Description

Nice old house within the town walls. The two double bedrooms, each with a private en suite bathroom, have a warm atmosphere and a view of the rose garden on the XVI Century walls and of the little park of St Giustina Basilica.

We stayed here for 5 days and felt very comfortable from the first moment. The location is good, close to Prato della Valle, the old town is easily reachable on foot, and there are bus stops nearby if needed. The room is quiet with a beautiful view of the greenery and the domes of the church, the beds are good, everything is very clean and well-maintained, and everything you need is there. The B&B is solidly and tastefully furnished, well thought out and with attention to detail. Chiara, the landlady, is a very kind person, friendly, accommodating, flexible, and always concerned about the well-being of her guests. If we come back to Padua, we would rent here again immediately. Highly recommended!

We stayed for a week, the accommodation was perfect for us. The room was extremely tidy and the atmosphere was nice, with beautiful views from the room to the rose garden. Walking distance to Prato della Valle and center, calm environment. If you are a very sensitive sleeper and want to sleep with the window open, earplugs are recommended but mainly because of the birds singing, not so much the traffic. Chiara was the kindest, most caring and helpful host we have ever met, she made sure that everything is good, even asked for special breakfast wishes (although we did not have any, breakfast was superb as it was). Everything went super smoothly, I highly recommend staying at Chiara's place! <3

We had 4 wonderful days in Padova. The host Chiara was very friendly, kind, and helpful. So we could put our bicycles in the house, and Chiara helped us find a parking lot for the car. The room itself was small and simple but contained all we needed. The view from our room was really nice. The house is located only 10 minutes walking distance away from Prato della Valle and the city.

Perfect location, a few steps from Prato della Valle. Car parking not available but can be found in the surrounding area with a bit of patience. Everything very clean, Wi-Fi working, heating ok, varied and abundant breakfast. The lady is kind and very precise, always present, made us feel truly welcome guests. Without a doubt, we would return to this b&b if we had to stay in Padua. I recommend it. Rating 10!

Excellent location and easily accessible by public transport in a beautiful and quiet area. My stay was perfect, especially thanks to the excellent communication with the very kind Mrs. Chiara, caring, available, and attentive to meeting my needs. The structure is welcoming, and the room has everything necessary for a comfortable stay and is also very clean. Definitely recommended for anyone wishing to spend some days in Padua in comfort and tranquility.

The B&B is in an ideal position to visit Padova. All sites are in walking distance. It is calm and you can sleep with open window. Chiara is a very caring host and organizes all needs and information. Though you have to park your car in public spaces, these are available in the area. We parked in a residential street without fees 3 minutes walking from the place. A worthy place to stay for a visit to Padova.

The 7 nights at 'Il Bastione' were an absolute highlight of my 3-week trip to Italy. Chiara, who runs this incredibly harmonious and beautiful B&B, is a kind soul. She is so friendly, extremely likable, and always helpful and accommodating. I felt welcome and at home from the very first second. The whole house has a wonderful aura. It is located in close proximity (almost at the rear) of the Basilica of Santa Giustina. The rooms are decorated with a lot of love and taste. Within a few minutes, you are at the Prato della Valle and at the Basilica of St. Anthony. Chiara, thank you very much and all the best. See you soon :-).

I would highly recommend Il Bastione. The host was exceptional in making you feel at home and comfortable. You could not ask for more, and if you did, I am sure she would endeavour to try! I liked this property mainly because: it is a charming property.

Perfect stay from every point of view. The structure is very close to Prato della Valle and therefore in a really convenient location. At the entrance, a full bookstore welcomes you and immediately makes you feel at home. Our room (number 3, on the second floor) was very spacious with beamed ceiling, comfortable bed, small but very functional bathroom; more than abundant breakfast, impeccable cleanliness. Worth mentioning the kindness and availability of Chiara, who accommodated us for a couple of special requests, such as an early breakfast on Sunday morning for my husband who was running the marathon. Absolutely recommended!

We spent two nights at B&B Il Bastione and we are very satisfied with our choice! The room is spacious, beautiful exposed beams and parquet, the only small criticism is the bathroom a bit small but absolutely livable. The lady who runs the B&B is infinitely kind and helpful and made us feel welcome immediately. The breakfast is good and plentiful. I absolutely recommend!

We were very satisfied with our stay at the B&B Il Bastione in Padua. It is very comfortable, quiet, clean, and bright. The rooms are tastefully and simply decorated. It is located near the Prato della Valla and is well served by public transport. However, you can easily do everything on foot. Our hostess was charming, available, and attentive; she allowed us, thanks to her kindness and perseverance, to finalize a booking at the Scrovegni Chapel. B&B to recommend for anyone who wants to discover Padua, combining a pleasant setting and warm hospitality.
