Born from the recent renovation of an old farmhouse, Casa dell'Artista is centrally located, just 5 minutes from the Sassi and the city center. In remembrance of the past, Casa dell'Artista was conceived on the harmony created by the contrast between a strong presence of natural wood, a stone wall, elements of tuff, and, not to forget history, an ancient quote by Carlo Levi about Matera.
The structure consists of two Domus, each composed of a living area, a bedroom, and a private bathroom. The rooms are heated and air-conditioned, elegantly furnished with attention to detail, and equipped with a refrigerator, kitchen, 40" TV, super-fast Wi-Fi connection, high-quality bed and bath linen, courtesy kit, hairdryer, first aid kit, and every comfort to enjoy a vacation independently with all the services available.
For the little ones, there is the possibility of using a comfortable baby cot.
Guests will have access to a completely autonomous property on the ground floor, they will be provided with keys and will be free to come and go at any time, without any time constraints.
Free parking outside the courtyard. Although we regret it, we are unable to accommodate our four-legged friends.
The enviable location and the uniqueness of the furnishings make Casa dell'Artista the ideal place for a peaceful yet unforgettable stay in Matera, the city proclaimed European Capital of Culture 2019.

Well-maintained little apartment, and above all very clean. The manager is very kind and helpful. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the center, with a nice walk along a beautiful avenue full of activities. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night at Casa dell'Artista, everything was perfect, the room was very clean and smelled fresh. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The host Danielo was super nice and helpful. We will definitely go back for a longer stay.

The owner is very caring. The structure is simple externally, but furnished with care and very functional. The bathroom and kitchen are extremely clean. The check-in is very easy with the owner's telephone help. The only thing that could perhaps be improved is the lack of a TV in the bedroom. The breakfast is super abundant, made with prepackaged foods and drinks of excellent quality. For this reason, I crossed out 'breakfast not provided', referring to a traditional type of breakfast. Overall, the judgment is more than positive.

Ci voglia scusare per l’ora tarda del messaggio. Everything perfect or almost, except for a small initial misunderstanding with the manager who misunderstood a question, and had a strangely polemical and unjustified reaction. The property is welcoming and spacious, very clean, close to the center, beautiful and original furniture. Missing fresh fruit at breakfast, only packaged products.

Mr. Francesco and his wife welcomed us with great courtesy. The apartment has been tastefully renovated and was really very clean.
It is located a few minutes walk from the center of this beautiful city.

Perfect B&B furnished with impeccable taste in every detail! Very kind owner who gave us valuable tips on what to visit and provided us with a useful map to help us move around the city.
