Excellent welcome. Marco made us feel as if we were at our own home with his extreme kindness and cordiality. Excellent breakfast with high-quality products prepared by the skilled hands of Marco himself. Definitely worth a return!

We stayed 2 nights in this accommodation for New Year's and can only recommend it: Accommodation in the heart of Venice, very well located (10 minutes from the train station and about 25 minutes walk from Piazza San Marco). Marco, the owner, is an exceptional host very kind who loves what he does and it shows! Before our arrival, he gave us all the details to reach his accommodation from the airport and made himself available for all our questions (transports, recommended restaurants, etc). Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Marco who gave us all the practical information to discover Venice and even left us a little attention in the fridge to celebrate the new year, in addition to the coffee/tea and homemade cookies available in the room. The room is very spacious, clean and very well maintained, we felt at home. Breakfast was plentiful with fresh, healthy and homemade products by Marco who sat with us for a very friendly exchange and sharing moment. In conclusion, this accommodation is a rare gem, we highly recommend it and keep this address preciously if we have to stay again in Venice!

A lovely B&B in a perfect location - right in the middle of everything yet absolutely quiet. The owner is incredibly attentive and caring towards his guests. The room is tastefully and subtly decorated and has a new, small, functional bathroom. Everything was super clean. In the morning, we were served a loving, mostly homemade breakfast. \nSuch gems should not actually be revealed!

I stayed at this delightful Bed and Breakfast alone for two nights, what can I say: everything perfect, no detail left to chance, top-notch hospitality, super strategic location for any activity and close to the train station yet very quiet (overlooking a small garden), breakfast for connoisseurs. Marco is a host deserving of top marks and a skilled pastry chef. Highly recommended structure especially if you are looking for an authentically Venetian experience (late 1400s location) with, in my opinion for Venice, an excellent quality/price ratio. I will definitely come back!

Beautiful stay, owner always available and welcoming.

Right in the historic center of Venice, close to the Grand Canal. Quiet room with a very comfortable bed. For breakfast, there was homemade bread and cakes and great tips and conversations with the landlord. We couldn't have asked for better.

Marco è un padrone di casa eccezionale! Ti accoglie a casa sua come un vecchio amico. Ospitale e attento, ma mai invadente. Il nostro soggiorno a Venezia è stato superlativo anche grazie a lui! Il b&b è in ottima posizione sia per chi arriva in treno, sia per chi arriva in auto (5 minuti a piedi da stazione e piazzale Roma). A pochi metri la fermata del vaporetto sul Canal Grande.

Our host Marco was fabulous! very friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to make sure we had a fabulous time in Venice. His breakfasts were delicious especially his pancakes! The B&B was centrally located. When we return to Venice we will definitely stay with Marco.

Marco is the best host! Walking distance from the train station or the bus from the airport. Also walk straight out the door about 1or2 blocks to grand canal then couple more to vaporetto stop. You might be awakened some days at 7: 30 or 8 by the cheerful voice of the trash collector below your window. Good gelato shop very close.

This was my first solo travel to Europe and in Italy, Venice was my first stop. I had some hesitations despite the excellent reviews I had read of this B&B. Marco and his B&B not only erased my fears. They far exceeded my expectations. Right from the beginning, Marco patiently and promptly responded to my every question and made me feel safe. He gave me specific directions and patiently stayed on the phone and 'kept me company' until I reached his place. He greeted and warmly welcomed me at the door as if I was a family. He carried my luggage up the stairs for me, made me feel at home and gave me tips about Venice - best places to go for food, going around, etc. Marco's B&B is literally 2-3 minutes walk to the Grand Canal. My evenings were magical! Breakfasts - they made my stay in Venice even better. It was at this table where I met very lovely people and had great laughters and conversations over the delicious food Marco had prepared for us. He even remembered to prepare soya milk for me (I had mentioned in my previous emails to him that my tummy reacts to milk other than soya). That was a nice touch. Finally, Marco went backwards for me. I had forgotten to drop my postcards at the post boxes - Marco found them after I had checked out and he did them for me without extra charge. When I visit Venice again, I would definitely stay at Marco's again. I will take the whole tribe with me then I would not hesitate to recommend Marco's B&B to anyone. Thanks sooo much, Marco!

Lovely, lovely B&B! Marco is a very good und lovely host. The B&B is located central, just a stonethrow away from the train station and the ferry on Grand Canal. Its a bit of a walk to Marks Square and Rialto bridge, but not too much. We loved every recommendation of Marco. We would definitely book it again. Breakfast was lovely with homemade cake and fresh eggs every morning.

I feel so pleased and glad that I found Marco's beautiful 4-floured house - it is a listed small jewel which is well restored and lovely furnished - I felt immediately like coming home! I enjoyed the rich and delicious breakfast every morning where you just take a seat in his living/dining room and are even served by his delicious plates (I love his pancakes. It is the perfect start of the day, having breakfast there and a nice talk with Marco and the other guests in a very kind family-atmosphere! Will go back there for sure!

Wir haben vier wunderbare Tage in dieser Unterkunft verbracht. Marco ist ein sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber. Alles ist sehr sauber und die Lage ist central. Die Zimmer zum Garten sind sehr ruhig gelegen und das Frühstück wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Wir werden sicher wiederkehren und das B&B weiter empfehlen.

My wife and I stayed at Marco's place for four nights. Marco is the perfect host! He speaks fluent English (and French too) and told us the best places to eat and explained where to get the vaporetto from, for our planned excursion the following day. He made us delicious pancakes for breakfast, with excellent coffee and homemade cakes on offer too. The property is within walking distance of both Santa Lucia train station and Piazzale Roma bus station (approximately 5 and 10 mins respectively). This might not sound like a big deal, but if you're arriving by train or bus in the middle of summer, you won't want to be walking far with luggage or paying for an expensive water taxi. Despite being located in a busy 'Callè, the rooms are quiet and as most tourists have left by nightfall, there is little in the way of noise. We will definitely be returning and can't wait to catch up with Marco again!

We stayed 2 nights in Venice at Marco’s place which was in a great location, very close to the train station. Marco was a fantastic host, providing us with excellent recommendations as well as great conversation. His breakfast was fantastic! My wife had a knee injury and Marco generously offered to carry her suitcase to the train station. Thank you for everything Marco!

Nous recommandons fortement ce B&B! Super bien situé, près de tout à pied (train, vaporetto, visites..). Carlo est génial, gentil et attentionné. Il parle parfaitement français et anglais. La chambre est très propre, simple, parfaitement à notre goût. C’est bien décoré chambre Marcello (photos de films de Marcello Mastroianni) très bon rapport qualité/prix.

Marco est très à l'écoute des besoins de ses hôtes et très sympathique. Les chambres sont propres et la literie très confortables. Nous recommandons ce B&B.

Marco è una persona a dir poco squisita e disponibilissima. Il B&B si trova vicino alla stazione a 10 minuti da San Marco e vicino ad un approdo dei vaporetti per chi non volesse camminare o volesse farsi un giro sul Canal grande. Buona la colazione e eccellente la pulizia delle stanze. Torneremo di sicuro.

Ottima posizione, 5 minuti dalla stazione il proprietario molto disponibile e cordiale ti fa sentire a casa - colazione con crostata casalinga ottimi i pancake - yogurt cappuccino - caffè ecc., pulito ordinato da consigliare.

Posizione del B&B logisticamente apprezzabile e comodissima: vicina alla stazione ferroviaria e a una fermata dei traghetti. Proprietario molto gentile, disponibile e collaborativo.

Meine Tochter hat ein paar Tage in Venedig verbracht und war ganz begeistert von dem Zimmer, dem Frühstück, der Nähe zum Bahnhof und vor allem vom Gastgeber Marco. Beim nächsten Biennale Besuch kommen wir ganz sicher wieder.

Marco hat sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert, es war richtig familiär bei ihm. Wenn wir wieder nach Venedig kommen, werden wir unbedingt bei ihm übernachten. Außerdem werden wir ihn bei Freunden weiterempfehlen.

A room right in downtown Venice with the basic necessities, except A/C. Wonderfully friendly and entertaining host, Marco. He makes an excellent breakfast!

Perfect in every way. The host Marco is a dream in every way, born in Venice and full. Of information and passion. The location is amazing the rooms large and tastefully decorated. Lovely shower and furniture. The breakfast is simply perfect, proper ground coffee and amazing cakes, omelettes and pancakes mmmmmm. A great experience, we plan to visit again.

Excellent séjour au jardin de Giulia. Le B&B est très bien placé: idéal pour se rendre à pied en ville, ou à deux pas du vaporetto si on est un peu fatigué. Notre chambre était très bien équipée. Elle donnait sur un petit jardin, et était donc très calme. Marco, notre hôte, est quelqùun de très sympathique et serviable. Il nous a donné beaucoup de bons conseils pour découvrir la ville. De plus, son petit déjeuner est excellent. Nous recommandons donc vivement ce B&B.

Very nice B&B. Marco is a very attentive host. Fluent at English and French, makes conversation easy. Guests and Marco sit together at 1 breakfast table for a multi-national chat, so take this into account if you are one of the grumpy sort in the morning. I liked it very much, it shows that Marco has interest in his guests and that he likes his "job".

"Julia's Garden" is a very cute, little B&B in the heart of Venice - not far away from the station and the touristic highlights, but at the same time absolutely quiet and peaceful. The host is warmly and helpful and tells you lots of interesting stories about his wonderful hometown. And the three guest rooms are quite small, but very nice and individually designed.

Venezia mi è rimasta nel cuore, tornerò sicuramente. Un abbraccio e grazie per tutto. Arrivederci.

What an excellent find, in one of the small back streets in Venice. An oasis of calm our room looked onto the garden at the back of the church and was small but comfortable with everything we needed. Marco was very attentive nothing was too much trouble and his breakfast were delicious and set us up for our two days sightseeing. Could highly recommend.

La posizione è ottima (centro raggiungibile tranquillamente a piedi e fermate del trasporto pubblico e stazione vicinissime). A colazione si sta tutti insieme e ci si perde a parlare con Marco, una persona davvero gradevole e di ottima compagnia. Excellent accueil avec Marco aux fourneaux pour un petit-déjeuner fait maison avec de beaux produits et pain maison. Chaleureux conseils pour la liste des visites et expos de Venise et des bonnes tables typiquement vénitiennes. Chambre très bien tenue, calme et à l'abri du va et vient de la foule dans un quartier typique de la Venise authentique et à 5 mn de la Gare et 10 mn du Rialto et à 50 m du Grand Canal. A recommander tant pour son emplacement et la qualité de notre hôte. Exceptionnel à ce niveau de prix.

Sono stata fortunata a trovare questo posto perché ho prenotato 2 giorni prima e in pieno periodo di vacanze. Non mi aspettavo di trovarmi cosí bene. Non potevo trovare di meglio perché: - si trova veramente a 2 passi dalla stazione e facile da raggiungere - la stanza che ho avuto io era quella a tema "rock", molto carina e pulita, forse un pó chiassosa visto che sotto c'è un bar, ma è stato lo stesso piacevole ascoltare la gente parlare il dialetto veneziano! - la colazione é deliziosa e curata nei minini particolari grazie a Marco che prepara tutto con amore, si vede ;) - il gestore, Marco, persona molto gentile e disponibile che ti da tutte le dritte per visitare al meglio la città. Lo consiglio a tutti, e se dovró ritornare a Venezia, ritornerò sicuramente qui! Grazie anche a Marco per l'accoglienza. Mariarosa.

J'ai changé au dernier moment de BnB pour me rapprocher du centre ville et je n'ai pas été déçu. L'accueil était formidable. La chambre était très propre et spacieuse. Le petit déjeuné était copieux. Le Bnb se situe au centre de Venise, à 10 mn de la place Saint Marc. Je reviendrais à ce BnB lors de mon prochain voyage à Venise. Je le recommande vivement.

Posizione ottima, stanza molto carina e pulita, Marco una persona accogliente e disponibile che tratta con cura gli ospiti e si occupa personalmente della gestione della casa. Colazione bio con prodotti cucinati da lui. Unica piccola pecca assenza di aria condizionata in una Venezia afosa ma sempre bellissima. Tornerò sicuramente in questo delizioso B&B.

Un soggiorno magnifico. Tutto davvero splendido. La location è perfetta per la sua vicinanza alla stazione (davvero solo 5 minuti a piedi) e dai principali punti di partenza per i battelli che portano ai vari punti di Venezia stessa e delle isole vicine. Posizione ottimale anche per chi vuole girare Venezia a piedi. Il gestore è di una cordialità e gentilezza uniche al mondo, mai trovato nulla di simile nei miei viaggi: ti fa sentire subito a tuo agio, disponibilità massima. Io lo consiglio vivamente e spero di tornarci presto.

Mi sono trovata non bene, di più. Le camere denotano la passione con cui sono state fatte; la pulizia è ottima ed io sono nell'ambiente sanitario; i prodotti sono bio; il proprietario è disponibilissimo e simpaticissimo e professionalissimo; insomma: andateci. Grazie Marco, alla prossima.

Posizione ottima per chi arriva in treno, a 5 minuti dalla stazione. Marco, con la sua cordialità, la sua disponibilità e le sue storie cittadine, fa davvero sentire più a casa che in viaggio. Struttura pulita ed accogliente, originale e curata dei dettagli e nell'arredamento, frutto di ricerca e segno di indiscutibile gusto. Colazione ricca a base di prodotti biologici e salutari. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. Pollice in alto.

Grandissima disponibilità del gestore, prontissimo a venire a prendere le persone alla stazione, disponibilità di lasciare i bagagli il giorno di partenza e rimanere in casa per il ritiro. Grandi consigli per trovare i locali giusti per mangiare e bere! Da seguirlo.

Mai stati meglio in nessuna struttura finora visitata. Il gestore ci ha fatto sentire da subito a casa, accogliendo noi ed il nostro cane con la massima disponibilità. Il quartiere in cui si trova la struttura è ideale per visitare tutta la città poichè si trova in posizione non centrale, ma a poca distanza sia dagli imbarcadero per le isole sia dal centro. La pulizia è massima, i locali arredati con gusto e con mobili in stile. Colazione sempre diversa, sfiziosa e totalmente BIO. In camera si trovano bollitore e vasto assortimento di tè, infusi, tisane, oltre al caffè al gin seng solubile. Inoltre nel frigobar ci sono sempre dei succhi di frutta biologici e sul tavolinetto il proprietario fa trovare sempre qualche snack dolce, cosa che rende ancor più gradevole ogni rientro in stanza. La passione e la dedizione con cui Marco gestisce la sua struttura rende davvero speciale la permanenza in questo bed and breakfast, davvero più che consigliabile, anche a chi viaggia col proprio animale. Potete stare sicuri che chi accoglie il vostro quattro zampe lo fa per assoluto amore verso gli animali, sincero ed evidente, non certo per business. Non è infatti richiesto alcun compenso extra per il soggiorno di animali domestici. Nonostante avessimo detto che avremmo portato le nostre ciotole, Marco ce ne ha fatte trovare due in camera, che trovavamo sempre linde al nostro rientro. Difficile trovare in B&B in cui ogni giorno il letto viene rifatto, la stanza pulita. Anche i detersivi impiegati sono eco compatibili. Torneremo sicuramente, come già detto a Marco, che ormai consideriamo un amico di famiglia. Lo stesso dicasi della sua compagna, che abbiamo visto non troppo spesso perchè impegnata nel suo lavoro di architetto, la cui mano si nota nell'arredo degli ambienti. Non da ultimo la struttura, totalmente ristrutturata, è dotata di rivestimento per garantire la minor dispersione termica possibile, perciò la stanza in inverno è sempre calda anche se il riscaldamento è spento. I più freddolosi hanno comunque la possibilità di regolare il riscaldamento a proprio piacimento. La coibentazione di cui sopra rende evidentemente fresche le stanze in estate. Per questo motivo è sufficiente il ventilatore a soffitto. Il massimo davvero.

L'ospitalità è stata squisita, da amico che accoglie a casa più che albergatore. A colazione a parte l'ottima crostata fatta in casa, tanti consigli utili sulla permanenza a Venezia. Grazie Marco! Fabio e Angela.

Marco is the nicest guest! We greatly enjoyed our stay at his B&B. He talked a lot with us, gave us useful tips (including the best place to get cichetti!) and served what was probably the best breakfast we got during our whole trip.
