As soon as you step through the door of your “temporary home”, you will be enveloped by the intoxicating scent of delicate and relaxing essential oils. The private entrance with a balcony overlooking the surrounding valley will treat you to unforgettable sunsets and sunrises. Air conditioning, a breakfast corner and a private bathroom in the room, with a memory foam double mattress and double pillows, will make the difference, allowing you to enjoy a trip in complete freedom without sacrificing comfort.
The property is located just outside the Sassi, precisely in the Matera Sud area, 400 metres from the entrance to Sasso Caveoso, where the restricted traffic zone begins. The Madonna delle Grazie hospital is 550 metres away on foot. The ASM is 250 metres away.
Nearby you will find small shops (tobacconists, chemists, mini-markets, butchers and bakeries) offering locally sourced products that are sure to delight your taste buds!

Emanuele loves football and volleyball, but also all kinds of sports; Marilena has been managing accommodation facilities and tourist services for over 20 years and loves cooking and making your stay as comfortable as possible.
Daniela is our eldest daughter and is a dog trainer who helps us run the facility. Then there is Sofia, our second daughter; a lively and intelligent girl, but also sweet and kind.

We stayed at B&B Dany's house at the end of May 2025. The room is cozy, equipped with everything, very clean, and has a lovely terrace with a beautiful view. Free parking in front of the house. Super complete bathroom. Overall, I noticed the presence of many (pleasant) details that show great attention towards the guests. The breakfast was very good! There was everything one could wish for: tea, coffee, cappuccino, jams, biscuits, fruit juice, milk, water, and... I'm surely forgetting something! Marilena, who welcomed us, prepared fresh - in the picnic basket - delicious muffins with a chocolate heart to enjoy for breakfast. She also provided us with many good tips regarding restaurants, sightseeing routes... and a nice chat! Matera is beautiful, but the people we met - Marilena first and foremost - were truly the added value of our too short stay in the city of stones.

For us, everything is perfect. To visit Matera, it is the right accommodation. Just outside the ZTL. There is parking on the street. There is a bakery pastry shop almost right under the house. Adequate space in the room. Comfortable bed. Spacious wardrobe. Perfect bathroom. The landlord is wonderful, friendly, and always available.

Delightful welcome, Marilena and her family run this B&B with care and love. The cleanliness is excellent, the rooms are very spacious and tidy, Marilena's breakfast is simply amazing! The location is strategic to easily reach the historic center on foot, without the need to move the car, which can be left in the free and safe parking under the structure. Marilena, with lively competence, knows how to offer precise indications to best visit the splendid Matera! The excellent quality of the hospitality received has helped make our stay magnificent! We will definitely come back to visit you!

Truly good welcome in this B&B, with a large, clean and bright room, in shades of blue, equipped with everything you need: good bed, fridge, bathroom with shower (small missing bidet), possibility to hang something. And then breakfast: homemade sweets, jam and chocolate cream, yogurt, fruit, focaccia with cherry tomatoes and fresh bread, all delicious! And Marilena is extremely helpful, present and nice (at that time she was at the end of her pregnancy and carried her belly around with great ease! She also went to the post office to pick up a package we had sent!). In the street there is the possibility to park (the place is absolutely safe, although it doesn't look very well-kept: we left our motorcycle there!), an essential feature in Matera, and in a 10-minute walk you arrive at the Sasso Caveoso. Thank you, dear Marilena, and thanks also to the little Daniela, who is an efficient collaborator, and to Emanuele. Paolo and Maria Luisa (Padua).

In a quiet location, even though in the city. 5-10 minutes from the historic district. Public parking available right outside the house. Especially noteworthy for the welcoming atmosphere and hospitality, the family-like management style. Highly recommended.

Located in a quiet area, on the 2nd floor with a panoramic view, just over 1 km from the center, with a bus stop right outside the house. Excellent hospitality from the landlady. The suggestion of an extremely competent and engaging guide was highly appreciated, very useful for those who have never visited Matera.
