Calandrella is a beautiful place surrounded by nature: oaks, carob trees, crystalline sea, cliffs, volcanic beaches.

The building is conform with this wild landscape, built with wood, brick and stone, essential furnishings and soft architecture: the typical Mediterranean style.

A sweet buffet breakfast for our guests.

“Calandrella” is a word from the old italian language, that means “heat waves” and originate from the bird that migrated during the summer on the Tyrrhenian coast.

In Calandrella there are three rooms: Ponente, an apartment for four people, Scirocco and Libeccio, the two warm winds of the south, which are two double bedrooms.

The structure is excellent, new, charming, clean, quiet, and spacious. The only downside was the bathroom, which was a bit small and without a shower tray. The owners were very kind, and the price was exceptional. The breakfast was plentiful, and the view was spectacular. Even though it was a bit far from Maratea, it was specified in the description.

Difficult to find, lack of signs (a small sign visible from one direction of the SS18). Very steep driveway! Friendly hosts and good breakfast. Great restaurant "da Cesare" in Cersuta, 400m away on the SS18 within walking distance.

Strategic location and comfortable environment, very well-kept and maintained. Recommended to reach, a few kilometers away, the most beautiful beaches of Maratea, the pearl of the Mediterranean.

The owners of B&B Calandrella are the perfect hosts and have made our stay a very pleasant experience. We have stayed in Apartment Ponente which is very spacious and comfortable. The only downside is the noise of the trains passing nearby every 30 minutes or so, but this did not cause any problem or inconvenience us. A great place for a relaxing holiday.

Beautiful B&B with a view of the sunset over the sea. We had the small apartment "Ponente" with a small kitchen - all very nice. Very kind family managing the place, who picked us up at the train station and offered us all the support we could ask for. Lovely beach nearby, though not entirely easily accessible. Not exactly cheap, especially for the off-season. Regarding breakfast: since the B&B (mid-October) was no longer fully operational, we prepared breakfast ourselves, most ingredients were provided by the family; overall, however, much less lavish than described by other guests.

2 days that have flown by but we felt welcomed and pampered. From the furnishings to the excellent breakfast to the view from our room, a beautiful atmosphere.
