The La Locanda della Talpa is an apartment in the heart of the Sassi of Matera with two separate entrances.
It is located in the center of the Sasso Barisano, above the renowned La Talpa restaurant, in an excellent position to reach all the cultural and tourist attractions of Matera.
The apartment consists of two rooms, which can be separated if desired, both arranged on two levels with a double bedroom on the upper level and an ensuite bathroom.
The apartment is elegantly finished and equipped with every comfort: a living room, a desk area, a TV, a bedroom on the upper level, an ensuite bathroom, a walk-in wardrobe, heating and air conditioning, a dining room with a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, and a dryer.
The apartment can accommodate up to 6 people with two bedrooms, each with a double bed, and a living room with a sofa bed.
La Locanda della Talpa is the ideal place to spend a vacation in Matera or a romantic weekend in the Sassi.
Guests will have access to all areas of the apartment. On the lower level, there is a living room with two large sofas, one of which is a double sofa bed, a spacious equipped kitchen, and a bathroom. On the upper level, there is a large bedroom with a bed, a walk-in wardrobe, and a bathroom with air conditioning. The other double bed is located on a mezzanine above the kitchen area.
Guests will receive breakfast pastries and pies prepared by the chefs of the La Talpa restaurant and can also enjoy a special half-board service with dinner.

The Restaurant Pizzeria La Talpa is located in the center of the Sassi di Matera in the main street of Fiorentini, the beating heart of Sasso Barisano. Entirely carved into the rock and formerly used as a residence, in the year 2000 the venue was transformed into a cozy restaurant with approximately 100 seats inside.
During the beautiful season, from May to September, it welcomes its customers on a large terrace outside in the extraordinary setting of the Sassi di Matera with a suggestive view of the Cathedral.
Donatella, in collaboration with Chef Biagio Cicirelli and Master Pizzaiolo Antonio Panetta, offers typical dishes from the Lucanian tradition. You will be welcomed in a familiar and informal yet elegant environment by Mario, Issam, and the manager Sabatino.
The cleanliness of the premises and the tableware is taken care of by our always smiling Michelina.
