B&B Carosello, located in the historic center, wants to offer guests a welcome that puts them at ease in a well-kept, pleasant and spacious environment.
The apartment is located on the second floor of a 1950's luxury apartment building which has a lift.
The entrance is located on a lively and characteristic street, full of shops of all kinds, but the apartment overlooks a quiet and bright internal courtyard full of charm on one side and on a silent magnificent private garden on the other.
B&B Carosello..the colors of hospitality! Each room is in fact characterized by a color: Yellow, Orange, Green and Blue.
The soft colors personalize and make each room unique, the dimensions of which vary from 15 to 20 square meters. There are three double bedrooms and one triple bedroom, all equally quiet.
The Blue double room has an internal private bathroom, the Green triple room has an external private bathroom immediately next to it and the Yellow and Orange double rooms have an external bathroom next to it, which can be private or shared by the two rooms, subject to availability.
In the bright and welcoming common room characterized by pastel colors
and equipped with a pleasant balcony with wrought iron table and chairs overlooking the splendid garden, you can spend time reading a book or planning your itineraries. Or even working on the PC when necessary, taking advantage of the free WI-FI that we put at your disposal.
In the large corridor you will find an exhibitor with various brochures, relating to the events and art references that our city offers.

A wonderful accommodation with careful decoration, very clean and close to Piazza Maggiore, about 15 minutes and 20 minutes from Bologna Centrale. Full of thoughtful details. They leave infusions, water, Coca-Cola, cookies... in case you want a snack. It has a fridge and a balcony. You get breakfast at the café across the street with coffee, fresh juice and a variety of sweet or savory pastries, delicious. Massimo was very attentive. Worth repeating.

Excellent room quality and location. The host was wonderful. The breakfast was perfect. The bathroom was clean and perfectly functional, but small and a challenge due to a key lock that could only be operated from the inside.

Preface: Excellent location, quiet building, view from the common rooms onto a beautiful garden, excellent cleanliness, adequate room, excellent breakfast, perfect room amenities (towel set, kettle, water, Coca Cola, tea, herbal teas, candies, soap, shampoo). If I did not give the maximum rating, it is not so much due to the bathroom (more than adequate, even if shared with another room), but due to two contingent situations. The first is the truly exceptional heat of July, which made the ceiling fan completely inadequate, while there was air conditioning in the common rooms. The second, of lesser importance, was the automated check-in and check-out, perhaps understandable for the holiday month, but functional and operational, though not at the highest level. I would definitely return, but in a different season.

Carosello is a great place to stay in Bologna! Great location, near bus stops and walking distance to the town centre. Near plenty of great restaurants, cafes and shopping. I stayed in Matrimoniale Arancio and it was spacious, clean and comfortable. The included breakfast at the cafe across the road was great with very good coffee and pastries! The host was friendly and welcoming too. Highly recommend.

Carosello was great. The location is terrific, Emanuela was a great host—attentive, helpful, just plain nice. The view from our room was wonderful, of a whole peaceful green space with flowers and wonderful smells. The place is quiet and very close to the historic center of Bologna. When we return to Bologna, we will DEFINITELY stay at Carosello!

The first thing that struck me was definitely the cleanliness. Large room, there is no air conditioning but there is a fan above the bed. The only downside is the shared bathroom with another room. I'm not reviewing the breakfast because I skipped it.

Excellent welcome and explanation of procedures, including breakfast at the bar across the street. Breakfast choice of pastries was varied and staff were very friendly. A list of local restaurants was shared with us. The room was clean, light, comfortable, and generous drink facilities were supplied. Walkable to many highlights of Bologna. We would have liked access to a small kitchen but our stay was wonderful. We would not hesitate to go back to Carosello if the occasion arises. Thank you.

A very nice B&B in a central location, yet quiet, as the rooms are at the back, overlooking a small park. The breakfast is served in a bar across the street, 1 coffee, 1 juice, and 1 croissant per person are included in the price. We were completely satisfied and can recommend the B&B.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Carosello in the ’Blu’ suite with private bathroom. The room was clean, spacious, and included a small fridge. The bathroom shower had great water pressure. Communication with the host was easy through WhatsApp. The only (small) downside was the ’Breakfast’ part of ’BnB’. Great that it’s in a ’proper’ cafe, but it only included one coffee (of your choice - eg caffe, cappuccino) and one pastry (your choice - sweet or salty). Although I suppose it’s an ’Italian-style’ breakfast… Nevertheless, I’d stay again for the right price point and happily recommend it.

I highly recommend Carosello for your trip to Bologna. The location was conveniently located to the city center. The host was excellent and made many recommendations on activities and restaurants. My room was spotless. I shared a bathroom with another guest, but it was cleaned daily. The beds were firm, but that seemed to be common in my travels in Italy. Excellent location!

Great location and Massimo, the manager, is super kind and helpful. Upon arrival, he gave us directions about the place and how to get around, giving us tips on where to eat and what to visit. The room was nice and comfortable, the only downside was that there were two towels in the bathroom that hadn't been changed, but we never needed them because we had our own. Breakfast was included and took place in the bar across the street with a wide selection of croissants or savory options, very good. I recommend especially for the great value for money of the place and for the excellent location.

We really liked the place. We stayed in the yellow room. I recommend unplugging the fridge at night because it is noisy. Otherwise, everything was perfect. Massimo was also very kind in case of need and Emanuela welcomed us with information and advice. The location for visiting the historic center is perfect. The breakfast at the bar was good even though the place was very crowded during the weekend. We noticed that the staff at the Felicity bar where breakfast was served was very nice and very helpful when we said we were from Carosello. If we come back to Bologna, we will definitely return to Carosello.

The hostess, Emmanuel, was fantastic and very helpful. I had the blue room which had its own bathroom inside the room. No balcony on the blue room but a shared balcony was available on the communal sitting room. You need to navigate a few steps before getting to the elevator. Carosello is on the second floor. Breakfast is provided at a great bar across the road with sweet or savoury croissants, a coffee and an orange juice. Great location within walking distance to the centre. Buses are nearby and the central railway station is not far either. Perfect!

This is a perfect accommodation for a short stay (we were there for 2 nights) in Bologna. The B&B is located in the center and is surrounded by streets with interesting shops, restaurants, and bars. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk to Piazza Maggiore. However, the rooms are completely quiet as they are located at the back of a very well renovated old residential complex. We were very warmly welcomed and immediately received all the important information including a city map and numerous tips on restaurants, bars, etc. Breakfast is served in a great café across the street. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean, there is a refrigerator and basic supplies (water, soft drinks, coffee ...). We would gladly return at any time.

Clean and comfortable with excellent communication from Emanuela. Easy walk to the historical city center and from the train station. Breakfast at the cafe across the street worked well once we figured out the system (a written Google translate message worked best). The pastries were maybe the best we had in Italy, and the orange juice was fresh and delicious. The door to our room was thin so there was some noise, but the other guests were respectful. The biggest drawback for me was that the window shade wouldn't come down completely, so the room was flooded with morning light early (a nice feature except when you want to sleep in).

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast a few minutes walk from the center of Bologna. Quiet room and comfortable bed with everything you need (kettle, biscuits, drinks, some snacks offered). The rooms are located inside an elegant apartment furnished with taste and overlook a beautiful garden or an internal courtyard. What a charming little place! Our first night was in a room with an external bath, which was not ideal, but it was just fine! We enjoyed the little balcony. Our next two nights we had an en-suite bath, which was great. Middle of the night excursions to the bathroom were much easier. Our host, Emanuela, was simply delightful, giving us so much information, maps, and suggestions for our time in Bologna. The breakfast was at a cafe across the street, where everything was so very good! One street over you’ll find a plethora of cafes, bars, nightlife, etc. We had an amazing meal at Trattoria Fantoni, which I highly recommend! All in all, the B&B is a super-clean, well-priced option for visiting the lovely town of Bologna.

I stayed in the green room with a wonderful view of a garden. Very central location, super quiet at night. You can hear birds in the morning. The room and shared spaces are beautifully decorated with taste, very clean. The bed is comfy. Emanuela is a great host! Check-in was coordinated professionally. I really enjoyed breakfast time at the pastry shop next to the B&B. I definitely recommend Carosello!

Host was really friendly and gave brief tips about the city. The property's location wasn't in the city center and that was perfect, a much quieter place, yet still within easy walking distance. The bed was amazing, usually beds are too hard in hotels and hostels, but this one was great! The only downside was the noise from upstairs late in the evening, the usual sounds of living, and always a problem in old houses, but I still recommend using earplugs.

I can talk for hours about this accommodation. First of all, Emmanuela welcomed us with a smile, kindness and a great willingness to give us information about the sights of the city. We stayed in the yellow room which has the bathroom right next door. The cleanliness is indescribable. The decoration was very thoughtful and the room had a balcony. Inside the room there was the possibility of making coffee and tea. The property is located in a straight line from the city centre, just a 5-minute walk away. Across from the room, there is CAFÉ FELICITY where we enjoyed the amazing breakfast we were served. Amazing coffee, handmade croissants (the chocolate - pistachio was a dream) and natural orange juice. I consider B&B Carosello the best choice for your stay in Bologna.

Uncomplicated automated check-in (via phone) due to my late arrival, very warm personal welcome by Emanuela the next day. I stayed in the Green Room, which is quite spacious and lovingly decorated, with a nice view into the garden, very quiet and cozy (you hear the birds sing in the morning), even though the apartment is located in the middle of the city. I shared the bathroom with another person, but basically never met or saw them. When I did the booking I felt the price was a bit high, but now that I've been there I think it's worth it. I really enjoyed staying there and hope that I can return some day.

The structure is central, about fifteen minutes walk from the Central Station and just over 5 minutes from Piazza del Nettuno. The area is very lively with trattorias, cafes, bars, shops, and more. \n\nThe B&B is located in a beautiful and very quiet building, overlooking an inner courtyard, so rest is assured. The apartment is very spacious and bright, and the decor is fantastic, colorful and vintage.\n\nWe stayed two nights in the Yellow room with an external private bathroom. This room has a small balcony overlooking the inner courtyard, it is large and comfortable, with a comfortable bed. It is beautifully furnished and very clean, like the whole structure. \n\nThe breakfast at the bar in front is good, with juice, coffee, and a giant croissant. \n\nEmanuela's welcome was excellent. She was very kind, helpful, and attentive. \n\nIf I return to Bologna, I will return to Carosello. I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at Carosello! Emanuela was extremely hospitable and informative. She also provided us with plenty of information on things to do and places to be, which was super helpful for us to make the most of our stay in Bologna. We were greeted by the very kind host, who spent almost an hour talking to us, explaining in detail the city map, what to do and see in just 3 days, where to eat, and which streets to take. The bed and breakfast is really welcoming, the rooms are spacious and equipped with every comfort: there is even a space with an electric kettle, a wide selection of teas and herbal teas, biscuits, a minibar with water and Coca-Cola, and much more! The location is perfect, close to the center and not far from the central station, which can be easily reached on foot. The bar associated with the B&B for breakfast is excellent and has a varied selection of pastries. Highly recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at the B&B Carousel. Our room was spacious and bright, and the hostess provided water, coffee, cookies, and little candies as a welcome. We really appreciate having a coffee maker in the room to start our morning. She communicated well before our arrival. And when we checked in, she gave us many helpful tips for enjoying the city. Unfortunately, she forgot to mention the little "trick" for using the key to the main door from the street. Before leaving for the night, we made sure all the keys worked but discovered there is a little trick with one of the keys. Luckily another resident was able to help us and everything worked out fine. We felt safe and enjoyed the location near the historic center. There was only one night that the people above us could be heard, but we were home early that evening and the noise did not last.

In the common room there is a delightful terrace overlooking a beautiful garden. Pleasure trip with my husband. At the reception, made out of hours by us, we found Emanuela. Very kind, she let us leave our bags, explained the B&B rules. We were given a gift for our stay. Green Room, very spacious, double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, luggage rack. In-room amenities include a kettle, cups and a selection of tea and herbal teas, sugar. A small fridge for cooling natural water, sparkling water, orangeade and spritz, offered by the manager, with shower kit and towel set. The bathroom, shared, outside the room, with shower, bidet, toilet, sink, all very clean. Room overlooking a garden, very quiet. Sweet or savoury breakfast at the bar in front of the B&B. Despite the check-in being at 11, they kept the luggage in the large common room and provided the code to retrieve them. Everything is very close to visit the city. The Carosello B&B provides everything you need for a short stay in Bologna. Rooms are very clean and have a comfortable bed with good storage space. Coffee and tea are provided. The shared bathroom is clean with a good shower. Great location in the historic city area. Emanuela was very responsive and helpful. The only negative aspect is the complicated system that you need to set up on your mobile to access through 3 different doors. Otherwise, loved my stay.

Kind and helpful manager. The structure is located in a very quiet area, but also very close to the bars and the historic center. It has two bathrooms for three rooms and one room with a bathroom, so it is much more useful for groups of acquaintances who have no problem sharing the facilities. The room is well located but accessing it feels like a Fort Boyard adventure. Beware if the phone is dead! It's what allows entry. The bedding is of good quality. Upon arrival, we discover that breakfast is not served on-site but at a nearby café. Perhaps more explanations in advance would have been helpful. We had to explain it on the second day to a German tourist who didn't understand. We had discovered it the day before from a note on the map placed on the bed. Our hostess was absolutely charming even though we never met her.

We very much appreciated the exquisite welcome and the maximum availability of Mrs. Emanuela. The B&B is very well maintained, with a pleasant display of paintings, vintage objects, and books available; the location is perfect to quickly reach the center of Bologna on foot but is also very well served by public transport to reach any other part of the city. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and above all very quiet because they face the internal courtyard and garden. The excellent breakfast is served in an artisan pastry shop almost in front. My husband and I stayed at this property for 2 days between Christmas and New Year's Eve. Extremely helpful managers and a structure just a few steps from the center. Even though we arrived late, we were instructed and followed step by step from a distance, it was as if the owners were there with us. The organization of the smart check-in was a success: a very fun and nice little treasure hunt! Amazing B&B in Bologna. The check-in was really easy and hassle-free, the instructions were timely and clear. I didn't meet the host but I had a few questions during my stay and they were answered quickly. I was also able to get a late check-out, which was very much appreciated. The apartment is lovely and well maintained, the room was comfortable and well equipped and the shared bathroom was always clean. The best B&B you can book in Bologna! It is located fantastically, in a lively neighborhood, in a beautiful building. The atmosphere of Carosello and the different rooms is very special: warm, cozy, decorated with lots of love and style. I still carry that atmosphere with me. Massimo and Emanuela are treasures and extremely welcoming. They do everything to make the guests feel at ease. Breakfast at the nearby Felicity is really an addition: so nice to have breakfast among Italians with great cappuccino. The balcony in the common room overlooks a green courtyard and has sun all day if you wish (shade on the other side:). The big surprise was how quiet and silent the rooms are: even though you are in the middle of the city, you don't hear anything in the evening and at night. I already miss Carosello...

Upon arrival at the accommodation, we only found out that we had to share the bathroom. Neither the pictures nor the description during booking had indicated this. It was only by re-reading 'the fine print' that we found the notice. The same happened to the other couple. For the price, one would expect a private bathroom. The breakfast, consisting of a croissant and a cappuccino, is quite modest. We expected more here as well. The price-performance ratio is therefore poor. However, the manager is very friendly and helpful. Although he says he is always available, this was not the case in our situation. When we wanted to clarify with him if we could possibly collect breakfast for the next day already in the afternoon before, because we would be leaving before the café opens the next day, he was not reachable and the café owner was afraid he might not be able to bill it correctly. So no help here either...

Very central area, clean and very quiet rooms. Delicious breakfast at the bar in front (with the best brioche ever!). The owner is very helpful with all our requests! The inconvenience of the lack of parking is there, but if you want to go downtown and not spend a fortune, the discomfort is expected.

Very central location, ten minutes from the main points of interest. We stayed with my boyfriend for the Ligabue concert, we shared the bathroom with another room. I must say I was amazed by the cleanliness of the bathroom. Breakfast is served in the bar in front of Carosello, very wide choice, the pastries are delicious. The owner was very kind in providing all the information for self check-in and available for every request. We were given a map and a detailed explanation on how to get to the points of interest in the best way and in the shortest time. Highly recommend it.

Everything was quite nice, and the check-in uncomplicated. I did not get the WiFi to work, though, as the attendant was not sure about the correct password and had left before I could try.

My family and I stayed at the Carosello B&B for a couple of nights (a triple and a double with shared bathroom), finding availability and kindness in the people who welcomed us. The rooms and the bathroom (very clean) have everything you need for a short stay. Breakfast included at the Felicity bar just outside the B&B - also there very kind staff with abundant and good breakfast. Perfect location, a few steps from the center and a fifteen-minute walk from the station. I will definitely come back!

Everything perfect. The lady was very kind, extremely courteous, she even gave us a souvenir of our stay. Excellent value for money. Ideal location to explore the city. More than positive experience. We will come back... hopefully soon to make up for an event that was postponed at the last moment. Thank you for everything.

First of all, great availability and kindness of the manager who proved to be, even before arrival, very friendly and welcoming (which, in my opinion, adds value to the stay and I consider it an element that often guides the choice to return). The structure is very beautiful, well-kept and quiet (our blue room overlooked the inner courtyard and offered a pleasant tranquility). The breakfast at the affiliated bar is appreciable (very good croissants). It is easy to reach the center of Bologna on foot. The structure is close to an area that offers many dining services. We will definitely come back. Congratulations!

I stayed at Carosello for four nights and it was delightful. From the comfortable, clean, and colorful room, to the beautiful garden right below the window, the sophisticated breakfast included, and the kindness and friendliness of our friend Massimo. The only thing I would like to mention is that regarding the shared bathroom, they should focus more on cleanliness, considering the two potential families using it and especially given the current circumstances, hygiene comes first always! Apart from this minor issue, I recommend this property for enjoying your vacation to the fullest.

Very quiet place even though it is in the center. Max was very kind, he welcomed us before the scheduled time and allowed us to leave our luggage until the afternoon of the departure day.

We loved staying at B&B Carosello! It is close to everything and has everything you need for a weekend stay. The property manager was incredibly lovely and really accommodating. I would 10/10 stay here again.

We stayed here for a weekend, we had a great time and left satisfied. The room and bathroom were very clean with everything we needed, the property is strategically located to visit the city center, and is very well maintained, with a beautiful inner garden in the courtyard appreciated from the balcony. Finally, the kindness and availability of the owners made us feel at home.

Everything perfect! Massimo is a fantastic host always ready to help you in case of difficulty. The structure is excellent, super clean and in a strategic position. I would absolutely recommend it. If I could, I would give it an 11. Massimo's ice cream is also excellent.

Very nice and clean room, new bathroom. Very quiet location despite being in the city center. Extremely kind staff always available to solve any small issue. Breakfast at the nearby bar, a bit crowded and noisy with limited choice (but excellent brioches!). Maybe a bit expensive compared to the offer (no discounts for children).

Great location, clean and quiet bed and breakfast. We stayed in the room with a private bathroom and we had a great time. Massimo, the owner, is very kind and helpful. Strategic location, the center is reachable in just 10 minutes on foot, and the area is very nice during the day for shopping and in the evening for restaurants and bars. Recommended!

The B&B is very well located, being in the heart of Bologna yet quiet in the courtyard. The host is very nice and helpful.\n\nEverything was very good, there is just a small point deducted for the price/quality ratio, as not every room has a private bathroom/shower/WC and is only accessible through the common hallway. The apartment is very stylishly furnished.\n\nA really nice contact, gladly again.

5 minutes from Piazza Grande, 15 from the station. Courtesy, cleanliness, very nice and quiet rooms, despite being very close to Pratello, a super night-life street! Highly recommended.
