Description
The Bed and Breakfast “Il Vecchio Noce” (the old walnut) lies in the historical centre of Nebbiù, the smallest village of Pieve di Cadore city council. This village is surrounded by the Dolomites, mountains recently entered in the Unesco Heritage. Nebbiù is the perfect place to rest and relax in touch with the nature, in a little village without traffic (except few residents and tourist' cars).
In a ancient house, recently refurbished following the tradition of the area, they have been created 3 bedrooms for the B&B (2 with bathroom). The dining room represents the common space dedicated to the guests. “Il Vecchio Noce” offers a wide garden with fruit trees, pets and farm animals (ducks, geese, chickens and rabbits). Close to the building you can find a nice playground.
For people loving trekking, you can find an extensive choice of nature trails, as from Nebbiù there are several paths for different demands and skills. Walks to Pozzale, Tai, Pieve and Valle, harder excursions that heads toward Antelao mountain (one of the highest pick of the Dolomites). From Pieve di Cadore then start the Alta Via (High way) delle Dolomiti n.4 (leading to S. Candido in Pusteria) and the Alta Via delle Dolomiti n.5 (to Sesto in Pusteria); there are the Alta Via delle Dolomiti n.6 (running from Piave's rise to Vittorio Veneto) and the Path of the Dolomites crossing the town too.
For the lovers of bike, just 1 km from Nebbiù it has been created the bicycle path of the Dolomites. The way starts from Calalzo di Cadore and, crossing Cortina d'Ampezzo and Dobbiaco, arrives in Austria.
At the moment we do not have a private parking, but it is possible to park the car in the square of the village, that lies just 50 mt away.

Nice place in an incredible setting to spend a few days and disconnect. My partner and I stayed at this place to get to know the area and do different hiking routes and it was a great choice. Without a doubt the best was the hotel's family, very kind and attentive to everything. For breakfast you could choose the time that suited you best and they adapted to you. Very complete. If we were to stay in the area again we would definitely come back.

It is a wonderful place. Super clean and tidy with very friendly and smiling people. Located in a serene landscape away from any noise and frenzy. We needed to escape from the city and daily life to unwind, and we succeeded fully. You sleep really well and the view from the window is breathtaking. The collaboration is excellent, with latte coffee that has a special taste. It's a place I recommend from the heart to those who need to relax in the fresh heart of nature.

Our room was in the attic. As we opened the door we were speechless. Stunning! The B&B is run by young, very kind and helpful girls. Right from the start we enjoyed all the independence possible. If there was the possibility, we parked the car in the courtyard, if the space was already taken, we put it in the Church parking lot just a few steps away. Also very nice is the area with farm animals like chickens, ducks, and geese; for those with young children like us, they are always a nice form of entertainment.

The bed is comfortable, the room is very quiet, the bathroom is large. The renovation has left some nice antique touches (the wooden staircase, for example). The breakfast room is furnished with hand-carved wooden furniture, which gives a nice atmosphere to the environment. Breakfast includes homemade cakes and local biscuits, as well as the inevitable speck for those who prefer savory. The owners are very courteous.

I wouldn't have words to describe the location, hospitality, cleanliness, property, and other qualities that characterize this special B&B. I could only tell you that the team has become a part of my family and leaving that breathtaking place twice has truly touched me, but unfortunately not everything is forever.
