Description

Named after the founder of the Spartan city of Taranto, the ancient Taras, only city in the world founded by the Spartans in 706 BC, between sea and history, in the heart of the beautiful bay of Gandoli, the Phalanthos is an elegant and modern villa, with all the amenities to make your stay unique in Spartan land. Palms, pine and lemon trees frame the large garden in which to relax surrounded by the Mediterranean greenery.

The Phalanthos is a few seconds walk from the public beach and the seaside resort of Lido Gandoli reached directly in a bathing suit.

The Lido is equipped with umbrellas, tents, cabins and bathroom are spacious and charming terrace, bar, pizzeria, self service and a great restaurant to go very enjoyable relaxing moments.

And for sports: beach volleyball, beach tennis, water aerobics and swimming under the supervision of qualified instructors.

Nearby, two small shopping centers.

Furthermore, due to its location, the Phalanthos is the ideal place from which to explore the valuable evidence of Taranto Spartan, starting from nearby bay Saturated where in 706 BC Phalanthos and his Spartans landed and then founded Taras. Only the beginning of an incredible journey in space and time between archaeological sites, tombs, monuments, museums, food and wine and the beautiful scenery of the whole Ionian province.

We stayed at this property for 5 days. Let's start with the fact that we had a great time, aesthetically the property is beautiful and super welcoming! The rooms are beautiful and have many comforts, excellent cleanliness, room cleaning was done every day. Not to mention the owner Marco, truly an exceptional person with an incredible culture. Every morning, along with breakfast, he delighted us with some stories. Super kind and helpful, he recommended many beaches and many restaurants to try the local specialties. We really felt at home!

I spent 4 beautiful days. Unforgettable experience, I had the opportunity to take a horse riding lesson and it was exciting. Enza and Paola are excellent and helpful people, always available for anything. It's a relaxing place and the staff working there is reliable. It is located near the city center and close to the sea. I will come back soon. Thank you.

Brilliant place to stay, on the doorstep of the beach. The B&B is lovely and clean, and Marco, the owner, is brilliant, very friendly, and very helpful. I will definitely be coming back to stay again.
