Description

Fontana Vecchia offers its guests the possibility to stay in stone trulli or rooms with wooden ceilings and private en-suite bathrooms. Each living unit has an independent entrance through the Bed and Breakfast formula.

There are also two special solutions available: a Trullo suite with a Jacuzzi for 2 people, kitchenette, fireplace, and air conditioning, and an independent Trullo/apartment consisting of a trullo with a fireplace, a large stone room with a wooden loft, a bathroom with a wooden ceiling, a kitchen equipped with a "cummersa" roof, and a courtyard.

Breakfast, both sweet and savory, is served outdoors, in the living room or in the room, and is carefully prepared using homemade jams made with fruits from the trees surrounding the house, grown organically.

Furthermore, for those who love to relax with a good book, books of various genres are available.

Upon request, the barbecue can be used.

The owners, always present, are available to provide advice on places to visit and to meet guests' requests.

We serve a sweet and savory "continental" breakfast with typical local products as follows:
- 1 cheese (stracciatella, ricotta, burrate, mozzarella, etc.)
- butter
- 1 salami (capocollo, raw or cooked ham, etc.)
- 2 homemade jams from the fruits of our garden (cherries, figs, peaches, apples,
quince, etc.)
- fruit juice
- American coffee
- Italian espresso coffee
- milk
- you
- bread
- rusks / cereals
- homemade cake / artisanal biscuits
- croissants or similar
- omelette or scrambled eggs
- almost always seasonal fruit (possibly from our garden, strictly organic).

Everything was perfect. The location is close to beautiful tourist areas but far enough away to be completely peaceful. We were perfectly welcomed. The comfort is great without being excessive. A place to recommend without hesitation.

Nice and welcoming property, although, given the season, the outdoor areas were not usable. Definitely worth returning in summer. The host is welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was plentiful and the location excellent.

Magnificent setting in the middle of nature and a very calm environment. The welcome could be improved. Quite hasty without many explanations. On the other hand, a very nice evening was organized by the couple who serve breakfast, which allowed a pleasant moment of conviviality. The same gentleman who welcomed us and who is apparently a DJ played the music a little too loud, which hindered conversations. In any case, the setting and the tranquility of this place quickly make these small indiscretions fade away.

Good morning. We stayed from the 20th to the 22nd of this month at the facility. Upon arrival, we were welcomed courteously. We open the rooms and find the trullo Alcova, a fantastic, well-furnished, and clean room. Of course, we cannot expect to find large rooms since the conformity of the trulli is all medium to small sizes. I can only say that it was warm and welcoming. The breakfast offered with fresh local products is plentiful. The structure is nestled in greenery and offers a unique tranquility. A small note on the seriousness of the managers: on the day of departure, caught up in the long return journey and returning to the usual routine, we were contacted by the owner. Thinking about that strange call, they immediately informed us that they had found a valuable camera that we had left in the room. They promptly made themselves available to ensure that I could get it back home. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything.

The place is magnificent. We stayed there in December and I believe that during the warm season it is a paradise. The owner was extremely kind. The breakfast he served us directly in the room was wonderful, with local products like mozzarella balls, ham, frittata, and typical desserts. I highly recommend it.

I did not give a score of 10 in general, only because of the bad weather, since it was cold. You may ask what this has to do with it, even though they reassured us that the heating would be working, the temperature inside the premises was a bit cold. This is the only advice I would give, but for the rest, only praises for both the structure and the owners who were very kind.

Very good accommodation with nice owners, breakfast according to wishes, sweet or rustic. The access road (300 meters) is a poor dirt road, but it is away from the street! Very beautiful trullo buildings! Wonderful garden next to the pool! We would gladly come back.

Very good stay in this property. The accommodation in Trulli was very good and the whirlpool bath very pleasant. Nice pool. We had a bit of trouble finding the accommodation (network/GPS problem?) and drove around the surroundings for a while before getting there. Staff a bit indifferent but kind. Breakfast was acceptable, nothing special, and perhaps not varied enough. But we would gladly return to this accommodation.

Charming B&B in the middle of the countryside. Exactly what we expected and as described. I recommend to stop by and enjoy the calm and peaceful environment. Well located to visit the small villages around and the well known village of Alberobelo.

Friendly staff. Impeccable breakfast with local typical products. Typical Apulian structure and modern pool. Well located and easy to reach. We will definitely come back. The only flaw was the lack of an air conditioner inside the apartment because it was very hot and we 'solved' thanks to the presence of a slightly broken fan that saved us in the hottest hours. I would also suggest putting umbrellas by the pool because the gazebo, being almost always occupied, does not allow everyone to shelter from the sun and also to have a bit of privacy.

Experience on the trullo truly unique. We had the suite which is a real apartment, complete with everything you need. We probably missed a bit the air conditioner inside, but on the other hand it was really hot days...over 36°...and yet it was quite bearable. The beautiful pool, located in the middle of the countryside...breathtaking scenery. To be redone!
