Description

The inn has two recently renovated rooms located on two levels. On the first floor, there is a small living room with a sofa bed, digital HD and satellite television, a table, and a small corner with a fridge, kettle, and sink for quick and easy independence. On the upper floor, there is a double bedroom and a bathroom with a shower, hairdryer, and bidet. The balconies are equipped with chairs and loungers to enjoy the breathtaking view in complete relaxation.

At the core of our cuisine lies respect and care for the ingredients. Our aim is to incorporate taste, elegance, and creativity in every dish without distorting the quality ingredients they are made of, while following the natural flow of the seasons. Our menu features typical dishes from the entire Veneto region and beyond, with fresh fish from the lagoon, meat from local butchers in the foothills, eggs from a small farm just a few kilometers from the village of Fornesighe, alpine cheeses, and vegetables from our garden and local small vendors. Everything served is fresh and homemade, such as bread, pasta, preserves, and liqueurs. The wine selection ranges from classic bottles from the Triveneto region to a wide selection of natural wines, made with minimal human intervention. The vinification process is carried out with yeasts naturally present on the grape skins, making it highly digestible and made with the substances that nature provides. All of this can be enjoyed in our cozy fireplace area or on the terrace, with a splendid view of the Dolomites.

The Nona Giò Inn is managed by Jasmeen and Giuseppe since June 2023. After returning to Italy following several years abroad, we have chosen to offer a menu with genuine ingredients, elaborated in a way that guarantees customers a unique experience, which changes based on the seasonality and availability of local products. We met in Copenhagen, where he worked as a cook and I as a baker and pastry chef, specializing in the technique of sourdough leavening. Together, we decided to combine our passions, experiences, and ideas and bring them to life in the beautiful village of Fornesighe.

La Locanda Nona Giò, run by Giuseppe and Jasmeen, offers two rooms for accommodation. We were three people plus a dog and stayed in the largest room (Wanda). The room is laid out over two levels: on the upper floor there is a spacious bedroom with a comfortable bed and a small terrace overlooking the mountains, plus a large, well-heated bathroom. On the lower level there is a sofa bed, fridge, microwave oven, sink and a wardrobe; there is no hob or cookware for cooking. It is possible to book breakfast at the inn. The hosts are young, very helpful and welcoming; the adjacent restaurant offers a high-quality gourmet menu that uses mainly local and natural products. Giuseppe has a notable knowledge of wines and offers tastings before you choose. The location is fairly isolated but is special for those who want to spend time off the usual routes and away from the crowds, although an important tourist center (Pecol) is 20 minutes by car; shops for basic necessities are 10 minutes by car. In 20–30 minutes you can reach numerous walks (beautiful for those who love trekking even in winter) and also ski facilities. It was certainly a pleasant surprise that allowed us to spend vacation days in a healthy, relaxing and welcoming environment. Special mention to the hosts who, on New Year's Eve, came to our room offering us a bottle of good wine to toast to 2026. The only less-than-optimal point is parking; being a small village, spaces are limited but with a little patience and, if necessary, a 5-minute walk you can find a parking space; obviously we are referring to the period of greatest holiday influx.

We stayed here three nights in September 2025. It was a truly wonderful experience. Giuseppe and Jasmeen, the owners, made us feel at home; they were very kind and accommodating. The room is cozy and tastefully furnished: it is split over two levels with a kitchenette and sofa, and on the upper floor there is the bed with a very spacious bathroom and a terrace. The property is an old building carefully renovated, preserving the antique style that can be felt throughout the small village of Fornesighe, truly a little gem worth visiting on foot by walking the alleys and stairways. Breakfast is served in a splendid restored building adjacent to the rooms; it is a real plunge into the past that takes your breath away. You can choose between sweet and savory options and the ladies who take care of breakfast are really kind and helpful. Giuseppe and Jasmeen also run a restaurant on the ground floor of the building that houses the rooms; we dined there two evenings and were really impressed by the excellent quality of the dishes and by the passion they conveyed to us. It was a lovely surprise and we were very, very satisfied to have stayed here. We highly recommend the B&B and the restaurant.

It was a wonderful vacation! My partner and I spent two nights at Locanda da Nona, really beautiful. We relaxed a lot and ate very well. Jasmeen and Giuseppe take care of everything down to the smallest details and are very attentive to the desires of the guests. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable, well equipped with everything needed to feel good. The view from the terrace is magnificent, waking up to the view of the mountains is priceless. Convenient location for nice walks! We will definitely return. I highly recommend it to everyone!

We spent two nights in this delightful inn and can only speak about it with enthusiasm. The room was cozy, well-furnished, and impeccably clean, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. The dinner was truly a highlight: exquisite dishes prepared with local ingredients, beautifully presented in a charming environment that feels like home and authenticity. The two owners were extremely kind and attentive. A place we wholeheartedly recommend and where we can't wait to return!

I know, hidden gem is a phrase used too many times, but there are occasions when it perfectly fits. Fornesighe is a secluded, old village in the Dolomites, with a vibe of really old times, with the multi-century old wooden houses. All you get here is silence, calmness, relaxation and great views. Locanda Nona Gio provides a perfect accommodation to this with their cozy but very tidy rooms and a perfect terrace viewing onto the mountains. Jasmeen and Giuseppe also operate a restaurant under the rooms, and I can't be thankful enough that they opened it just for us on a Thursday evening. It would have been a shame to miss this culinary experience. I'm already into thinking when and how to come back here to spend much more time in the area.

A magical country. Its wooden and stone houses captivate you and make you dream. Then you enter the Restaurant Locanda Nona Gió where Giuseppe and Jasmeen welcome you and guide you to savor their dishes, where flavors and combinations surprise you with every bite. Beautiful stay, young managers are very attentive, friendly and prepared. They transmit positive energy. Fantastic experience dining in their restaurant with a tasting menu. This B&B is run by a very driven couple. You should definitely eat in their restaurant. Giuseppe is an inventive chef and Jasmeen makes you feel really welcome. The breakfast with a stunning view (even with less good weather) is not to miss. We would surely stop here again if we are in the area.
