From the name of the Spartan founder of the city of Taranto, the ancient Taras, the only city in the world founded by the Spartans in 706 B. C., between sea and history, at the gates of the city and near the beginning of the Salento coast, the Phalanthos Taranto is an elegant and modern structure equipped with all the comforts to make your stay in the spartan city unique.
Adjacent to the remains of the ancient Greek defensive walls, the Phalanthos Taranto is located a few steps from the commercial area of ??Viale Liguria, the Court, the University, the Chamber of Commerce and the ancient Necropolis and about ten minutes from the Borgo Umbertino.
An ideal place in which to feel at home and from which to discover the precious testimonies of Taranto: an incredible journey through space and time between archaeological parks, hypogea, monuments, museums, food and wine, crystal clear sea and golden beaches and beautiful landscapes of the entire Ionian province.

The structure is brand new and very well-kept in all its environments, cleanliness is impeccable; what about the owners? They are kind and helpful already just on the phone contact and welcoming in hospitality. I recommend it for any occasion, work, leisure, travel as a couple.

We stayed at the Phalanthos Taranto for two weeks. Quiet area, very close to the center and the first beaches of the coast. Guests have access to a covered internal parking. The structure is very elegant and our room was spacious with a large balcony... not to mention the bathroom. Cleaning is carried out daily in compliance with anti-Covid regulations. Last but not least, there is Virginia: a splendid host, kind and always ready to satisfy any request from her guests. I should have mentioned her at the beginning but I wanted to leave her at the end to thank her from the bottom of my heart because even though our stay was not a real vacation, for purely personal reasons, thanks to her we felt welcomed as at home. If there will be an opportunity, we will definitely come back. Thank you.
