Description

Close to Saint Orontius Square, in the very heart of the city, and a mere stone's throw from the baroque Church of Saint Matthew, you will find a charming narrow lane called Vico del Sole that is home to our small B&B.

Recently restored, the building is finished in raw materials and draws its inspiration from the principles of Feng Shui. Stone, wood and wrought iron are blended harmoniously with elements of ethnic tradition.

The guest accommodations, consisting of a room with double bed and a four bedded one TV as well as en-suite bathroom, are accessed through a separate entrance to ensure your complete privacy. They are furnished in typical Mediterranean colours entirely in keeping with local tradition; like the entire house, they feature a vaulted stone ceiling made from Lecce limestone.

Hostess very kind and helpful. Breakfast with typical sweet and savory Apulian products. Cozy and spacious environment. Only flaw is the showers a bit small. In the heart of the historic center but secluded from the huge flow of people, so top location! If I returned to Lecce I would book this property again.

In a strategic position, in the center but in a quiet and peaceful little street, with independent access. We were warmly welcomed by Silvia who helped us with very useful tips. Fresh and spotlessly clean environment, decorated with character. It will be a safe haven whenever we return to Lecce.

Charming structure with high arched ceilings, very central location and, at the same time, a five-minute walk from the station. Slightly damp rooms, an inconvenience solved by the presence of a dehumidifier. Abundant and tasty breakfasts, with typical products from Lecce provided by the landlady, who has always been very helpful and kind.

After 6 years, Vico del Sole B&B has become a reference point for me. Located in a strategic and convenient location, very close to Piazza Sant'Oronzo. The room is very clean, cute and essential, and Mrs. Silvia is very sweet and very friendly. It's always a pleasure to chat with her. I will definitely come back.

Very pleasant location and welcome, but unfortunately in 2018 we did not have the possibility to watch TV or cool down with an air conditioner. However, the presence of a somewhat old fan and dehumidifier helped us rest a little.

I stayed with my boyfriend for two nights in a double room. The room was spacious, functional, clean, equipped with TV, dehumidifier, and fan. The bathroom was a bit small but comfortable and always tidy. I rated 10 for the management because the owner (very nice lady, always available) was very flexible with check-in and breakfast times, the latter delicious, varied, and abundant: fresh fruit, crispy bread, jam, and the delicious 'pasticciotti leccesi', as well as hot milk and coffee. This is the second time we have stayed here, and if the opportunity arises again, we will definitely stay here again.

Very friendly welcome from Silvia. The Vico del Sole B&B is very comfortable, ideally located and tastefully decorated, in a quiet alley, 10 minutes walk from the train station. The breakfast, varied, plentiful and made up of fresh local products, both sweet and savory, is a real treat (the homemade lemon jam: a revelation!). The only downside: the toilet/shower space is not very isolated (acoustically) from the bedroom. Our stay in this B&B contributes to the excellent impression left by the city of Lecce. Quiet location in the center, old house, renovated inside. The rooms are large with high ceilings. A bit humid, but a dehumidifier is available. In the second room, there are still 2 extra beds. The shower is very small, but there are many storage options. The toilet brush should be replaced. Towel change daily. The owner Silvia is very friendly and helpful, always approachable. The breakfast is exceptionally good.
