Porta Arpana

I was not particularly satisfied with the host, for the following reasons: 1. My registration was dealt with via whatsapp. I had to send photos of my documents and there was absolutely no other way the host would send me the instructions to enter the property if I did not send them. When I arrived nobody was there to actually register and identify me, which I think is illegal in Italy, by the way. 2. The fact that I would not find anybody upon my arrival and that this would have been the registration system was not explained on the website, otherwise I would have chosen a different place to stay. 3. The soap was missing in the bathroom; I told the host in the morning but the soap was never provided. 4. The room was not tidied, which is ok for a stay of 2 nights, but this was also never clarified on the website but it should have been, since the default is that at least beds are made and bathroom cleaned. 5. Breakfast is minimal: the host prepares espresso or cappuccino and offers a croissant. Other than this, there is a small choice of jams and packaged melba toast. To drink, water and low quality fruit juices. 6. I had booked a certain room and was given a different one. 7. There is AC in the bedroom, but the intensity cannot be regulated, which is not quite convenient.
