Tourist tips from the host

Could you recommend sites and monuments that tourists should visit in the town of Valdisotto.

In Bormio there are three different thermal spas:
1. “Bormio Terme”, a modern spa divided into two sections:
Thermal treatments – standard thermal treatments including mud baths, inhalation therapy, physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
Sport and wellbeing – a section totally dedicated to wellbeing: indoor and outdoor swimming pools, saunas and Turkish baths, solarium, relaxation areas, themed areas for children with water slides. A 10% discount is offered to guests of the B&B.
Location: in the centre of the village. www. bormioterme. it
2. “Bagni Vecchi”, an age-old thermal spa dating back to the ancient Romans.
The spa offers more than 30 attractions, including a panoramic swimming pool, a “sudatorium” cave, swimming pools, relaxation rooms, saunas, mud baths and picturesque Roman baths.
Location: 3 km from Bormio, on the road towards the Stelvio Pass.
3. “Bagni Nuovi”, a thermal spa annexed to the “Grand Hotel Bagni Nuovi”.

Santa Lucia is located in the Alta Valtellina region, home to 220 km of ski slopes in San Colombano, Bormio, Livigno and Santa Caterina, which offer alpine skiing at all levels.
Snowboarding fans will find well-equipped snow parks in Bormio and Livigno.
For Nordic ski lovers there are a further 80 km of snow covered slopes in the woods of Isolaccia, Santa Caterina, Bormio and Livigno, where one may spend hours of serenity in the outdoors.
For non-skiers we recommend pleasant walks in the village or perhaps snowshoeing in the National Stelvio Park.

Cycling fans will find many alpine passes including that of the Stelvio Pass, Gavia and Mortirolo. Here there are also many other itineraries and paths indicated for mountain bikers.
For those who enjoy hiking and quiet we suggest the Stelvio National Park, where one may find many different types of animals such as chamois, deer, steinbock (mountain goats), and eagles.

Don’t miss a tour to Livigno!
One of the most successful mountain resorts in Europe, only half an hour’s drive from Bormio.
Livigno is a renowned duty-free area with countless bargains ranging from designer clothing to prestigious watches, from spirits and liqueurs to the most refined wines, from the most sought-after photographic equipment to the latest electronic innovations… all at unbeatable prices.
But Livigno isn’t only famous for the duty free goods. In fact, it has something for everyone: A range of hotels, superb restaurants, mountain bike trails and cycling tracks. In winter, Livigno is a skiier’s paradise with numerous, easily accessible ski slopes and cross-country trails, rally driving on ice, and snowmobile trails… For the young at heart, it also offers a vibrant nightlife with its huge number of bars and nightclubs.
