Description

The dwellings are arranged on different levels, all independent and finely maintained.

La Barca on the ground floor consists of three rooms, including a double bedroom with wrought-iron bed, a living area with a sofa bed and a fridge. La Barca has characteristic barrel vaults with exposed stone and can accommodate 2-3 people. It is soundproof, equipped with LCD TV, air conditioning, independent heating, Wi-Fi connection, private bathroom with hairdryer.

La Vela is located on the first floor and consists of a double bedroom with a barrel vault with exposed stone, original floors and a small balcony. La Vela is a soundproof one-bedroom apartment, equipped with LCD TV, fridge, air conditioning, independent heating, Wi-Fi connection, private bathroom with a small balcony overlooking the sea and a hairdryer.

On the top floor, we find Il Gabbiano, a soundproof studio with a double bed, equipped with LCD TV, air conditioning, independent heating, fridge, Wi-Fi connection, private bathroom with a window overlooking the sea, and a hairdryer.

Access to the two common verandas from this room is immediate as it is the closest.

Continental breakfast is served from April to October. We serve the hot drinks such as: American coffee, espresso, cappuccino, chocolate, various teas or herbal tea to drink cold as the various types of fruit juices. At the buffet you will find fresh bread, croissants, muffins, bagels, biscuits, butter biscuits, packaged croissant, yogurt, butter, jam, kornflakers and fresh fruit pies and homemade plum cake, olives sun-dried tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, mozzarelle, grilled vegetables, salumi, cheeses.

Among the white houses overlooking the blue sea of Polignano a Mare, was born Backs House, a residence located nal heart of the city center close to the bastion of Santo Stefano and the adjacent former church now homonymous gallery Pino Pascali, who with 'other fellow Domenico Modugno are the two most famous native Polignano.
The residence consists of three homes on three different levels. We kept the original floors and furnishings chosen abiding place using wood and wrought iron to give the sensation of dive into the atmosphere of the past.
The residence has two common areas for guests, a covered terrace where you can read a book or enjoy a tea in the most relaxing, and a terrace solarium with stunning views overlooking the wonderful sea of Polignano

Our stay at Casa Dorsi was absolutely fabulous. Host Carlo was one of the best we have ever had. His recommendations on what to do, where to go and where to eat and drink were all outstanding and only made the trip more special. Along with all the great local intel, Carlo a teacher at the local gastro school held a pasta making class which was really great fun and educational. I would recommend Casa Dorsi to anyone.

Carlo is a responsive and wonderful host to a beautifully appointed room. The shared rooftop terrace is such a huge bonus that looks out onto the sea. Also, our room was in the perfect location to everything and quiet for a good night’s sleep. I would stay here again in the future.

We were very lucky to be able to come to Polignano a Mare in late November in the low season. Otherwise I do not think we would have been able to get into this place. It is perfect. Very comfortable, best location in town, very nice and helpful hosts. It has a great view from the bedroom and a spectacular balcony. Everything you need was here with a 5 minute walk to almost anywhere in the old town. I highly recommend this place!

This was a magnificent property with a beautiful view from my room. The hosts were always available should you need them and Saveria who was in charge of the breakfast was wonderful. I highly recommend this place for the hospitality, location and views. The area on via Porto where this hotel is located is the perfect spot with only a ten-minute walk to the train station and restaurants and cafés always within very short walking distances.

An important detail: yes, they have air conditioning. My rating, however, is also because of how beautiful the B&B Casa Dorsi as well as its location is. It is a restored original Italian house in the Old City, and very close to the ocean-side cliff overlooking Italy's coastline. Overall, it is a very lively spot, with performers everywhere and plenty of delicious food and drink nearby. Our host, Carlo, was also nice and knowledgeable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with very fresh traditional Italian foods. Lastly, the patio on the top of the building lets you overlook the alleys below, immersing you into street life below. If you want to feel the true old Italian spirit, this is the spot for you.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the apartment of B&B Casa Dorsi on the first floor. The room is really nice and it has everything you need. It is extremely easy to communicate with Carlo who speaks very well English. The best part about B&B Casa Dorsi is its location. The front door is right in the middle of a picturesque street of the old town which ends with ocean view. You will see that many people stop here just to take a picture of the beautiful street. Here is also where the breakfast is served, giving you a great start of your day.

We loved the location of the rooms, close to the viewing point and a coffee bar. However, there was a lot of noise at night and the property was not triple glazed, so it disturbed us when the noise went on after midnight. Unfortunately the host was not present, so couldn’t help out in any way. We paid for two double rooms (4 adult travellers) and the room on the first floor did not really match the description on the website. Our friends found the bathroom very awkward and the wet towels were not replaced. We were there for 4 nights but were only given 1 small bottle of water. We believe that the water should have been restocked each day.

Had an excellent experience at B&B Casa Dorsi. Carlo is an impeccable host, willing to accommodate any requests you may have. The pictures posted do not do the rooms justice - at least the higher ones all have excellent views, and the terrace is honestly unbeatable. The Italian breakfast was very good as well, freshly prepared every morning. Daily cleaning was very good as well. I honestly can not imagine a better way to experience Polignano a Mare than this perfectly located B&B.

Structure located in the historic center of the town, very close to one of the terraces overlooking the sea. The apartment is well finished and equipped with all the necessary comforts to stay there (including Wi-Fi). The breakfast (the sweet part) should be varied with the addition of further products available to customers, or a more frequent rotation of those available. For intellectual honesty, I acknowledge that the cappuccino is really excellent. As for the parking available, it should be specified that it is paid, but I suggest using it given the massive presence, especially in the evening, of numerous tourists, all to avoid the 'parking lottery' (both free and paid ones). Carlo is kind and always available for any request or need.

Only superlatives can be used to describe this accommodation. It is very close to an amazing balcony view of the sea. My room was very comfortable, like a home away from home. It is the room on the first floor and more like a suite (sofa bed in the second room). The rooftop terrazza is the perfect place to go for a quiet space to make a private phone call or relax. The breakfast is generous and delicious. They make an excellent cappuccino. Nice selection of charcuterie, tarts, and fresh fruit. The host is very helpful recommending restaurants and other nearby attractions. He listened carefully to me regarding my love of Italian cinema, then recommended a nearby film festival in Cala Sala, Cinegozzo. I went there more than once during my stay, and also enjoyed snorkeling in that area. He suggested a real estate agency, as part of my purpose is looking to buy something in Italy. Highly recommended.

A terrific B&B in the historic center of Polignano a Mare. The host, Carlo, is very friendly and helpful and provides a very nice breakfast included with the room. The location is excellent for getting around the historic center and many rooms have great views of the Sea. Our apartment, the Acqua Suite, came with a small Romeo & Juliette balcony off the second floor bedroom plus a rooftop deck with great views of the Adriatic. On the first floor there was a small kitchen and sitting area with entry up a small staircase from one of the many pedestrian only streets. For those arriving by car, Carlo can arrange for parking and luggage transfers since the B&B is not accessible by car. The parking lot was a short walk away so getting access to the car was quite easy with the assistance only needed for arrive and departure. During our stay we saw many other B&B's using similar transportation for guests in the historic center. Overall we found the Casa Dorsi to be a perfect choice for our first visit to Puglia and will recommend it to others. However, the stairs into the Acqua Suite are a bit steep and narrow so I would not recommend booking that unit if you have any issues climbing stairs.

We loved our stay at B&B Casa Dorsi! The location was amazing - in the center of the old town but still felt private, and our apartment had a beautiful view of the sea. The apartment was very clean, the hosts were very friendly and kind, and the breakfast was outside in the picturesque square! We would definitely come back. We were very pleasantly surprised.

Beautiful structure, the water suite is spread over 3 levels, equipped with all the comforts and a private terrace. Carlo, the manager, is a very kind and helpful person, makes you feel at home. Beautiful and very comfortable B&B right on the tip of Polignano. Rooms are truly beautiful and comfortable. But the praise must be given to Carlo the owner. Beautiful structure close to one of the balconies of Polignano. My boyfriend and I stayed for one night enjoying a breathtaking view both from the window of the water suite bedroom and from the terrace at our disposal upon awakening. The owner was very helpful in welcoming us even outside regular hours for check-in. Clean and well-furnished rooms. We will return.

Very good welcome in an old house tastefully restored and located in the heart of a magnificent village. Sea view. Not recommended for people with reduced mobility (steep and narrow stairs).
