Description

Lying about five kilometres from the centre of Cortina d'Ampezzo, in the lovely pastures of Pezié de Parù, the refuge is like a crown, surrounded by mountains famous throughout the world: the Tofana, Cinque Torri, Sorapìs and Cristallo. Being at the centre of an intricate network of paths which lead to refuges, high altitude lakes, museums of the First World War, practice walls and the Parco Naturale delle Dolomiti d'Ampezzo, (Nature Park of the Ampezzo Dolomites), it is a convenient arrival and setting-off point for hiking, climbing and mountain bike enthusiasts.

In winter alpine ski runs merge with trails for hiking on snow shoes. In Summer the ample terrace, a lovely well-groomed lawn where you can sunbathe on loungers, the pasture with the cows and, lastly, a little brook where children can play safely in fairy-tale surroundings.

This is what the Peziè de Parù Refuge offers: contact with nature, silence and tranquillity.

In 2012 appointed place where you can celebrate civil marriages.

On the buffet you can find cookies, fresh croissants every morning, fresh bread every morning, sometimes cooked even by us-white and black bread, jam, chocolate, butter and honey- Things like cooked or uncooked smoked bacon and cheese- white and fruit Yogurt-fresh fruit -Selection of thè and vari- infusions.

Restaurant

Our restaurant is also open to the public. If yoùd like lunch or dinner, you must make a reservation. We don't offer half-board; we serve à la carte. Therefore, it may be closed due to a weekly shift or lack of reservations. Therefore, we have no opening restrictions.

I loved this place. The setting is warm, charming, peaceful and surrounded by nature, while still close to the village. What impressed me most was the kindness and thoughtfulness of the staff. I thank them once again. The breakfast is of excellent quality, with fresh and varied products. So, not only do I recommend this establishment, but if I have the opportunity to travel to this area again, I will certainly return.

A week of pure relaxation! A quiet and isolated place but at the same time not far from the center of Cortina. Clean and very cozy room. Excellent and tasty food and dishes, with portions within the norm and an excellent value for money for the area. The owner extremely sociable and friendly, it felt like being at home. The facility is well-kept and immersed in the greenery of a charming and convenient location for those who need to reach the different paths and passes in the area. The room is small but in a positive sense as it fits into the context of a romantic mountain dairy among the mountains, you immediately get the feeling by looking out from the large window overlooking the green woods and mountains. The bathroom is very modern and all very clean. The breakfast is abundant, sweet, savory, yogurt, cereals, fruit, etc. However, I would suggest a couple of 'home made' products, for example, some jam or cake (someone coming from the cities always expects it). The cappuccino is always perfect and there is a wide selection of teas and herbal teas. I recommend staying for dinner sometimes, it is really worth it, the cost is relative to the quality of the dishes, you can't go wrong with whatever you decide to eat. The owner is a very pleasant, kind and helpful person without any flattery, which shows that he doesn't need to charm anyone because he believes in his business. We had the pleasure of stopping to talk with him after dinner and we liked it a lot. We will definitely come back to visit him!

Beautiful place, towards Passo Giau. Cozy room with a nice and functional bathroom. Everything is very clean. Rich breakfast and a restaurant where you can really eat well. Thanks to the owner Fabiano and all the staff for their skill and kindness. I highly recommend it.

It's a little out of town, but quiet and close to beautiful trails and mountain passes. Really comfortable room with fabulous view of Tofane. It was great to come back and have a lovely meal after a day in the mountains, there's also a good selection of wines. Fabiano and his family and staff are great and very welcoming, despite our lack of Italian.

Lovely location, stunning view, very welcoming and warm structure. Well-insulated walls. High-level cuisine, the best in the area among those experienced. The proximity to Passo Giau is an additional value. We were there with two dogs which grazed quietly in the morning to do their business. I will definitely be back, hopefully soon.

Highly enjoyed our brief stay. Tucked away in a quiet area, this made the perfect base for setting out on some good walks around the Cinque Torri area. Fabiano was the perfect host and ensured we had a great stay. The atmosphere and restaurant deserve 10 stars as well.
