erbosa and found it very welcoming, almost like being at home. It is in a great location because once you park your car in front of the house, you don't need to touch it again since it is less than a 3-minute walk from the hospital. Clean and the owner is very kind and always available for any needs. Well-served because there is a newsstand, tobacco shop, great bar, and bank in front, and it is convenient to the highway, with many supermarkets nearby. I couldn't temporarily enjoy breakfast due to the renovation of the breakfast room, but I had vouchers for breakfast at the cozy bar downstairs.

Extremely disappointed, from the location in a dangerous area to walk through, scaffolding set up and windows open with the fear that someone might enter. No air conditioning in the rooms.

Cozy, nice, clean and friendly and helpful staff.

I stayed at Sophia Art Guesthouse due to my wife's surgical operation. The location of the property is very close to the clinic and therefore excellent for me. The room was well organized and clean, the only thing I can say is that, having run out of rooms with a private bathroom, I had to settle for a shared bathroom with three other rooms. The bathroom, on the other hand, was cleaned every day. I must thank the manager for his exquisite kindness and cooperation.

Fantastic B&B, quality and price. Everything was perfect. I totally recommend it. We had a wonderful holiday in Bologna. Thank you very much!

I was on a business trip and needed a room in the Hippodrome area, and after much searching, I found a room in this B&B at a good price compared to the competition. There are various structures, located in different areas, the one I needed is in Via dell'Arcoveggio 56/20. For the reservation, I did everything by phone contacting the owner, in my opinion, even a confirmation service by email would give more guarantees, however, there were no problems. I used the convenient and free shuttle service from the airport, saving 16 euros on the taxi. After check-in, I was given the keys to the room, but it hadn't been cleaned yet, at 10:30, another thing to improve since the next day I found that they cleaned at 13, a bit too late. The room was pleasant, well-furnished and comfortable, with radiators that keep the environment warm. In the room, there is also a heat pump, without a remote control, probably used only to cool off in the summer, no need for heat as the radiators do their job excellently. In the room, there is a coffee machine, a microwave oven, and various cups, cutlery, tea bags, juice bricks, a bottle of water, 4 packaged snacks, everything needed for a simple breakfast. If you need anything else nearby, there is a newsstand, a bar, a bakery, a small shop, a pizzeria, and about 300 meters away, a supermarket. To go downtown, the bus stop 11C is a short walk away. I leave the most negative aspect for last, the noise of the room, very noisy, even at night, Via dell'Arcoveggio is quite busy, and the railway passes nearby. Overall satisfied.

Bad experience. Total lack of communication and organization from the managers, I had great difficulty contacting them, they changed the accommodation without informing me, confusion about the address I had to go to. I had booked a single room with breakfast, they gave me an apartment (which I found out once I arrived on site) and no breakfast.

Good structure very close to the clinic, I stayed one night with my two brothers. The only problem is that, being honest, I paid in advance. In fact, the operator was surprised. The following three days, not staying the last day, I was not refunded for one day nor given a receipt. He told me that I had not canceled in due time (at 8 in the morning). Too bad because I will have to return to Bologna in the clinic for a check-up. They usually say that we southerners are cunning. Next time I will behave differently.

Like at grandma's house. Clean and welcoming, with rooms decorated with creativity by the eclectic manager. We stayed there for a visit to Villa Erbosa, and for this reason it is excellent, very close to the clinic which can be reached on foot, quiet area with a supermarket and pharmacy at 500 m. Below the hotel there is a small shop with everything, and in front a tobacco shop and take-away pizza place. 1 km from the highway exit as well as 2 km from the train station. The scores given are as objective as possible, but if I have to think about the whole experience, we felt welcomed and peaceful. Kitchen corner always available. What else to say, we will definitely come back, on a trip though. One small note: the slats... the owner will understand. Cordiality.

We stayed one night in room number 4 at 56/20 via Dell'Arcoveggio, which is tastefully decorated and, all in all, functional and suitable only for very short stays. What we didn't like is: request for prepayment, it had never happened to us before; fairly small room located on the ground floor, with the only available window facing directly onto the street pavement; very noisy room at night due to vehicular traffic; mediocre cleanliness, the coffee machine was dirty and there was dust on the back of the toilet bowl; unsatisfactory breakfast, with packaged products (but we had been informed in advance) of mediocre quality; lack of bidet; poor value for money, the €60 paid seemed excessive in relation to the location and services offered. We are unlikely to return.

It is the second time I stay at Sophia Art: I can only compliment them for their courtesy and kindness. I have always stayed in the apartments in via Manin which I found very functional and comfortable. I can only compliment the entire staff of Sophia Art.

I stayed a few days ago at this property due to its proximity to Villa Erbosa clinic. I really enjoyed it thanks to the kindness of the staff and all the comforts offered. I thank Mr. Piero who found a way to always please us. Excellent cleaning service and breakfast is fantastic for those who have to go to the clinic and have little time in the morning. Thank you very much, I will definitely come back. Congratulations.

Since everyone was on vacation, being August: - The shuttle service was not available. - Breakfast was not possible. - Room cleaning was not possible. - The sheets were not very fresh. Additionally, only three random channels had signal, so the TV was useless/non-existent. Very hot room, every morning I woke up in a sweat bath. The only positive note was the proximity to the clinic and Yari's kindness. I will return to Bologna, but I will stay elsewhere.

I warmly thank the manager of the Sophia Art Affittacamere, Piero, and all his collaborators for the kindness and courtesy they have shown towards us. We stayed for only three days but we will definitely come back. Everyone was very helpful. The rooms are very well-kept in detail, very nice and above all clean. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The room or apartment is not at all close to the city center, as the manager assured that it was only a 10-minute walk from the structure to the historic center when it actually takes 44 minutes. Terrible location, the ad states that it is 1 km from the historic center when it is actually 3.4 km away (source Google maps from via Arcoveggio 50 to historic center Bologna).

Price surprise! Upon my arrival at Sophia Art Affittacamere, I was informed by the reception girl (if we can call it that, as it was very brief) of a different and higher rate than the one communicated to me at the time of booking. The reason? "Only these rooms are left here." However, I had booked more than a month in advance and the manager had confirmed the room and rate to me over the phone! It's a shame that this property doesn't communicate via email! Now I understand why! I never saw the owner, only a girl who supposedly acted as a receptionist. The room was noisy (you could hear everything from the next room through the gypsum walls) and not very clean. Breakfast was not included, and there were very few supplies to prepare it yourself. The only positive aspects are the proximity to Villa Erbosa and the airport, and the nearby bus stop to the city center. They showed very little professionalism and for those who already face significant expenses to travel to Bologna for health reasons, it's not nice to find price surprises upon arrival, not to mention the tourist tax.

One-week stay in March 2017. Very clean and nice room. Cleaning service well managed and punctual. Shuttle service not excellent: I booked the day before for the return, I was given the ok but the next morning we were left stranded without any notice, risking missing the flight.

Clean and well-kept. 35 euros, bathroom in the room and TV, I would say an excellent value for money. The window maybe didn't close properly, there was always the feeling of hearing too much external noises.

Very clean room, shuttle availability. Unfortunately, the room is very noisy (the train regularly passed by near the bed-and-breakfast throughout the night). The fan was not working. For another booking in this property, I would consider it only if I had to undergo a procedure at Villa Erbosa. For a tourist need, I would choose a different structure.

Great location for those going to the fair, with a bus you can reach the center directly. Excellent room cleanliness, Mr. Piero is very kind! Large room for two people, with a double bed, a single bed, table and chairs, bathroom (shower and sink), another bathroom with toilet and bidet, anteroom with hairdryer, wardrobe and TV. Bright and well-heated room. What can I say? Excellent!

They stand out for their humanity, availability, and moral support. Both Piero and the family are excellent managers. Great structure and perfectly located near Villa Erbosa for our needs. Rooms are very cozy, warm, and clean. Regarding the owner, Mr. Carducci is a very nice and helpful person. I highly recommend staying there. Greetings from Sicily.

Strategic location to move around. Very convenient bus to the city center. Bright, spacious, original rooms recently renovated. The manager Piero exceptional in following the guest from check-in to check-out, present for every need. Recommended!

I stayed only one night due to my hospitalization at Villa Erbosa and I found myself really well. The room was very cozy, clean and economical. For me, there was no problem with the shared bathroom, which I was informed about at the time of booking. I did not take advantage of breakfast because I could not eat due to the operation I had to undergo. The owner was courteous and available. The room was very pleasant even though it was very hot. The shared bathroom with other rooms was a negative aspect, which I was not aware of at the time of booking, as well as the noise coming from outside, and the cleaning lady who came too early in the morning, so much so that I had to leave the room the morning of check-out an hour earlier than agreed. The property is in any case well connected to the city center. The owner was polite and helpful.

Piero, you are great and your availability, in certain cases, is like manna from heaven. I had a great time and I have to thank you, also on behalf of my wife, for your courtesy. The only sour note in all this is the non-functioning of the Wi-Fi which forced me to make arrangements. For the rest everything is okay and I highly recommend it. Excellent strategic location for those who need to be near Villa Erbosa. I have a good memory of you and everything I needed, from the pizzeria-restaurant La Reginella, with wonderfully friendly staff, to the bar and everything that a person away from home needs. I confirm once again: Piero, you are awesome.

The structure is located on the third and top floor, very clean and welcoming, tastefully furnished. However, there is the noise of the passing train and it is also too hot as it lacks insulation.
