Description

The bed & breakfast Tenuta Calitre, located a few kilometers from Otranto, is surrounded by olive trees in the Puglia countryside, in one of the most picturesque areas of Salento. It is the perfect place for those who want to spend their vacation in complete tranquility, in a protected environment and in close contact with nature.

The structure, with an attractive look, reminds in many ways of the typical farmhouses of the area, and it is situated a few kilometers from Torre dell'Orso, a fantastic tourist destination to enjoy a wonderful beach vacation.

Other seaside resorts can be reached in just a few kilometers, such as San Foca, Sant'Andrea, Alimini lakes and Otranto. It is also an excellent starting point for those who love excursions to art cities. Lecce can be reached in just a few minutes.

We had a wonderful experience. The air conditioning in the room was very comfortable. The place was beautiful, as well as the pool, and the breakfast was superb. Also, Matteo was always available to meet every request. Although we liked it very much, next time we will come back in June instead of July, in order to find fewer people.

Estate is nothing short of exceptional, with a relaxation area with barbecue always available, with a pool suitable for children at the top. We stayed at this masseria for ten days, and I must say, we have never rested so much. We were guests in Matteo's house, the owner and his extended family, because Mussa and Barbara, who help him in managing Tenuta Calitre, are really part of a big family, kind and attentive, always ready to give a smile and exchange a few words. Matteo is a host always present but never intrusive, he takes care of the estate in every aspect, every day he had precious suggestions for us in organizing our days around Salento. An important mention is the breakfast, prepared daily by Matteo's mother. We returned from the holiday with the recipe for the tarts because they are delicious! The room was well-kept and very clean, the pool fantastic, the perfect size to refresh in particularly hot days. The location overall is really beautiful, the photos don't do it justice, it was a very pleasant surprise. At Tenuta Calitre, you breathe an air of peace and serenity, many of the customers have become regulars and only by staying here for a few nights you will understand why, even my wife and I will return soon to visit Matteo and his Family. We stayed at Tenuta Calitre for two nights... What can I say... Beautiful place, well-kept, very clean pool, large, clean, well-equipped room. Very abundant breakfast, with homemade cakes and jams with a special taste. Matteo, the manager, really a kind and helpful guy. He recommended us several places to visit and where to go to the sea, and he also left us some delicious Apulian delicacies to taste during the trip. In short, a really pleasant stay... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The B&B is surrounded by olive trees and this alone gives tranquility. The pool is a little gem. The rooms are well taken care of in every detail and clean. Matteo is an excellent host: besides kindness and availability, he provides great advice on places to visit and little spots to enjoy good food. I stayed at this property for holiday, to say the least excellent. The host Matteo was an exquisite person, very attentive and impeccable. Cleaning 10 out of 10, service 10 and praise, you feel at home. Matteo always present but never intrusive, even if you don't see him he's there ready to meet the needs and requests of guests, also giving advice on where to go or what to do. I will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

B&B chosen at random, never been so lucky. Wonderful, immersed in an olive grove, a unique peace and tranquility. 9 wonderful rooms with impeccable cleanliness. Matteo the owner with dad Vincenzo and mom Annamaria are wonderful people with a unique availability that also encourages socialization among guests. We spent 9 splendid days! Let's not forget Maya, Matteo's beautiful and sweet labrador. Oh, I brought my little dog Kira who was welcomed with great affection. I will definitely go back and above all I recommend it to those who want to spend beautiful and peaceful holidays.

I can say that it was the best accommodation we have stayed at. The rating I gave may seem high, but to understand it, I recommend you to go there and you will understand why. Beautiful property with all the comforts immersed in a beautiful garden with olive trees. Welcoming and well-kept environment.
