Description

Atipico is a B&B located in the historic center of Bari, a stone's throw from the Cathedral of San Sabino and the Norman Svevo Castle.

The property offers accommodation for up to eight people in three bedrooms, one quadruple (double + bunk bed) and two doubles.

Each room has a private bathroom, heating, air conditioning, WiFi, mini fridge, smart TV (Netflix installed and active), electric kettle and hairdryer.

Every choice, with attention to the smallest details, has been made to make our guests' stay pleasant.

We spent six lovely nights at Armando's, who was a young, charming host, super efficient and attentive to all our questions. Our room on the first floor was pretty and well arranged, with comfortable bedding. This B&B in the center of historic Bari Vecchia is ideally located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, yet close to the life of the locals. We recommend this first-floor room without reservation. The value for money is excellent.

Great location for visiting the historic center; close to the station, a 15-minute walk, from which you can take day trips to nearby towns. The host was kind and stored our luggage on the last day, since our departure was in the afternoon.

Very cool upgrade in a pedestrian area. Small, but efficient. Great bed! Be aware when booking, that you will be parking a bit of a ways away and you’ll climb stairs to the unit. They aren’t necessarily steep by European standards, but we Americans may not be used to them. The host was very good at communicating and his instructions on how to get there and gain access are very descriptive. He uses WhatsApp, so you’ll want to download that. Breakfast is at a local “bar” and we had a cappuccino and a delicious croissant. Typical Italian breakfast.

Well renovated, clean structure located in the center of Old Bari. The rooms are not large but clean and functional. The owner is very helpful and courteous. It's a shame that for breakfast you have to go to a nearby bar, where the classic breakfast with croissants and cappuccino/coffee is served (usually in Atipico B&B breakfast is richer and more varied).

New, clean, and well-furnished structure. Perfect for short stays. Located in the heart of old Bari, just steps away from the cathedral and the Swabian Castle. All services (shops, restaurants, shopping) are available in the immediate vicinity. Breakfast is served in a bar very close by. The manager was very clear with the instructions to reach the structure and do the self check-in, very kind and generous with advice.

Armando, the owner, is a good person and has visited Brazil a few times. He responds to all messages via WhatsApp quickly, speaks English and a little Spanish. Atipico B&B is located within the historic center of Bari and about 1km from Bari Centrale train station. The walk is mostly along a pedestrian street with excellent shops. The offered breakfast is simple (coffee + croissant) and quick, served at a nearby bar starting at 7:00, to be consumed at the counter or at the small tables on the sidewalk in front, if it's not raining.

Atypical B&B is a functional structure located in the old town of Bari, in a quiet and silent alley but a stone's throw from the main points of interest, as well as from bars and restaurants. The owner was very kind, providing me with precise directions to reach the accommodation and booking a taxi for the morning I left Bari. The cleanliness is also impeccable.

Location of the property is really great. Everything you want to taste and see in Bari is within walking distance from the property. It is located in the center of the old town, but still on a very quiet street. The host is great. Really helpful with excellent video instructions on how to reach the property and always available to assist you. In the room there was a map and a list of great local food destinations - focaccia, panzerotti, etc.

Review of Atipico B&B and host Armando. Excellent accommodation in the old town of Bari Vecchia. Modern and quiet room. Wonderful, friendly host. Very central location, close to many shops & restaurants and close to the cathedral. The room was sparkling clean. We booked for three nights and we really enjoyed the place. Armando was a fantastic host. He helped us out with early arrival, moved our two heavy bags upstairs, and arranged for a taxi to the airport. We highly recommend Armando and Atipico B&B.

Armando is a truly exceptional host, always available, precise, and easygoing. The property is located in the center of Bari Vecchia but on a side street, which allows for a peaceful night's sleep. The room is just like in the photos, modern yet elegant. It's definitely worth the slightly above-average price paid, just a tad. If I were to return to Bari, I would certainly come back here.
