Nice little apartment in the historic center of Matera, a short walk from the Sassi. Quiet and well-kept area. Since the apartment is in a ZTL (restricted traffic) zone, you need patience and time to find parking on the few streets without blue lines. Very pleasant experience, which I recommend. One thing to consider is that the property is a characteristic loft of the Matera area, with very high ceilings and beautiful cross vaults. This makes it extremely humid and cold and, despite the dehumidifier and the air conditioner being on 24/7 (ecologically devastating), the towels and sheets remain damp. I would recommend purchasing a modern, high-capacity dehumidifier (the one present is very small and outdated) to improve the loft's condition and avoid running the air conditioner.
