I have always imagined and desired my B&B to be just like it was born in Northern Europe. Guest in a family for overnight stay and breakfast at a great price. Today, this dream has become a reality!
I will be delighted to welcome you to my B&B, guaranteeing you the utmost tranquility, color, comfort, and maximum cleanliness of the surroundings.

Furthermore, my husband Gianni and I will be at your disposal to provide you with all the necessary information and put you in touch with the partners affiliated with our establishment.

Our goal is to make you feel at home.

All that remains for me is to give you a WELCOME and wish you a pleasant stay.

The Bed & Breakfast Donatella is located in the center of Polignano a Mare, on the central Via Martiri di Dogali 73. Its location allows you to reach any place on foot.

Such as: the historic center of the city, the wonderful balconies overlooking the sea, the sea itself, the statue of Domenico Modugno, the contemporary art museum - Pino Pascali foundation, unique of its kind in Puglia, and many other beauties. Furthermore, the train station (FS) is only 5 minutes away from the establishment. The construction work on my house and therefore also on the structure was completed at the end of 2020.

My B&B has three rooms.

The Gianni room, furnished in a sober and elegant manner, offers accommodation for 1-2 people. Equipped with an autonomous Mitsubishi air conditioner, 32" LED TV, fridge with welcome drink, and free WiFi. High window and electrically operated portholes with blackout curtains. The flooring is made of decorated vintage cement.

Mariantonietta room
Elegance and refinement come together in the dictates of modern style. A very spacious and bright room furnished in a sober and elegant manner, with a balcony overlooking one of the main streets. Approximately 23 square meters, it can accommodate 2-4 people. High vaulted ceilings, vintage cement flooring. The room is equipped with an autonomous Mitsubishi air conditioner, fridge with welcome drinks, 32" LED TV, a comfortable sofa that can easily be transformed into a double bed, and free WiFi. The en-suite bathroom is equipped with a shower, bidet, wall-mounted hairdryer, chromotherapy, and towels. Soundproof and energy-efficient windows.

Francesco room
Spacious and bright, it accommodates 2-3 people. Equipped with an autonomous Mitsubishi air conditioner, 32" LED TV, fridge with welcome drinks, free WiFi, and a balcony. The flooring is made of decorated vintage cement. Soundproof and energy-efficient windows. Bathroom with shower, bidet, wall-mounted hairdryer, chromotherapy, and towels.

We enjoyed our stay. The property is a few minutes from the station and a few minutes' walk from the old town. The room was nice and spacious, the host was great, and the breakfast was amazing. Keep in mind that the rooms are on the second floor of an old building, so there is a bit of a climb with suitcases. One suggestion for improvement: there was no wine opener in the room. The host brought one to us, so this is just to highlight that we enjoyed our stay.

Vi ringrazio immensamente per aver recensito la mia struttura. Ma ci tengo a precisare che le camere di tutta la struttura sono situate al 1° piano. La struttura è degli anni sessanta ma recentemente ristrutturata, il pavimento di tre camere è in cementine d'epoca originali e arredato con stile semplice ad elegante. Per accedere alla struttura c'è una sola rampa di scale con gradini larghi e una poltroncina montascale che su richiesta degli ospiti è utile, sia per le persone, che per i bagagli - il cavatappi, per ragioni strettamente di sicurezza, viene dato personalmente su richiesta dell'ospite. È stato un vero piacere ospitarvi e spero di vedervi ancora. Saluti Donatella

The property is in a strategic location, out of the crowds but within a few minutes' walk you are in the center of Polignano and just as close to the train station. Very welcoming and, above all, clean. Breakfast, served in the room, is varied and plentiful. The owner, Donatella, makes you feel at home, always providing useful recommendations on restaurants, places and various activities which all lived up to expectations. Everything was perfect! We were welcomed by Donatella who explained everything to us to ensure an excellent stay. The small rented room has no window but this is not a problem because everything is designed to make you feel at home. It is extremely clean. The accommodation is ideally located in the town centre and we were able to park at the train station car park without problems (a 5-minute walk). The breakfast was delicious and prepared with great care by Donatella. Polignano is a beautiful small town. We loved our stay!

10 stars – we LOVED this place! From the moment we arrived at Donatella’s Bed and Breakfast, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. Donatella was incredibly helpful—always available for questions, local recommendations, and sharing her love of the area. Breakfast was absolutely perfect and made with so much care. I’m still dreaming about the warm croissants—with Nutella on the side! I don’t usually like croissants, but these totally won me over. And the fresh figs? Such a special and unique treat that made the morning feel extra magical. Parking felt a little challenging at first, but we found public parking nearby that worked great for the rest of our stay. The only small piece of feedback is the number of fragrance diffusers throughout the property. For someone sensitive to scents, it was a bit overwhelming. All in all, this was an unforgettable experience. We truly loved our stay and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

Donatella's residence is very clean and located a 10-minute walk from the city center, so very close to the historic district and places of interest. The room was spacious, air-conditioned and well soundproofed, and the breakfast, served in the room, was sumptuous. We were able to park our car for free in the train station parking lot, a 5-minute walk away.

For the price, this bed & breakfast is the best in Polignano. The rooms are well decorated, quiet, have functioning air conditioning and recently renovated bathrooms.\n\nWhat really makes this place special is Donatella. I have never had anyone go as much out of their way for their guests as she did for us. She got in the car with us to direct us to the free parking lot (3 minutes walking), used the chair lift for our luggage so we didn't have to carry the luggage up the stairs, and she helped us find a dry cleaner that would return our clothes to us the next day. On top of that, she prepared a full spread breakfast including fresh croissants, fresh fruits, yogurt, granola, and coffee. If you are vegan like we are, Donatella prepared us a fully vegan breakfast which was very good!\n\nThe place is spotless and it's in such a great part of the beautiful city of Polignano Amare! There are other places to stay that may be closer to the water and offer nice views, but the price, location and service offered here are second to none.

Location was superb, for easy access to the old town - also the train station and inter-city bus stop (at least Flixbus). Also, the sumptuous 'surprise' breakfast delivered on a trolley to the room. \nAbove all, the sheer warmth of Donatella made us feel not only very welcome on arrival - also felt like parting with family, when we left. \nWould highly recommend, especially for couples who value high quality and service standards.

The owner Donatella welcomed and assisted us in the best possible way, advising us on where to eat and how to reach the places we wanted to visit. My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in September and absolutely loved it. We arrived earlier than check-in but were welcomed inside and made to feel at home while they helped us understand the area and plan some activities. Donatella and her husband are the kindest hosts I have ever met. They did everything they could to make our stay memorable and comfortable. The breakfast is amazing and is delivered to your door every morning exactly when you requested. Such delicious baked goods and fruits, plenty to get you through the day and even more to take with you for snacks on the beach, etc. I would love to stay here again.

There are numerous bars and restaurants just a walk away. The place itself is fully equipped for a comfortable stay. Donatella and her husband were super nice. First impressions are everything and you really only get one chance at it. Donna Donatella knows how to make a lasting impression! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with kindness and friendliness. She seated us with a drink and a snack and explained the details of the stay, answering many of our questions. Her passion and attention to her house (and business) are highly commendable. During our 2-night stay, we felt free to message her at any time for anything. She provided us with fantastic recommendations for restaurants and activities. The homemade breakfast was plentiful (great for teenage boys) and exceeded our expectations. Education, customer respect, welcoming, availability, love for their work, this is what we found when crossing the threshold of this B&B. Things that unfortunately you don't always have the opportunity to find in many establishments, where the only purpose they have is profit. The structure can only reflect the people who manage it: very clean, attention to detail, spacious and comfortable bathroom, very abundant sweet/savory breakfast, with the addition of local products. Excellent value for money, considering that you are just a few steps from the historic center of Polignano. Highly recommended!

The structure is located a stone's throw from the magnificent center of Polignano a Mare, with the possibility of free parking nearby. The room was spacious and comfortable. Impeccable cleanliness. This wonderful bed and breakfast located in the center of the marvelous Polignano a Mare left us speechless. A clean and modern environment (recently built), attention to detail. A plentiful breakfast with a wide choice: from coffee to milk, to sweets prepared with care and love by the owner, ending with fruits and cold cuts with cheeses. The extremely kind and helpful owner gave us a complimentary bottle of Primitivo as we were there for our sixth wedding anniversary, with an attached greeting card. The maximum of friendliness and availability you will find in this structure with Gianni and Donatella and their little assistants. UNIQUE breakfast, spacious and comfortable rooms, free snacks, tour guide Gianni with tasting of local products and knowledge of the territory, all included in the room cost, which personally, I found to be the lowest among all the structures in the requested period. We went to the Donatella B&B to spend a weekend in Polignano and we can say we had a really good time. I stayed with some friends at this B&B for a vacation and we were immediately greeted by the owners as if we had known each other for years! We immediately noticed their friendliness that makes you feel at home. The rooms are arranged and well-maintained in detail. Breakfast always top-notch with fresh food and different things every day. Inside the room, there is also a minibar always kept full by the owners and which you can use freely. Furthermore, the owners are always available for everything, always ready to help you if there is a problem or for information on where to go. I was pleasantly surprised by all this because it is not easy to find places like this, as often in other B&Bs you are left to yourself. If I were to return to that area, I would definitely choose this place. Highly recommended!

Extremely clean structure, conveniently located near a large free parking lot, close to the historic center, very kind owners ready to help you with every need. The spacious room with balcony is quiet despite being very close to where the evening entertainment starts. In the morning, a very kind Donatella delivers a generous breakfast outside the room door, notifying with a light touch on the door at the chosen time by the guest with what you desire most every day many extra things that can be taken for the daily trip that will take place. Among the beauties of Polignano, I would add the B&B Donatella! Located in the center of Polignano, a stone's throw from the most beautiful beaches and a few km from the characteristic places of Puglia. Extremely clean rooms, attention to the smallest details, super abundant breakfast with delicacies made with love by the exquisite Donatella! We also had the opportunity to use food bags to bring fruit, snacks or anything we didn't eat. The room is equipped with a minibar with snacks and drinks offered by the sweet owners. In this B&B you won't feel like guests, but an integral part of the family because Donatella, her husband Gianni, and their two splendid children will welcome you as if you were visiting relatives! Unfortunately, the cold numbers cannot express the human warmth received at this fantastic facility, which is already excellent for its location, cleanliness and the rich breakfast entrusted to the wise hands of Donatella, who has proven to be a skilled pastry chef, starting with the strictly artisanal croissants served every morning (what a good morning!). From places to see to restaurants to eat, every possible information and assistance will be given to you at the facility, which embodies in the purest sense the idea of a B&B, a place where you feel like guests of a friend, obviously not intrusive, and not just simple patrons treated with emotional detachment, as has happened to me in other hotels and bed and breakfasts. Without taking anything away from the kind and meticulous Donatella, attentive to every detail and to the prescriptions due to COVID-19 which certainly made the management of the facility more burdensome, I must spend sincere words of praise also for the super-husband Gianni, a real volcano of energy and a person of unique sympathy and humanity, unfindable in today's times! There is certainly also his hand in the success of the idea that with many sacrifices they have been able to carry forward, with results, as I see from the reviews, excellent and widely shared. Fantastic to say the least. I can tell you right away that impeccable management like that of Donatella's bed and breakfast in Polignano a Mare, you won't find anywhere else. Simplicity, familiarity, cordiality, and friendship. The girl Donatella (the owner of the eponymous bed and breakfast) is undoubtedly a very kind, friendly, and very nice person. Always available to guests' needs. The "Francesco" room, where I stayed for a week, is very spacious, and even more so for me, having stayed alone. Equipped with all the necessary comfort and more (like the shower with chromotherapy) and in addition, you can enjoy a very abundant and succulent breakfast, which is served in the room, another top treat. Donatella prepares cookies, cakes, and croissants with her own hands. Yum yum. By the way, a friendship has been established from the first day, precisely because Donatella is truly a simple and down-to-earth person, she never makes you feel just a guest, but she makes you feel at home. Highly recommended, super highly recommended.

The structure is well positioned just outside the historic center. There are paid parking spaces below and a large free one a few hundred meters adjacent to the train station. Donatella is fantastic, caring and helpful, the fairy godmother of great and abundant breakfasts. The structure has all the comforts of a high-end hotel room and despite other rooms being occupied during our stay, we didn't hear any noise. If we go back to that area, we will definitely return and in any case I recommend it.

It is rare to go to a Bed and Breakfast and not have anything negative to say. The undisputed beauty of Polignano and its historic center, literally steps away, is accompanied by details that make the difference such as impeccable cleanliness, public parking a short distance away, the whirlpool shower, and the excellent value for money. Another excellence of the place is the abundant breakfast, entirely homemade with excellent sweets prepared by the very kind owner, fresh and dried seasonal fruit grown by family members. Last but not least, the extreme kindness and pleasant friendliness of the owners Donatella and Gianni, unique masters of hospitality and truly exquisite people! You will experience this feeling when taking the excursion with their brand new boat, where you will feel welcomed as part of the Family with lunch offered by them and with the many explanations and tips on places to visit (you can imagine Polignano seen from the sea). They live in the same house with their children and their advice on beaches and restaurants (always excellent) allowed us to have a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended! We will be back soon.

We spent 4 days in the wonderful Polignano a Mare staying at the B&b of Mrs. Donatella who immediately proved to be an extremely kind and courteous person. Everything perfect: the room and the bathroom are spotless, everything works perfectly, comfortable bed, air conditioning, hydromassage shower, TV in the room and, for any eventuality, Donatella is always available. A special mention deserves her exquisite breakfasts: coffee, milk, fruit juices, rusks, wafers, tarts, small cakes, various packaged items, croissants, dried fruit and fresh fruit and many delicious things made at home by her, plus she always adds something that can be taken away for lunch or a snack on the beach (sandwiches or focaccia, for example). After a tiring day, you can also relax at the Bed and Breakfast with a hydromassage. I will come back and recommend it to those reading this review.

Excellent welcome from Donatella and Gianni who, together with their very friendly children, have helped create a peaceful period of stay in the beautiful Polignano, a city waiting to be discovered. I found Gianni's suggestions very helpful in exploring new hidden corners of this wonderful Puglian town. Gianni gave us the opportunity to take a fascinating boat tour, giving us a delightful sea view of the very particular coast of Polignano and Monopoli. And Donatella spoiled us with a dream breakfast. Wonderful weekend. We highly recommend this stay. Tonino and Luciana.

We were welcomed by the very kind Mrs. Donatella and the smile of her fantastic little girl. She immediately showed us the comfortable room and was always available to provide us with information about the most beautiful places in Polignano and where to eat. The structure is well positioned, as it is possible to reach the beautiful historic center and the main street on foot. We had a great time, and if one day I have to return to Polignano a Mare, I will not hesitate to contact the B&B Donatella.

An unforgettable vacation in what is undoubtedly the pearl of Puglia, the fantastic Polignano a Mare. After careful consideration, my husband and I contacted this B&B managed by Donatella and Gianni. Two truly fantastic people. A family welcome, excellent availability, and a comfortable environment.
