Description

The B&B “L’Aia Grande” is situated on a typical countryside from the Salento and therefore it results as the best place to pass holidays in complete relax. Furthermore it is situated between the two nice villages Uggiano la Chiesa and Casamassella, which belong to the Terra d’Otranto and are only few km from the sea away. Only 3 km away you can find the beautiful bay Porto Badisco which is not only thanks to the clear sea so nice but also thanks to the numerous grottos (especially the “Grotta del Cervo”). These grottos are dated from the New Stone Age period. Only 5 km away you can visit the historic city Città d’ Otranto which is so wonderful due to his narrow streets and alleys of the old town, his castle, his cathedral and his numerous beaches.

The rooms which had been furnished with care and simplicity are situated on the first level of a nice villa and they all have a private toilet / washing room and /or furnished with air condition, Wi-Fi Internet, TV, hair dryer, refrigarator and balcony / terace.

After years of experience in the hotel industry, both in Italy and abroad, we have decided to open our own establishment in our homeland, Salento.

A magnificent place located in a strategic position away from the chaos but very close to Otranto and beautiful beaches. Pierangelo and his wife welcomed us warmly and made us feel at home. The property is very beautiful and well-kept in every detail; our room was perfectly clean and equipped with every comfort. The breakfast is rich and very varied; one couldn't ask for better. The pool is wonderful, an oasis of tranquility both day and night. Nothing negative. If I return to that area, I am sure I will book again at Pierangelo's property.

Thanks to the courtesy and discretion of Anna and Pierangelo, we had a very pleasant stay at the Aia Grande property, equipped with every necessity, with a consistently rich and plentiful breakfast (also for celiacs) and a charming pool. The location is also excellent, allowing you to reach every part of beautiful Salento within 30/45 minutes.

Immaculately clean and meticulously cared for structure in every detail. Pool with relaxation area always available to guests. Extremely convenient area to the entire seaside area of Otranto and surroundings. Garden cared for in every detail with many fruit trees whose succulent fruits can be tasted for breakfast. Rooms equipped with every comfort. The highlight of the structure? Pierangelo and Anna, the two managers, always friendly, helpful, and ready to provide any kind of suggestion to enjoy the area and what the territory offers. You will certainly not be disappointed.

Spacious breakfast room, outdoor barbecue area, and pine forest. Nearby there are pizzerias and restaurants suitable for all budgets. We had a good time.

We spent 5 days, neat, well-kept and clean structure. The attention of the manager is very kind. The house is well-kept, clean, modern, with TV, air conditioning, fridge. Very clean and modern bathroom. Another important point is the pool, always clean with sun loungers and relaxation area, perfect under the palm trees. Approximately 10 minutes from Otranto, a beautiful city.

It's like being at home! A splendid structure immersed in the greenery and tranquility of the little village, just a stone's throw from all the most beautiful places to visit. Peace and serenity in a super clean and well-kept environment, pool with garden that you can access whenever you want, comfortable, extremely clean and new rooms. Courtesy kit, covered internal parking, pool towels, cushions for the sun loungers, barbecue area. What more to add beyond the wonderful welcome and kindness of PierAngelo, Anna and MariaGiulia, splendid and very kind people! I forgot the tasty breakfast that awaits you every morning. We were looking for a B&B near Otranto and the beautiful beaches, and we discovered Aia Grande with pleasure. The owner speaks several languages and is very professional, the rooms are renovated and comfortable, and breakfast is a pleasure to enjoy on a terrace among the olive trees. The facility is very well cared for in details both outside and inside. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning and beautiful terraces from which you can enjoy the view of the countryside with typical olive groves. The cleanliness is impeccable as is the management. The location of the facility is good because it is easy to access the various road branches that lead to the beaches and urban centers. The breakfast can satisfy every need, including bread and pastries baked at home by Anna. Very good.
