One of the main advantages of this B&B is its location. It is conveniently situated almost exactly between Bari Nuova and La Città Vecchia. Bus number 16 runs directly from the airport via Piazza Garibaldi, and the stop is right in front of the building entrance. If you don’t mind a 45-minute ride on a city bus, this is a very convenient and inexpensive option (in February 2026 the ticket cost €1.50). The downside of such a central location is the almost constant traffic noise. At night you may occasionally be woken by enthusiastic drivers — after all, Bari is an Italian city. Overall, Dimora Fimabechi left a good impression. However, it was the first B&B on our trip, and afterwards we stayed in three more places in Apulia. Inevitably, some comparisons followed, and in that comparison this property felt a bit less comfortable than the others. The accommodation itself is perfectly functional, although there are some visible signs of normal wear. Our check-in experience was a little confusing. After confirming the reservation, we were informed that Marco would meet us. However, upon arrival it turned out that we needed to collect the keys from a lockbox. Before that, we had to communicate via the intercom. The lady guiding us by phone from the entrance to the key box spoke limited English, and we speak limited Italian, so it took us some time to finally get into the apartment. It would probably be easier simply to explain the actual check-in procedure in advance so guests know what to expect. At the same time, we were asked to send copies of our ID documents via WhatsApp, which made us a little cautious from a personal data perspective. Overall, this accommodation can work well for a short stay of a couple of days in the center of Bari, especially for travelers who value a convenient location and easy access from the airport. With a few small improvements to the check-in process, this could be an even more comfortable place to stay.

The room had all the amenities for a short stay and the cleaning was thorough. We also found a coffee machine with pods, salt, sugar and coffee in the kitchen. A hairdryer and a courtesy kit were also provided in the bathroom. The room was on the first floor with a small flight of stairs, very convenient even for people who may have difficulty climbing many stairs, and I would also mention the small balcony, which is a nice bonus. The self check-in was done without problems. Moreover, the accommodation is very convenient if arriving by bus 16 from the airport, as the stop is right in front of the building. The historic center and the port are about 15 minutes on foot, which we found pleasant given the quite mild temperatures even at the end of October in Bari. Definitely recommend.

We stayed at Dimora Fimabechi in the room "La Philly". The room is divided into several areas and is very comfortable and very well maintained. Furthermore, the location of Dimora is excellent, in front of the bus stops. The staff is very kind and very helpful. It is undoubtedly a property to recommend.
