Description

Torre San Giovanni, the Ugento marina, ia a seaside place in Salento on the Ionian Sea, in the province of Lecce. It is just 3 meters above sea level and won the Blue Flag three times. So it is a favorite destination for many tourists in summer.

The structure, a lovely house just 400 m from the sea, enchanted Stefania and Salvatore, a young couple always looking for exciting new business.

An adventure that saw them personally involved in a massive restructuring of the building. Thus Casa Poesia Bed & Breakfast was born, with the idea of providing warmth and hospitality to people who want to know Salento and its "poetry".

The poetry, in fact, the leitmotif of the structure: you breathe poetry in each room, well-groomed in the smallest details, in the breakfast time, prepared with care and dedication, in facilities designed to offer only the best, in welcoming.

All the rooms and furniture have been preserved by a careful and thorough restoration in the interest of full reuse aimed at enhancing the existing.

The courtyard, large and rich of trees, welcomes guests in a family atmosphere and it is suited for a delightful relaxation area.

Three rooms at the B&B: "Amore" with walls scarlet, "Mare" with sea-colored walls, "Terra" with warm tones walls like our earth. Spacious, bright, equipped with every comfort, the rooms can be double, triple, quadruple, and it is possibile the addition of a cot for the little babies.

Each room has a private bathroom with large shower, LCD TV, air conditioning, heating, mini-bar.

The B&B also has a large dining room where a sweet and savory breakfast will be served each morning according to the needs and special requests of our guests. Guests can make use of self-catering kitchen facilities during the day, upon request and subject to availability.

Services: laundry service, luggage storage, newspapers and magazines, baby sitting service, uncovered parking car, bike and tandem rental, shuttle service to and from the station and airport.

The structure, a delightful villa just 400 meters from the sea, immediately enchanted me, Stefania, and Salvatore, my husband.

We are a young couple always in search of new exciting ventures to pursue.

We found ourselves thrown into an adventure that personally involved us in a massive renovation, aimed at completely refurbishing the building. Alongside us were our little ones, Francesco and Fatima, as well as many friends and family members who decided to adopt a project that from the very beginning was named "dream."
From here, the current Bed & Breakfast was born, from the idea of offering warmth and hospitality to those who want to experience the most intimate and fascinating character of Salento, to those who want to experience its poetry.

Indeed, poetry is the leitmotif of the structure: poetry is breathed in the meticulously designed rooms, in the carefully and devotedly prepared breakfasts, in the services designed to offer only the best, in the welcoming atmosphere typical of those who, like us, do not consider this art a profession but a pure vocation.

Casa Poesia is a very romantic Bed and Breakfast. The rooms are all decorated differently in a vintage style but very well taken care of in every detail. We had the Rosa room with a nice large bathroom. The cleanliness is excellent. Stefania, the owner, greets you with kindness and joy. Very nice structure with two large verandas for breakfast in addition to an indoor room used as a breakfast room in case of bad weather. Very nice rooms, in vintage style. Everything clean, fragrant, and well organized. Very convenient internal parking with a always closed gate that guarantees safety especially for those with small children. Excellent breakfast. The added value of the structure is the host Stefania who together with her husband welcomed us and provided detailed information on places to visit, restaurant recommendations, excursions, beaches.. advice that we followed and found useful. Stefania is extremely professional and never intrusive. Congratulations indeed! We hope to return and will recommend the place to our friends and acquaintances.

We stayed from June 12th to 23rd, 2022 at Casa Poesia, a B&B curated with attention to every detail, both in the rooms - each with its own theme - and in the outdoor spaces. Silence and tranquility prevail, which is exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were always tidy, with towel and linen changes every 3 days. In the morning, we would see the farmer arrive with fruits and vegetables, while Stefania, the exceptional owner, prepared daily breakfasts with locally sourced products, excellent. The internal parking is very useful and the area is perfect for reaching all the beaches quickly, both towards Santa Maria di Leuca and towards Gallipoli. But what truly made the whole experience exceptional was Stefania herself, her husband, and their staff, extremely kind, helpful, and always ready to assist throughout our stay. We had an issue with the car upon arrival, but thanks to Stefania and her husband, we managed to resolve it without losing a single day of vacation. In short, we felt at home, always having a point of reference thanks to Stefania, who doesn't just hand over the keys but is always there for advice and help if needed. Thank you Stefania, thank you Casa Poesia, you were a corner of paradise.

An unforgettable holiday spent at Casa Poesia. It is not just an excellent Bed and Breakfast (spacious, clean and tastefully furnished rooms and bathrooms), but much more. The structure is strategically located (about 1km from Torre San Giovanni) to reach all the beaches in the area and the main tourist attractions in a few minutes. Stefania, the owner, was a special and professional host; together with Valentina and Salvatore, they pampered us from breakfast (always abundant, tasty, varied and strictly homemade) to the choice of the best beaches and restaurants in the area. We didn't miss anything, we felt at home. What can I say: a poem! We will definitely come back and recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a special holiday in the wonderful Salento.

I have been there during Easter. The place is stunning and meticulously cared for in every detail, each room, besides being clean, fragrant, and kept in an optimal way, has a different theme detailed by a poetic stanza. The tranquility and serenity that the place conveys allowed us to stay divinely. The sea is nearby and easily reachable by car, as well as the touristic villages of Salento. The staff is lovely, welcoming, helpful, friendly, and above all cheerful. I highly recommend it. Have a good stay.
