Description

Our B&B Mamma Assunta offers 5 rooms:
- Double rooms
- Triple rooms
- Family room with 4-5 beds.

All rooms have a bathroom, hairdryer, air conditioning, TV, fridge, bath linen, heating; weekly cleaning, daily cleaning available upon request for an additional fee, terrace, clothesline.

Italian breakfast: croissant, pasticciotto, tarts, juices, coffee, cappuccino; upon request, savory options included in the price.

Our B&B also has a restaurant in the same building (Big Mama) with traditional cuisine, and a very affordable pizzeria where you can taste all the local and seafood dishes (which are very tasty), as well as our pizzas.

Everything is managed by our family, with Mama Assunta taking care of our kitchen, Andreas managing the pizzeria, Simone in the dining area, and finally, I, Fernando, managing the facility.

Our structure is located in a small village, Borgagne, a district of Melendugno, with a population of 2,400, surrounded by vast centuries-old olive groves. We are 4 km from the seaside town of Torre Sant'Andrea, 10 minutes from the beautiful beach of Torre dell'Orso, 10 minutes from the Alimini lakes, and 20 minutes from Otranto and Lecce.

For those who love to spend a vacation in an oasis of peace, this is the right place.

WE OFFER OUR CLIENTS TYPICAL DISHES FROM SALENTO AND SEAFOOD, WITH SPECIALTIES SUCH AS "SAGNE INCANNULATE", "ORECCHIETTE ALLA LECCESE", "SAGNE AI FRUTTI DI MARE", AND MANY OTHERS. OUR SEAFOOD AND SEASONAL VEGETABLE APPETIZERS, MAIN COURSES WITH FRESH CATCH OF THE DAY. AND FOR THOSE WHO CRAVE PIZZA, A PIZZERIA WITH A WOOD-FIRED OVEN USING QUALITY PRODUCTS. Family-run property. Everyone was very kind and friendly, ready for any eventuality: for example gluten-free foods; they always tried to accommodate my daughter with gluten-free dishes. We had half board. Breakfast was mostly sweet, with savory options available on request. The dishes were chosen by the cook Assunta; if not appreciated she was ready to offer a second choice. All were of good quality and plentiful, with special sea or land dishes. Wine, water and coffee included. The very good sandwiches and pizza from Andreas and his brother. Fernando, a great host.

Good and comfortable structure, great location to visit the beautiful beaches of Puglia 10/20 minutes away, from San Foca to Otranto. The owners are helpful and friendly. Only downside is the breakfast not suitable for children and without salty foods.

The strength of the structure are the owners: wonderful people, hard workers with a nice smile always on their faces. Thanks to the shuttle service offered by the municipality of Melendugno, which we inaugurated in this fraction, we only used the car in the evening. During the day, in fact, the shuttles connect all the beaches of Melendugno, each more beautiful than the other. Furthermore, there is also the possibility to have lunch and dinner (from pizza to fish) in the structure's restaurant. The only small downside, the absence of soap bottles in the bathroom.

Very friendly staff, always attentive to meet our needs, courteous, convenient restaurant in case you are tired and do not feel like going out. Good food including fish, meat, and pizza. The breakfast could be slightly diversified, but it reflects the style of a B&B. Within a 20 km radius, you have the opportunity to visit the beautiful beaches in the area. Very satisfied, compliments to the family business.

Intense days, we are visiting wonderful beaches with stretches of sea that have nothing to envy to the Caribbean. Special days and, for those with two children like us, also tiring; you arrive in the evening happy and eager to find an environment that reminds you of your home walls. In this B&B Mamma Assunta they manage to make us feel like family with their hospitality, kindness, and affection. Huge, clean, and airy rooms. Wide and high-quality menu, fish meat and you cannot miss trying the best pizza in the area from the great Andreas, who has also won the hearts of my little ones. I highly recommend it, it's not the kind of place that makes you feel uncomfortable or embarrassed, quite the opposite, it makes you feel at home! Do not deprive yourself of the homemade sweets, for diets there is then everything in winter!
