Nestled among olive trees, rosemary, and Mediterranean scrub, the B&B Tenuta Palmieri welcomes guests in a beautifully restored ancient residence that features authentic materials such as stone, reclaimed terracotta, and wood. Once a refuge for farmers and fishermen, the property was acquired in 1929 by Giovanni Palmieri, the maternal grandfather of the current family, and it now retains the understated charm of a lived-in home, carefully and sensitively reinterpreted.

Surrounded by nature, the establishment provides numerous spaces for relaxation: a porch adorned with comfortable sofas, quiet corners perfect for reading, a garden laid out in the typical terraced style of the Maratea area, and a path leading to a private pine forest. Here, guests can unwind on lounge chairs and watch the sunset in a serene and enchanting atmosphere.

The rooms are meticulously designed, reflecting the owners' love for nature, commitment to environmental respect, and passion for travel. Each morning, a wholesome and genuine breakfast is served on the panoramic terrace, which overlooks the Gulf of Policastro.

Just a short distance from the property, accessible via paths and steps nestled in greenery, is the small beach "A Renicedda," a quiet and secluded cove with clear waters. Continuing along the coast with a pleasant walk of about ten to fifteen minutes leads to "Du Nastru" beach, which is also free and surrounded by nature, perfect for those who appreciate a more authentic and unspoiled marine experience.

The area encourages a slow-paced exploration of the surroundings, featuring scenic walks, silences broken only by the sounds of nature, and sunsets over the sea. Within the estate, an untouched private pine forest offers additional spaces for relaxation and tranquility, in a setting that conveys a profound sense of peace and harmony with the surrounding environment.

By chance I stayed at Tenuta Palmieri with my partner and I was pleasantly impressed. The property is very beautiful and has a fantastic location that allows you to sunbathe in complete tranquility, and sometimes in solitude, in the pine forest of Tenuta Palmieri which is accessed via a walkway to the wonderful sea, enjoying, moreover, a beautiful view. The strong points of Tenuta Palmieri are undoubtedly the private access to the sea, the absolute tranquility, the rich breakfast with excellent quality products on a sea-view terrace, with a refined and very well-kept mise en place, as well as the hospitality, politeness, and friendliness of Mariangela and Vincenzo, who made us feel at home. I also mention Vincenzo's cuisine which prepared delicious dishes for us. \nWe liked the atmosphere that is created, truly wonderful. \nIt is a place full of charm where we will return.
