Corte Kalìnora (from Greek "Kalì n'òra" literally "Court of the good hour") is a historic residence dating back to the late 18th to early 19th century, restored to its original architecture after a careful and patient renovation, just completed, which has returned it to its former splendor and the essential and contemporary style that characterizes it today.
The heart of the house is the typical "Salentine courtyard" which is accessed through the characteristic "simportu", a covered atrium with a star-shaped vault in local stone and white tuff.
Two ancient staircases, also in local stone, lead to the guest rooms and an open terrace, an ideal setting for a fantastic blue sky during the day and illuminated by stars at night.
Corte Kalìnora has three rooms with independent access and private bathrooms:
- two standard rooms (Kalìmera and Kalìspera), both with a king-size double bed, wardrobe and desk console;
- one superior room (Kalìnitta), larger in size, with a king-size double bed, wardrobe, relaxation area with a large sofa bed, coffee table, and a large sideboard.
The rooms at Corte Kalìnora are designed to offer maximum comfort and well-being through a choice of quality furnishings, with a deliberately minimal style and simple yet refined design.
They are all equipped with a silent air conditioner with air ionizer, 32" LED monitor, safe, vanity mirror, mini fridge bar, professional hairdryer, centralized heating, WiFi connection, and window mosquito nets.
The furniture, with defined geometric and linear shapes, is handcrafted in fine solid wood, as are the exterior fixtures and interior doors.
Along with the white rough plastered walls, the natural veins of the wood and the soft colors of the textiles, each room gives the guests the sensation of a warm embrace and a pleasant feeling of lightness.
To ensure the best rest, all beds are large in size, have pure latex mattresses with energy hypoallergenic covering, 4 soft cloud-like pillows, and orthopedic bed bases with wooden slats.
The mini fridges are noiseless with zero emissions, and the air conditioners, besides being extremely quiet, are equipped with a device that ionizes the air, purifying it from impurities and allergens.
The bathrooms are all equipped with clean design sinks and sanitary ware with essential lines, transparent glass shower cabins with a large rain showerhead, and chrome-plated faucets.
The textiles, both for bedding and bathroom, are all made of pure cotton.

At Corte Kalìnora, we like to pamper our guests by offering them only the best. Therefore, we would never dream of starting your day by serving commercially packaged products from large retailers, as required by regional regulations for bed and breakfasts and guesthouses. This would deprive us and you of the pleasure of savoring those delicacies, which are the pride and joy of our territory.
For this reason, always in full compliance with the law, including HACCP regulations, we have chosen to provide a high-quality breakfast, produced and served at the best pastry shops and bars in the city. All of them are conveniently located, even within walking distance, just a few steps from our property.
In the pleasant and relaxed setting of the squares and monuments of the center, you can enjoy your breakfast, even outdoors, in complete relaxation and without time limits, simply by presenting our daily coupon, which entitles you to three servings per person.
The choice of the "Bed & Breakfast" formula with breakfast included is always optional and incurs an additional cost of 8 euros per coupon.

A small gem in a town within reach of all points of interest. The owners are truly kind, welcoming and always available to suggest itineraries based on the variations of the winds, which in Salento should be taken into account. The property is beautiful and very well-kept. Highly recommended.

The owners, Salvatore and Mary, show a kindness and availability that is unique, rare to find. Corte Kalìnora is a unique bed and breakfast, offering a superior quality service and a level of customer care that I have never experienced in other bed and breakfasts. The staff, always available and courteous, was constantly at our disposal to make us fully enjoy the experience. The location, a small village away from the tourist chaos, is strategically positioned so that beaches, Lecce, and Otranto can always be reached within 15-20 minutes. I highly recommend it.

Corte Kalìnora is a very amazing and romantic location. Beautiful rooms, very clean and super friendly host. It is perfectly located to explore the Salento. If you wish, you can receive many suggestions from Salvatore for each day on what to do and where to go. For breakfast, you can choose a different café in Martano every day or go out for dinner.

Corte Kalìnora offers a very convenient location that allows you to move to the major centers in a few minutes and thus avoid the city's hustle and bustle, moreover Martano is a very cute village with a beautiful historic center absolutely worth visiting. Salvatore and Mary welcome you into their home and make you feel at home in every way. Kind, professional, who love their work and their land and convey it 100%. Speaking with Salvatore he said a sentence that struck me, that their goal is not only to host but to make you live an experience and I can only fully agree. Super friendly staff upon arrival, I am greeted with coffee and cookies. The room was a gem, all new and super clean, you could even eat off the floor. But for Salvatore and Mary, this cleanliness is daily, for them it's not a job, but a passion. I can't wait to return to this wonderful magical place.

Corte Kalìnora is a truly fantastic place to stay, managed excellently by the splendid Salvatore and Mary. Martano is in a perfect position to enjoy Salento and the village itself is quite pleasant; a chat with the baker in the morning, with the bartender in the evening. Some truly excellent restaurants and rather low prices. Highly recommended.
