Description

Ammarèa is a family-run bed & breakfast located in the center of Torre San Giovanni, Ugento (Lecce), less than a 5-minute walk from the beaches of the Ugento Coastal Nature Park. Every aspect of the property is personally managed by us: hospitality, cleaning, and breakfast. The rooms are spacious and equipped with hypoallergenic linens, a mini fridge, 32” TV, safe, and independent air conditioning. The private bathroom includes a shower, bidet, towels, hairdryer, and courtesy kit. The common areas — the back garden and the front terrace — are furnished with tables and armchairs, perfect for relaxing Salento evenings without needing a car.

The table includes fresh homemade sweets and typical Salento products, warm pasticciotto prepared for you, coffee, juices, and everything you need to start a perfect day by the sea, with a few small variations that may change from day to day. This is not a hotel breakfast: it is the breakfast of a Salento family who wants you to feel at home.

Area seaside

Torre San Giovanni is one of the most popular seaside destinations in southern Salento, awarded the 2026 Blue Flag and part of the Ugento Coastal Nature Park. The fine sandy beaches and protected dunes are less than a 5-minute walk from Ammarèa. The clear sea is ideal for snorkeling and diving; in the evening, the seafront comes alive with restaurants, pizzerias, ice cream shops, and entertainment. Everything you need is within walking distance: a supermarket 3 minutes away, bars and restaurants in the center 2 minutes away, and a pharmacy nearby. Gallipoli and Santa Maria di Leuca are about 30 minutes away by car, while Pescoluse — the so-called “Maldives of Salento” — is just 15 minutes away. Guests who prefer not to drive can use the Salento in Bus service, which connects the area with the entire Salento peninsula through frequent routes.

Excellent solution for a vacation in Torre San Giovanni due to the strategic location just a few steps from the center and a few minutes' walk from the beaches. The rooms are spacious and equipped with everything. The abundant breakfast is served in the garden. In addition, there is the empathy of the two brothers Gianmarco and Matteo who manage the property advising you on what to do and where to go. Best wishes to all of you.

The managers are very kind, very attentive to customers and cleanliness. Close to the city, 8 minutes on foot from the beach. Parking on the street but safe. The breakfast is Italian, so it includes fruit and sweets from the area. I rated it an 8 only because I also like savory food, otherwise everything is very good. Thank you again for everything, very kind.

We recently stayed at Ammarèa B&B, managed by two young hosts like us, and the experience was simply fantastic! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home. The welcome was warm and genuine, with attention to details that really impressed us. The two managers, Gianmarco and Matteo, were incredibly helpful with any request we had, always ready to offer advice on what to see and do in the area. Their knowledge of the area and passion for their work was evident in every suggestion and story shared with us. The room was comfortable, clean, and well furnished. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh and local products, and the atmosphere of the B&B was relaxing and welcoming. Another strong point of this B&B is its location: just a few meters from the sea, allowing us to easily enjoy the beautiful beaches and breathtaking views. It was wonderful to take a short walk and immediately find ourselves on the coast. I can highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a place to truly feel at ease, as if it were their own home. The combination of genuine hospitality, comfort, attention to details, and proximity to the sea makes this place truly special. We will definitely return!
