The Masseria Serralta Boutique Bed&Breakfast is a converted old Apulian rural settlement.
Situated in one of the highest parts of the Murgia plateau, it is a remarkable example of a traditional 17th Century dwelling complex which has survived to this day perfectly preserved.
This has led the structure to be declared a heritage site by the Apulian branch of the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
Masseria Serralta consists of four Trulli apartments and a central tower – known as a Pignon – with a sloping roof. The structure has been expertly restored by the renowned expert stone-masons of the Itria Valley.
Looking onto the charming village of Locorotondo, the guesthouse sits amidst the Apulian countryside – a truly rural landscape which is a mosaic of fields bordered by dry stone walls. You will be ideally positioned between the Baroque town of Martina Franca and the Adriatic Coast, an area which sees many internationally important cultural events take place throughout the year.
In order to respect the original layout, the B&B is set up for a small number of guests. You will stay in a real trullo, just like in old times!
The homely charming atmosphere of this stone settlement will recall ancient customs of simple living and hospitality, making it the perfect place to relax, caressed by the cooling breeze of the hill.

Every morning a hearty breakfast is served in the ancient lamia based on fresh, local products and strictly seasonal fruit. The service is at the table with a selection made the previous evening (Co-vid prevention measure).
In the sweet breakfast there is always a homemade dessert, jams with fruit from our trees, a wide selection of biscuits, homemade white yogurt, cereals, toasted bread and fruit juices.
In the savory breakfast there are local cold cuts (in particular the capocollo from nearby Martina Franca), a selection of fresh cheeses that changes every day, eggs, tomato friselle and fresh vegetables.
In addition to the classic hot drinks that are freshly prepared and served.
On request, products are served for those with particular food intolerances such as gluten or lactose, but always with regard to authenticity and freshness.

From the end of May until mid-September on Tuesday or Friday evening it is possible, subject to availability and advance booking, to enjoy a dinner with a 4-course menu of typical local products prepared exclusively for you by our house chef, mamma Marina.

I am Marta and I personally manage Masseria Serralta Boutique Bed&Breakfast as owner. The property was bought by my family who has laboriously restored it to its former splendor, inaugurating in the summer of 2011. It is "family-run", very careful and accurate as it has been the recovery of the Masseria itself, with particular attention to detail and to the preservation of the original character purely rural. We tried to keep the rusticity and the semplicity of the past by linking it to the modernity of modern times, to ensure that our guests be comfortable and feel at home, with the curiosity and the convenience of exploring this land so rich in traditions. I have the passion and the desire to make available my knowledge territorial, always with discretion and respect. My intention is to make my guests a unique experience their holiday and that's why my efforts are aimed to improve each year of the aspects of the Masseria and to invest more and more in professionalism. I'm always open to discussion and criticism when they are constructive, I think the fundamental judgment of my guests in mutual respect.

I stayed at Masseria Serralta for 13 days with my family (8 and 11 year old girls). The Masseria is beautiful and very well maintained. Marta, the owner, is kind, helpful, and very discreet. The view is spectacular. Everything was truly perfect. We left our hearts there.

It seems we didn't give enough attention or let you understand the familiar welcome in our home, we are always keen to give recommendations on tours and to visit our beautiful Region and to let you live the whole holiday as a nice experience to be remembered, so the judgment without explanations is not what we expect back. We are an not an ordinary hotel without soul, we put everyday passion in what we do and it's our idea of hospitality. Our breakfast that has been rated with a sufficient 6 is almost everything homemade or with typical local products to promote our rich territory, there is a wide selection between bread, rusks, cereals, homemade cakes, homemade youghurts, homemade marmalades, fresh seasonal fruits, and there is a wide selection of salty part with different kinds of eggs cooked at the moment, salami or ham, vegetables, tomatoes friselle and so on, we think that there are not so many places with our services that can offer such a variety of products freshly homemade everyday. Definitely a must-visit, everything was really good, we can't say one bad thing about the accommodation! Marta, the host, is very kind and quite knowledgeable of the area and has recommended us some excellent places to go. The rooms are designed with taste and quite spacious, breakfast is very tasty and homemade. The property itself is stunning, the rooms are in a genuine trulli and the surrounding is also incredible! We would come back without hesitation!

Very charming Masseria Serralta, quiet, nice rooms with character, beautiful pool area and gardens, few minutes drive to Locorotondo. Host Marta is very charming and helpful, our stay was of course too short... definitely recommended for a stay in Valle d'Itria!

This was the real La Dolce Vita. Marta knows hospitality, the place is in an excellent location in the middle of nice villages. We really enjoyed our week and fell in love with Locorotondo.

The property is very well maintained and the view on Locorotondo is just awesome. A perfect swimming pool. The excellent breakfast was served outside. We enjoyed our stay very much!

A wonderful B&B located in a very peaceful environment, you only hear the crickets, from where you can visit several beautiful cities. The pool is beautiful. We stayed in the Amelia suite, truly perfect! The breakfast is very good with homemade products. I prefer a buffet but this way is also good, you can choose what you want to eat every morning. Marta is very friendly. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much Marta.

Stunning location nestled among the hills of Locorotondo, where you can fully relax, especially thanks to the fact that the structure has a limited number of accommodations and an almost exclusive use pool. My husband and I stayed at Masseria Serralta for two weeks and we can confidently say that we felt at home right away. Everything was perfect and well beyond expectations, from the room, to the breakfast, to the location and of course also the wonderful Marta who was truly too helpful. The perfect place to relax but also extremely strategic for visiting Puglia far and wide. We will definitely be back soon!

Un piccolo gioiello immerso nella campagna tra Locorotondo e Fasano, gestito con grande professionalità e gentilezza dalla signora Marta. Le camere (o meglio, le suite) sono ricavate in antichi trulli ristrutturati nel rispetto dei materiali e delle tradizioni costruttive, arredate con gusto, dotate di tutti i comfort, garantendo al tempo stesso privacy e tranquillità.
Colazione superba con prodotti locali.
Il B&B dispone anche di una piccola ma ben tenuta piscina circondata da una bellissima zona relax. Ideale per chi desidera visitare la Valle d'Itria e per godersi un soggiorno di vero riposo; le spiagge sono raggiungibili con 30-40 minuti di auto. Forse un poco caro rispetto a strutture analoghe, ma si tratta di un posto davvero speciale.

The 3 days we spent in this B&B in Locorontondo were absolutely fantastic. The property is a pure beauty. The rooms which are extremely comfortable and modern have kept the original character of the trullis. The owner of the place is discrete and in the same time always available if needed.
