In the heart of the historical center, a top a rare Art Deco palazzo, Cà Fosca is an elegant and spacious penthouse overlooking the rooftops of medieval Bologna. In its 2003 renovation, hostess Patrizia Ramponi carefully preserved its aristocratic grandeur and romantic ambience. The luminous rooms, full of artistic treasures, offer every modern convenience while transporting guests back to another era. Guests enjoy full breakfast, English tea, aperitifs and fine wine under the splendid skies of the ancient city in all seasons, beneath the rose trellises and fruit trees of the penthouse garden or in the art nouveau glass-roofed veranda. They may browse through the extensive library or sample Ms. Ramponi's exquisite cooking. Cà Fosca offers all the luxury of a deluxe hotel with the charm and personal attention of a bed & breakfast where you may fill at home.
Three double rooms are available: the large double queen-size Decò bed room en-suite shower bathroom (where a third single bed might be added), the “Fosca “ twin French bedded with facing private bathroom and the cud little Turkish Blue double room with en-suite bathroom.

Patrizia is an incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and informative host. She has a charming 'old world' style apartment that includes a fabulous outdoor patio area with fabulous views over parts of Bologna. Her apartment is incredibly well positioned in the city center. We stayed for 3 nights and felt we had become like temporary members of her family as we were introduced to her friends who came to visit. A tremendous character.

We were 6 people and were received with care and a lot of attention by Patrizia. She knows a lot about her city and her passion for history is contagious. The rooms are spacious, decorated, full of history and the bathrooms beautiful and practical. The terrace is magnificent, even in the rain. We felt very good and Patrizia managed to make us feel comfortable. It is warmly that we recommend a stay at her place.

We spent a few days in Bologna and I can confirm that the location is top notch. You can't get more central than this. Mrs. Patrizia welcomed us professionally and showed absolute availability. She always advised us best, telling us stories not found in guidebooks. We appreciated every helpful tip to discover a history-rich Bologna.

This place is a gem and Patrizia is not only a great host but gave us history lessons before touring the sights. I cannot recommend this place too highly.

Stayed at this Bed and Breakfast during the B&B Day. Excellent apartment in the center of Bologna (our Turca Blu room was practically inside the two towers) with 1920s decor and atmosphere complete with Art Nouveau stained glass windows, a flowery veranda, and tango always playing in the background. The owner Patrizia goes above and beyond to cater to every need of her guests, but the added value comes when she turns into an excellent guide giving advice and anecdotes about the city, whether you are looking for art and culture or restaurants and nightclubs. Highly recommended.
