The Bed and Breakfast "Balcone su Otranto" hosts the first floor of an old building built at the beginning of last century and recently restored.
It consists of three rooms with independent and have adequate amenities that promote a pleasant stay and wealthy.
The windows and balcony overlooking the main street you can admire the bay of Otranto and the ancient city walls, with the evocative "Porta Terra" logging on to the ancient village.
For this location the Bed and Breakfast "Balcone su Otranto" is the ideal place to experience a unique holiday, where you can breathe while the suggestion of the historical legacy of the old ramparts of ancient fortified city and the relaxed charm of the sea lapping the beach below.

I am a former teacher of literature, that at the end of the school career, having had inherited his mother's house, he thought of turning it into structure to accommodate tourists. And this is why it lends itself favorably to such use (in front of the sea, in the center of Otranto) and because this kind of activity allows me to come into contact with people from different backgrounds, which intrigues me know mentality, culture and customs, while having the possibility of confrontation and exchange with my experience and tradition.
And just being a Salentino, who has lived intensely the history of the last 50 years on this earth, I derived the privileged status of being able to explain in the most different profiles to my guests, trying to live their holiday in Otranto as unique and unforgettable experience.

Ottima struttura, pulita e centrale. Colazione a scelta nel bar convenzionato sotto casa. Il Signor Nuzzo è una persona perbene e disponibile. Consigliatissimo.

Abbiamo soggiornato presso il Balcone su Otranto la settimana di ferragosto, ci siamo trovati molto bene perché il B&B si trova in una posizione invidiabile, a due passi da tutto, il gestore è stato molto gentile, l'unica cosa che si potrebbe migliorare è quella di dotare le camere di finestre che limitino i rumori provenienti dalla strada. Comunque consiglio questo B&B.

Appartamento in pieno centro a Otranto posizione ottima..troppi scalini per accedere alla camera terrazzino piccolo e camere poco areata, colazione al bar si può prendere ciò che si vuole, qualità prezzo un pò troppo alta.

A quanto recensito dalla Signora Lotto posso rispondere che gli scalini per accedere al piano primo in cui si trova la struttura "balcone su Otranto" sono 20 circa, con alzata di 16 cm e che vi è il servizio montascale, per chi abbia difficoltà a salire. La camera matrimoniale, in cui ha soggiornato la Signora, di metri quadrati 18 circa, dispone di condizionamento, di una finestra alta mt 1,60 e larga 0,50 cm, di un lucernario di mt 1,10 x 0,50 , con finestra apribile elettricamente, posto alla sommità della camera, che ha il tetto ad un altezza di mt 4,20 dal pavimento. È annesso alla camera matrimoniale un vano cottura attrezzato, con angolo breakfast di metri quadri 6 circa ed un bagno di metri quadri 3,5. Dal vano cottura si accede su di un terrazzino arredato con sedile in pietra, tavolo e sedie per il relax e anche la consumazione di pasti all'esterno, con vista sui bastioni della città antica, di metri quadri 10 circa. La pulizia avviene giornalmente ed accuratamente e la colazione, abbondante, è servita al tavolo degli ospiti, che scelgono alla carta, e preparata da una struttura di prim'ordine del luogo. Il tutto al costo di euro 45 a persona al giorno ed euro 5, sempre al giorno, per l'uso di cucina, al centro di Otranto e di fronte al mare, che dista appena 50 metri circa. Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura otto giorni nei primi giorni di giugno di quest'anno (2016) e precisamente nella camera denominata Sole, quella col piano cottura! Beh cosa dire: io l'ho trovata fantastica. La camera era molto spaziosa come pure il bagno, ma quello che non mi aspettavo era che il piano cottura occupava uno spazio a parte della camera da letto ed era anche ben attrezzato. Poi c'era un terrazzino interno con un tavolo pertanto si poteva anche eventualmente mangiare fuori, Al mattino ti svegliavi con il cinguettio degli uccelli in quanto, nonostante sia nel centro di Otranto, questa camera è sul retro quindi non c'è vista mare ma tanta pace! Per me è stata una vacanza Favolosa! Ah dimenticavo... superpulitissimo ogni giorno.

Posizione stupenda, dal balcone abbiamo potuto goderci lo spettacolo di fine anno e i fuochi d'artificio. Proprietario molto disponibile, cordiale e premuroso: sapendo che avevo la febbre, mi ha contattato il giorno successivo per informarsi sulla mia salute. La stanza ristrutturata con gusto, comoda e spaziosa. Consigliato vivamente.

Arrivi al B&B (centralissimo), raggiungi la camera (luminosa, accogliente e pulita) ed apri il balcone, a quel punto sorridi, per forza: hai di fronte la conca di Otranto, davanti a te il bellissimo mare del Salento, alla tua destra la rocca, tutto da godersi con calma dal balconcino.
Zona pedonale (ma la macchina si può sistemare vicinissima e gratuitamente per tutto il soggiorno), camera accogliente, pulizie tutti i giorni, bagno piccolo ma molto accogliente (doccia grande!)
La colazione si fa al bar sotto casa ed è ottima.
il sig. Nuzzo è un perfetto rappresentante della leggendaria ospitalità salentina e questo aggiunge quel pizzico di calore che non guasta mai.
Un piccolo difetto non può non esserci: essendo così centrale, sotto la finestra del B&B in particolare nei giorni festivi c'è chiacchiere fino a tarda ora (e all'alba la nettezza urbana!).
La soluzione che suggerisco, per chi ha il sonno leggero e vuol andare a dormire presto è di chiudere il balcone e usare l'aria condizionata di cui la camera dispone (o i vecchi mitici tappi per le orecchie). Comunque vi assicuro che è un piccolo prezzo per essere nel cuore di Otranto, circondati dalla bellezza del mare!

Ottima posizione della struttura a ridosso del borgo antico e dei giardinetti sul lungomare. Camera Sole per 3 persone, spaziosa e pulita, con cucinino e bagno non grande ma confortevole. Comodo il parcheggio riservatoci dal gestore poco distante dalla struttura. Colazione nel bar sottostante non molto ricca. Un po' scomoda la collocazione della lavanderia e la scala di accesso.

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno davvero gradevole. Il gestore, discreto e garbato, è stato gentilissimo ed ha rispettato tutte le nostre esigenze, anticipandone alcune. La camera assolutamente confortevole e ottimamente riscaldata, con arredo curato e di qualità. E grazie al terrazzino di pertinenza abbiamo potuto godere dello spettacolo pirotecnico di fine anno. Insomma tutto davvero perfetto!! Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!!
