Located on the outskirts of Otranto, surrounded by cultivated fields and with an almost panoramic view of the sea, you will find Agriturismo Scalelle: an oasis of tranquility, hospitality, and good food. Open all year round, the farm extends over 20 hectares of green land in the heart of Salento, just 2 km from Otranto. It is the ideal place for those who want to stay in a genuine farm and enjoy typical dishes of Salento cuisine.
The farm offers different types of accommodation for its guests: studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments with 2 to a maximum of 5 beds, all independent and located on the ground floor. The accommodations are equipped with a fully equipped kitchenette, bathroom with shower, TV, air conditioning/heating, a spacious private veranda, and 24-hour Wi-Fi connection.
Guests can take advantage of a large internal parking area, a playground for children, a soccer field, a mini zoo, and many equipped green spaces. All these services, along with the friendliness and hospitality of the Merico family, offer a truly unforgettable holiday.
The breakfast is highly appreciated: every morning, a rich buffet awaits you with milk from our cows, homemade pies and cakes, cookies baked in a stone oven, all kinds of cheeses, eggs, cold cuts, and fresh fruit. Our "Buongiorno"..at zero kilometers!
For lovers of good food, in spacious outdoor areas, for more than twenty years, we have been delighting our guests with the true flavors of typical Salento cuisine. Our appetizers are the highlight: a variety of "pittule" (fried dough balls), potato croquettes, fresh cheese, pepper stew, grilled eggplants, lampascioni (wild onions), rustic pizza, and many other specialties. We also have a wide selection of first and second courses: homemade pasta such as orecchiette and maccheroncini with tomato sauce, sagne incannulate with meatballs, eggplant Parmigiana, fava bean puree with chicory, and grilled meats, rabbit and chicken alla cacciatora. All the ingredients come from our organic farm, at zero kilometers.

A week in this splendid agriturismo just 5 minutes from Otranto, very clean apartment and a structure surrounded by greenery close to everything. Super breakfasts! Sweets of all kinds, jams and especially you drink the milk from their cows that graze all day in this oasis of peace called Scalelle! We had dinner in their restaurant with the true flavors of typical cuisine, the eggplant parmigiana was very good, just like my grandmother used to make. Everyone is very friendly and always smiling. For children, it is really a nice experience with many animals, a playground, and a soccer field. Long live Salento! Long live Scalelle!

True farmhouse 5 minutes from Otranto. Everything is taken care of and super clean. Immersed in greenery and tranquility. Excellent breakfasts and dinners from a real farmhouse. The milk from their cows in the morning is indescribable, it made me feel like a child again, not to mention the many homemade cakes and the dinner in their restaurant, with products from their farm. Well done, heartfelt compliments.
