Description

The Bed & Breakfast La Corte San Francesco is a small palace in the ancient village of Bari, recently renovated in a rustic chic style, ideal for business trips and holidays in the city or for short stays before embarking on a ship journey from the nearby port.

In a strategic location very close to the Port (about 100 meters), the Fiera del Levante, Basilica San Nicola, just a few minutes from the Petruzzelli and Piccinni Theatres, the Central Station, the Guardia di Finanza School, and the shopping center of Bari.

Due to its structure, each floor has an independent room with a window and a private bathroom, ensuring privacy and comfort. The rooms feature rustic chic furnishings and are equipped with all the essential comforts for a pleasant stay: television in the room, air conditioning and heating, private bathroom with shower, and a study area.

In the morning, breakfast is served in the common room. There is a fridge available for guests.

La Corte San Francesco offers you the warm atmosphere of a bed & breakfast with the services of a hotel. Cleaning and change of linen are provided.

We have ample public parking nearby. A shuttle service (available for a fee upon reservation) will take you to discover the beauty of our surroundings (Polignano, Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Trani, Castel del Monte, etc.).

Our breakfast is delicious and plentiful, it is served inside the B&B and it consists of a buffet with freshly baked bread, a choice of jams, chocolate, butter, cereals, warm croissants, homemade cake and fresh fruit. Mrs. Anna will serve you milk, coffee, cappuccino, tea and your choice of juices.

My husband and I stayed at B and B La Corte di San Francesco in the old town of Bari for 4 days. The structure is very nice, comfortable and cool, easy to reach, a stone's throw from the Basilica of San Nicola, in a quiet, clean and welcoming alley. Mrs. Edmea is very attentive to all our requests, punctual in communications and attentive to the suggestions we asked for. We appreciated the availability and friendliness of Anna who takes care of breakfast (very, very rich). From the B and B we were able to visit and fully experience the life of the old town of Bari. We felt warmly welcomed by everyone and always calm while walking through it at all times of the day. We immersed ourselves in the atmosphere rich in history, in the gastronomic culture that characterizes the city of Bari which we discovered to be a very beautiful city. The experience at Molo di San Nicola tasting freshly caught raw fish and bathing in the sea was wonderful! With a leisurely walk of about 15-20 minutes, passing through the Murat district, the area of shops, offices and various activities, we reached the train station where we were able to use the buses to reach Matera, Alberobello and Locorotondo without any problems. We only had 4 days available, but they were beautiful and intense. We would return to beautiful Apulia!

I loved waking up to the wonderful smell of breakfast being prepared by Anna. The room was perfect for one person, I did not feel alone. For me, there was all the necessary comfort. I recommend it if you are looking to stay in old Bari. The café next to the B&B is very pleasant.

I must say that the landlady's attention was excellent. She cleared all our doubts and gave us ideas on what to see. In our case, we wanted to visit the surrounding villages and she put us in touch with a van driver to take us to each of the places we wanted to see.\n\nEverything was amazing, it did not disappoint. And even though it was difficult to climb the floors to the room, it was very nice to be able to experience what life is like in authentic Bari, with its tower houses. Everything was amazing.

I had a very good day and comfortable rest. The host is a wonderful lady and very helpful. I had to re-book at the last moment because the ship wasn't leaving till late and I needed somewhere to be able to rest. There was no problem at all. There is a small cafe almost right outside the door that serves great coffee and other treats. The rooms are located in the old town so everything is at your fingertips. It's only about 10 minutes away from the shipping terminal. Everything you need is available. I highly recommend this place.

The structure is pleasant and located in the old town of Bari, near the port. It's a 20/25 minute walk from the train station. Kindness and availability of the manager. Great reception from Mrs. Anna who greets customers with love and pampers them, very good cakes prepared by her in the morning. In the common room there is a fridge that is too small and it is difficult to store water bottles and other things, the same environment would also need an air conditioner for the heat. For everything else we had a great time and recommend trying this B&B! The city of Bari is fantastic, it's worth visiting!

Notre structure est développée verticalement et bien que les photographies soient claires et véridiques, certains clients ne nous avertissent pas qu'ils ont des problèmes de marche.Nous lui avons donné la possibilité de changer de chambre pour monter moins d'escaliers mais elle a refusé. A good looking comfortable place to stay in an excellent location tucked away in the old town (so not the easiest to find). From here you can get lost in old Bari (easy to do) or walk along the sea front to the modern city. Our room (up three steep flights of cast iron stairs) was a good size, light and airy with ensuite bathroom and a good shower. We were very well looked after by manager Anna who provided a delicious breakfast of fruit, yogurt, croissant and home made cake (which we wrapped up for lunch!). Our queries in advance about arrival were answered promptly. We were very happy with the venue, the price and the welcome. We enjoyed being here and would stay again - maybe with a lighter suitcase. We spent 3 nights at the B&B La Corte San Francesco to explore Bari and the surroundings. Recently renovated, small but comfortable room, impeccable cleanliness, and exceptional breakfast with fresh and genuine products. Edmea, the owner, and Anna, who is her precious resource, are very kind. The only downside, being a structure located in the historic center of Bari Vecchia, the rooms are spread over several floors (4) and accessible only by stairs. It was not a problem for us, but something to keep in mind if you have mobility issues. Perfect location to visit the various attractions of the city on foot and enjoy the warm hospitality of its inhabitants.
