Description

In Treviso, on a street in the city center, which is situated on the border between its medieval and Renaissance soul, the 16th-century palace of the Treviso merchant Joan Raspanti dal Saon stands. This palace, still standing today, is interspersed with palisades and other fortifications, deriving its name from the origins of via Stangade. Joan Raspanti was a lover of art and a kind host.

On October 18, 1542, the painter Lorenzo Lotto, who had fled from Venice in search of a new serenity, sought hospitality at the home of Joan del Saon and his family. Lotto became emotionally connected to them, to the extent that he made the Raspanti palace his residence for three years.

Anyone who wishes to learn from Lotto's lesson will find Treviso and the 16th-century Raspanti palace as a delicate return to an idyll in history, with the serene beauty of ancient Tarvisium and its proximity to the splendors of Venice.

The bed and breakfast "Palazzo Raspanti" offers two spacious rooms and an attic suite, each equipped with amenities, a large lounge for breakfast, relaxation, reading, and conversation.

The B&B is located on the third floor of a historic building and does not have an elevator. Access to the parking area and the premises is not allowed for anyone other than guests.

The palace is just a few steps away from the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, Porta Carlo Alberto, Porta San Tommaso, and Piazza del Grano, the historic site of the city's market. It is also only a few minutes away from the central Piazza dei Signori and the Ca’dei Carraresi and Santa Caterina Museums.

The train station is within walking distance, while the airports of Treviso and Venice are respectively 15 and 30 minutes away.

We really liked our stay at the palazzo and were amazed by the beautiful building it is located in. Also very close to the city centre and a lot of things to do within walking distance. We only stayed one night, but the place was cozy and nice. The room was nicely warm and very clean. There were quite good breakfast options, and the host was kind. It has a good location near the center and the station. I also liked the renovation of the palazzo; it was pretty well done.

As a company, we booked some rooms at Palazzo Raspanti for our colleagues on a business trip, and we were extremely satisfied with the experience. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and made our colleagues' stay very pleasant. We also needed to make a last-minute change to the reservation, as one of our colleagues could not come. The accommodation is located right in the city center and has a parking lot. It is simple, functional, in an interesting old Palazzo, hence good value for money. The breakfast is simple, without cheese, eggs, cold cuts. Unfortunately, there are no mosquito nets in front of the windows; in humid weather, the mosquito problem is therefore high. Simone is very helpful and caring. All in all, highly recommended as a simple accommodation.

We have stayed at the Palazzo Raspanti several times, and always enjoy it. The building is ancient and full of atmosphere, the rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are excellent. If you have a car, the Palazzo has its own car park. Parking in Treviso's centre is difficult otherwise, because of its narrow winding streets. \n\nThe host, Signor Russo, is welcoming and helpful. All in all we hooe to stay there again on our next visit.

Excellent hospitality and kindness of the manager Mr. Simone; good location close to the center of Treviso reachable with a short walk; the only negative point is that the structure does not have an elevator and is located on the second floor of a historic building.

The Palazzo Raspanti is located within the city walls but in a quiet street, shielded from the noise of the busiest tourist spots. The room is spacious and quite comfortable. We felt very welcome.

I stayed one night at this splendid, elegant, and very clean structure that takes you back in time. Excellent reception and friendliness of Mr. Simone. I will definitely come back when I need to stay in Treviso. Highly recommended.

The host and property are wonderful. We had lots of space and privacy in our suite. Everything was very clean and amenities like shampoo and a hairdryer were provided. The location is perfect if you want to walk to the river/canal system or to access the weekend market.

You feel great at Palazzo Raspanti, very well taken care of by the very kind and hospitable owners. Conveniently located in the center with the possibility of parking in the courtyard. The only problem for those who have difficulties are the stairs. Excellent breakfast.

The geographical location, the Palazzo Raspanti, and the room with bathroom available are perfect in every way. Worth mentioning: the parking in the courtyard of Palazzo Raspanti, which is very useful. The room is spacious, the adjacent bathroom well-equipped and equally spacious. Nothing is missing and everything is furnished with care. As for our host Simone, he knows how to be discreet while being attentive to those he welcomes. Highly recommended and to be used urgently. A charming, comfortable address in Verona. Thanks to Simone.
