Description
Demetra is an entire ground-floor apartment on Via Calefati, in the Murat district: the 19th-century grid-layout center, three blocks from Bari Vecchia.
You enter directly into a single large space, with ceilings almost four meters high and a large window with blackout curtains. There is a double bed and a double sofa bed, accommodating up to four people. It is not a room in a shared house: for your entire stay, it is yours and no one else's — no reception, no curfew, no next-door neighbors.
The kitchenette is not an afterthought: a real stovetop, microwave, sink, and full tableware. For the morning, a coffee machine, kettle, and milk frother. The bathroom area is divided in two, with a washer-dryer in the anteroom and a large shower with chromotherapy.
Upon arrival, there is always someone to welcome you in person: we carry out the legally required identification and give you the lock code, valid for your entire stay. From that moment, you can come and go as you please, without carrying keys.

I prepared this house thinking about how I like to be hosted: good quality linens, a shower that actually works, the coffee machine ready in the morning. Simple things, done right.
During your stay, I remain at your disposal: you can reach me by phone or on WhatsApp, and I reply the same day. A restaurant recommendation, making a reservation, directions to get somewhere — just ask, no problem.

ON FOOT: Via Sparano, the pedestrian shopping street, is 6 minutes away. The Swabian Castle 8, the Cathedral of San Sabino 10. The Margherita and Petruzzelli Theatres 11, as well as Piazza Mercantile, the square for an aperitif. The Araldo di Crollalanza seafront 12, the Basilica of San Nicola 13. At the fish market on Molo Sant'Antonio, early in the morning, fishermen sell their freshly landed catch: 15. In Via Arco Basso, there are ladies making orecchiette pasta right in the street. Just outside the door, you will find bars, bakeries, and supermarkets in every direction.
GETTING THERE: Bari Centrale station is a 12-minute walk. Karol Wojty?a Airport is 9 km away and is connected to the station by train, taking fifteen to twenty minutes. Those arriving by car will find paid street parking and the Garage San Pio 280 meters away, open twenty-four hours a day.
DAY TRIPS BY TRAIN: Polignano a Mare is half an hour away, Monopoli forty minutes, Alberobello and its trulli about an hour and a half, as is Matera and its Sassi.
