Located in a strategic position, in the heart of the southern coastal area of Salento, in Apulia, only a short 5 minute drive away from the sea and from Gallipoli; 20 minutes away from Lecce, a city famous for its baroque art treasures; and 40 minutes away from beautiful Otranto; you will live away from city traffic and stress. “La casa del sole” is a private and intimate place, sheltered from confusion.
In Sannicola, in a beautiful and recently renovated residence of the late 19th century, the B&B “La casa del sole” welcomes its guests.
The house, decorated with taste and keeping in mind the highest comfort of our guests, is a journey through vintage furnishings, contemporary design, photographs and paintings.
Amidst a stillness worthy of heaven, guests live the local life of a peaceful village near Gallipoli. Comfort, serenity and hospitality are the dimensions in which you will spend your holiday in Salento.
Inside, the house features a beautiful courtyard with garden, where plants of jasmine, bougainvillea, hibiscus and hydrangeas will happily keep you company when you wake up. In the garden, a delicious morning breakfast will be served right in the garden courtyard. Breakfast, result of the research for the best in both local and home-made food specialties will satisfy even the most refined tastes.
Breakfast is served in the garden from 8: 30 to 10: 30 am.
Rooms are available from 2 pm and check-out time is by 11 am on departure day.

Known as the "town of taste", Sannicola offers a wide range of restaurants where you can continue to indulge your palate with local specialties in the evening. It is located just 6 km from Gallipoli itself, and is close to the SS Gallipoli/Lecce road, which cuts through the Salento region and allows easy access to Lecce in less than 20 minutes and Otranto in 40 minutes.

Maurizio and Sergio are the true protagonists of this fabulous Bed and Breakfast. Always present, available, and welcoming, they accompany guests with their sympathy and professionalism. The rich breakfast is characterized by carefully chosen typical products and is a moment of sharing with other guests. The Bed and Breakfast is centrally located, clean and elegant. We stayed in the suite, beautiful, spacious, and tastefully furnished, with a wonderful terrace full of plants and flowers expertly cared for by Sergio. It is beautiful to stay in an accommodation and feel at home, and Maurizio is an exemplary host who does everything to make guests feel comfortable. Personally, we found the house fabulous, furnished with great taste and with all the necessary comforts. As for breakfast, what can I say, every day on a beautiful table in the garden there were always local sweets, fruit, and various pastries, all truly exquisite. The location is strategic, 6 km from Gallipoli and the sea but central to easily move around all the most beautiful areas of Puglia. What can I say, we never wanted to leave but hope to return soon!

We stayed five nights at the B&B and felt at home. Super hospitality as well as the location and breakfast. Charming place and attention to detail. Great area to tour Salento. We will definitely return.

When it takes about an hour to get in tune with the owners of La Casa del Sole, the place is just right! Highly recommended location, elegantly unique, the triple room spacious and excellently serviced. Excellent and abundant breakfast, curated with love every day in a different way. I will definitely come back, in the meantime I just suggest it to everyone.

We stayed for a week at La Casa del Sole and we had a wonderful time. The property was designed in the smallest details, welcoming and bright. The hosts are two wonderful people who made us feel at home right away.
