Description

The B&B Gli Ulivi dei Rueni is born on a surface of about four hectares that holds more than six hundred olive trees, mostly centuries-old. The owners, Carmelo and Anna, will welcome you with maximum availability and discretion, offering you a place to spend a holiday in absolute peace, from which you can reach the wonderful Salento coasts and the extraordinary town of Nardò in just a few minutes.

There are four characteristic studios, two elegant two-room apartments, and finally the historic and ultra-centenarian central house. Each structure is furnished with simplicity and in absolute harmony with the surrounding landscape, equipped with an independent entrance and a lovely veranda with a table and chairs where you can eat; ample parking spaces.

The entire company area is available to guests: avenues, internal paths for healthy morning walks, barbecue with olive wood for all kinds of roasts. You can also taste the seasonal fruit produced by the company's plants (figs - prickly pears - almonds - etc).

Breakfast is not provided as the structures have a kitchenette equipped with everything you need (hob, oven, fridge, crockery).

Bed places: double and single; bathroom with shower, air conditioning, television, linen.

We stayed at Gli Ulivi dei Rueni for 8 nights and left a piece of our hearts there. The cottage is clean and equipped with everything you need (towels, sheets, dishes, various pots and pans), the shared washing machine is very useful, while the outside area is well-kept, with a special mention to the pool and the children's playground, brand new and really beautiful. Mr. Carmelo and his daughter are wonderful people, ready to answer any questions and very polite, always discreet. The location is excellent as with a short car journey (average 20 minutes) you can reach the most beautiful beaches of Salento (we traveled along the coast from Gallipoli to Punta Prosciutto); in 20 minutes you can also reach Lecce, in 40 Otranto, and the historic center of Nardò is also worth a visit. We hope to be guests at this farmhouse again next year because it's really worth it. Thank you so much, Francesca, Enrico, and Giorgia.

What can I say, we had a great time. The agriturismo is well maintained and offers spacious, clean mini apartments with all the necessary comforts. The price is fair. The location is strategic and the silence of the countryside is an added value. The pool is simply superb. Carmelo, the manager, is a discreet and friendly person. Go for it.

Clean, cozy and fully equipped house. The outdoor space is ideal for enjoying a nice barbecue. Meeting Carmelo and being able to enjoy the Oleandro cottage was very pleasant: he is a true host, attentive, discreet always ready to satisfy any request, to indicate the beaches to go to, the roads to reach them. It seemed to us to be in a luxurious residence surrounded by a park of olive trees, lemons, flowers, and beds of aromatic plants, and one of the most fantastic things was to walk in the moonlight in silence around the cottages, listening to the sounds of the night birds with our noses up. It was a pleasure to feel welcomed and pampered, once you get to know him it is impossible not to come back to visit him!

Spacious apartment in the middle of the olive grove. The manager was very kind and helpful. There was the possibility to freely eat figs and prickly pears and some vegetables from the garden. The apartment is a 2-minute drive from the center of Nardò and a 15-minute drive from the most beautiful beach in Salento (Porto Selvaggio).

We stayed at the 'Gli Ulivi dei Rueni' farmhouse for two weeks and we had a great time. Carmelo's hospitality is definitely one of the best memories we took with us: he has always been present and punctual for any need. Let yourself be intoxicated by the sweet scent of flowers and fruits, let yourself be caressed by the sea breeze and immerse yourself in the tranquility of this rural place that regenerates you in body and spirit. You will find the comfort you were looking for, because the entire structure and the surrounding environment are carefully maintained down to the smallest details with great dedication. In particular, you will find a big heart: Carmelo's, who delighted us every day with the fruits of his land, apricots, mulberries, oranges, melons, tomatoes, eggplants, peppers, as well as with the precious oil that flows from his centuries-old olive trees. A little paradise that I recommend everyone to discover, just a few steps from the crystal clear waters of the sea and cultural sites for those who also love to delve into the history and art of this splendid region that is Puglia. At the end of the vacation, the parting will be tough: we have grown fond of Carmelo, a discreet and genuine person, and his dog Jack, a big black puppy, who ran to meet us in the morning and waited for us every evening upon our return. He watched over us and provided good company. I thank Carmelo for giving us pleasant emotions during this unforgettable holiday in Salento; I thank Puglia for the warm welcome, helpfulness, and kindness of its people. We will return soon because we already miss the Eden I have described.

The dear Mr. Carmelo (known as Meluccio) treated us like true friends. We felt at home. A magnificent olive grove with centuries-old trees guarantees a unique peace and tranquility. The accommodations are very spacious, well air-conditioned, and equipped with very useful mosquito nets and all the comforts necessary to ensure a beautiful holiday. We also decided to have dinner inside the structure, using a splendid barbecue that allows you to prepare fantastic grills. The farmhouse is less than 15 minutes from the coasts of Santa Caterina and Santa Maria al Bagno, and the connecting roads are very convenient. The friendliness and attention of Mr. Carmelo are the glue of this agriturismo that we discovered, where we will definitely return and warmly recommend to everyone. Fabio and Gianna.

What can I say beyond what has already been said by others? Nothing more, except that during our stay we were completely alone, with our dog and the two at home. Beautiful in one way, but if someone suffers from loneliness. We nevertheless stayed until the end and if we had had more days off, we would have stayed even longer.

Just 3 minutes from the center of Nardò, you arrive at this beautiful olive grove. The small apartments are very nice, spotless, and complete with everything you need to cook when you do not feel like going out for dinner. Moreover, you can comfortably eat on the external veranda in complete tranquility. The parking space next to the house and the convenience of not having any time constraints give everyone maximum freedom. Mr. Carmelo is very kind and has a constant and attentive care of the structure, which is overall very pleasant and tidy. The little dogs Biagio and Topino are very cute and good company! Highly recommended for young and old who want to spend a nice vacation in the Salento area with maximum comfort! It has been a pleasure.

To those who love nature and tranquility, we recommend this B&B immersed among the olive trees, away from the confusion but, at the same time, convenient to reach some of the most beautiful beaches in Salento in 10-15 minutes. The apartments are newly built, spacious, equipped with everything that may be needed in a house and, very importantly, they are clean. Beautiful structure, comfortable and new apartments located in the open countryside surrounded by olive trees. Definitely a perfect place to relax, but also situated in an excellent location that allows you to reach the most beautiful beaches comfortably and in a short time due to the proximity of fast roads.
